Love You Mush!

This week's Lawnscaping Challenge is to use watercolor :)  It's one of my favorites so I thought I'd play along using the adorable Gleeful Garden set:

I started with a panel of watercolor paper and used a sponge to add some light green and blue inks to the background.  I splattered it with watercolor and used a paper towel to soak it up.  Next I stamped out the grasses and the snail.  I painted over the inside of the images with water and soaked it up too!  This erased the background color so I was able to use lighter colors without having the green mixed in to the little snail.

I stamped the mushrooms onto a scrap of watercolor paper and cut them out.  I watercolored them in and when they were dry, I added them to the panel with foam adhesive.  I added the sentiment, a strip of patterned paper by Bella Blvd. and some twine to the panel.  Then I added it to a blue card front using foam adhesive for dimension.

This stamp set is so cute!!  I'm glad I finally got to pull it out to play!

Here is the challenge graphic- if you have time, you should play along, too! :)

Thanks for popping by today!  Hope you have a great weekend!

Freckled Fawn + Waffle Flower Special Blog Hop

I have some fun cards to share with you today! Waffle Flower is teaming up with Freckled Fawn to bring you some awesome inspiration for Spring! Two members from each of our design teams are sharing projects today, including me!  Pop over to the Waffle Flower Blog and the Freckled Fawn Blog to see how we paired awesome Waffle Flower stamps and dies with the cutest embellishments from Freckled Fawn!

I loved this collaboration so much!  Here are the cards I made:

For this card, I paired the Gemstone Stamp Set with some cute goodies from the April OHDEERME Kit.  I stamped the lines with 4-Sweet Lilac ink from the Spring Blend Ink Pad.  I love the all the little bits and pieces on this one!  I had fun layering them all :)

I featured an awesome square doily from Freckled Fawn and the Congrats Stamp Set and die on this next one:

Isn't that doily cool?  I cut the edge off and layered it onto the center of my card front.  I added a bit of patterned paper and clustered the rest over the top of it.  The felt sticker and epoxy hearts are from the April OHDEERME Kit as well.  The banner was stamped with 10-Wild Orchard ink from the Summer Blend Ink Pad.

One more card to share- this one mixes clouds, hearts, and stitching :)

I stamped the clouds from the Rain Check Stamp Set with white ink and then stamped the stitched heart from the Flutter Stamp Set with 12-Navy ink from the Summer Blend Ink Pad over the top.  I also stamped the sentiment in black.  I stitched over the top of all the stamping with my sewing machine and gray thread.  I added a little yellow splatter and then added my embellishments, an adorable epoxy cloud yellow epoxy dots from the Neon collection.

Don't you think Freckled Fawn and Waffle Flower are perfect together? :)  I do!  I really had fun with these!

If you'd like a chance to win some fun Waffle Flower goodies leave comments as you pop through the hop!  Nina will be choosing one person to win from the combined comments.  Now pop over to Katie's blog to see what she made!

Freckled Fawn is also giving away the April OHDEERME Kit so leave a comment on their blog too! :)

Hi there!

How is it Monday again already?  I meant to post this last week but the time got away with me!  It seems that April is our busiest month of the year and many of the most anticipated days were last week!  Funny how things end up happening all at the same time, isn't it?  This week is almost as busy but it's all fun!

Anyways, I am excited to announce the winner for the Circle Flower Die Set from Waffle Flower Crafts is Denise Bryant!  I hope you'll love the dies as much as I do! :)

I was in need of a pretty wedding card over the weekend and created this just for the happy couple.  Lots of white and texture going on!  I chose the Doily Square Die, Gemstone Stamp Set, and Doily Square Stamp Set to work with on this one.  Here's a closer look at the details:

Alright!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  I hope I'll find some time to share some other things this week, too- I have a pile of cards just waiting to show you!

I Love You This Much Card

Hello!  Hope your day is starting out well!  Mine is good- our spring break was just the slow down I needed! :)

I have a fun card to share today.  It features a couple of cute stamps from Waffle Flower Crafts:

I mixed the Flutter Stamp Set, On My Mark Stamp Set,  On My Mark Dies, and Spring Blend Ink Pad for this one.  I stamped the kitty out first using the #2 Fresh Grass ink.  I diecut him and set him aside for later.  Next, I stamped the large heart with #5 Pretty Peony ink and then stamped the stitched heart in gray ink.  I added two little hearts using the #3 Pebble Ink, too.  I splattered it all with my favorite gray mist.  I found some brown striped paper to stamp my sentiment on.  I used Versamark and white embossing powder for it.

I created a light tan card base and embossed it using a scattered dots embossing folder.  I added the white panel to the center of the card and then layered the brown striped paper to the bottom portion.  I tied a bit of gray twine around it, too.  I added the kitty next, using foam adhesive to pop it up.  I finished with a sprinkling of sequins.

I love the colors in this one- the new inks are so pretty!  And the green cat makes me smile! :)

Hope you have a great day!

Painting By The Numbers

Hi!

I had an emergency come up and couldn't post this yesterday- sorry!

I am so excited to be playing along with Paper Issues and Waffle Flower Crafts today!  We mixed the February Swag Bag from Paper Issues with the Calendar Numbers Stamp Set from Waffle Flower Crafts:

I used the Calendar Numbers Stamp Set to create a patterned background on my white card front.  I stamped the ones to make a plus :)  I also used the zero outline to create a scallop pattern on the journaling card.

The fun bits and pieces are all from the Swag Bag- such fun things in it!!  I layered them to create a fun focal point on my card.

I love it when two fun companies link up!  Please hop over to the Paper Issues Blog for more information and for a linky party!

Showered With Love Card

I've had this adorable stamp set by Taylored Expressions for about a year- I'm glad I finally pulled it out to play!

Aren't the whales cute?  :)  I started the card by stamping the waves with different colored blue ink.  I like that they aren't perfectly lined up.  I stamped the sentiment next with black ink.  The whales were stamped with two shades of the blue ink I used previously and then diecut out.  I added foam adhesive and figured out where I wanted them to go.  Before adding them to the card, I stamped the spout above where the bigger whale would go.  I colored in the hearts with a red Copic marker and also added some sequins.  The whales were adhered last.  Here's a closer look:

I'm adding this to the latest Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge link up- it's all about animals!  :)

Hope you are having a great day!!

Waffle Flower DT Mix Blog Hop

Hi!  I am so excited about today's post!  There is a special stamp set in the latest Waffle Flower Crafts release that each DT member was invited to contribute to.  The DT Mix Stamp Set went on sale today!!

Isn't that fun!!  I love how different each image is but at the same time, they work so well together!  I chose "you will forever be my always" as my contribution.  I love that saying- it truly makes my heart smile! :)  Here is what I made with it:

I wanted to create a semi watercolored look with the heart.  I chose a few shades of soft pink from my Stampin' Up! markers and colored over the solid image in a messy sort of way.  I huffed on it and stamped it onto a panel of white card stock.  I took the same colored ink and splattered it around the heart as well and let it dry.  Next, I stamped the sentiment with my Versafine black ink- it is so crisp and stamps the best out of all my black inks!  I added just a few sequins around the sentiment for embellishment.

I created a cardbase out of white cardstock and added the strip of patterned paper by Pink Paislee to the left side.  I added the panel over the top using foam adhesive dots for dimension.  It's a simple look but really lets those pretty stamps shine!

Would you like a chance to win the DT Mix Stamp Set?

Waffle Flower Crafts is providing a stamp set of choice as a prize for this hop! The random winner will be drawn from comments left on all of our blogs! Enter by 11:59pm Eastern on Thursday, Jan 8. Monochrome Sheep for Waffle Flower Crafts

Hello!

Happy New Year!!  2015 is here and off to a great start!  I'm celebrating with my first release for Waffle Flower Crafts!  Pop over to the Waffle Flower Blog to see today's featured sets.  I'm using a fun one- the new Monochrome Stamp Set:

The Monochrome Stamp Set is full of all things black and white!  It's just quirky and fun!  I love it!  I started with a gray card base and stamped a pattern on the bottom with matching gray ink.  Next, I splattered the card front with a darker gray mist and let it dry.   I stamped the sheep on to white cardstock and colored the white one with aqua Copics.  I fussy cut around them both.  I diecut a piece of vellum with the large tag from the Surface- Tag Die- Starter Kit Set and stamped the sentiment onto it with Staz On ink.  I figured out where I was going to place it and stamped the word bubble in gray ink onto the card front.  I adhered the vellum tag over the top.  I added the sheep, using foam adhesive dots to stick them down.  I stamped the heart between them to finish if all off.

Aren't these guys fun!  You should see the rest of the Monochrome Stamp Set!  It's just as cute! :)  Pop over to today's post on the Waffle Flower Blog to see what else is new!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy New Year!

Thank My Lucky Stars for You Card

Good morning!  Hope your day is off to a good start! :)  I'm sharing a card I made for my husband today using the Starry Night Stamp Set by Waffle Flower Crafts:

This stamp set is one of my favorites!  There are so many options and it's fun to build space scenes!  I started with a black cardstock panel and stamped some stars and dots with white ink.  Next, I splattered it with some shimmer spray.  The sentiment was added to the bottom corner using Versamark and embossing it with white powder.  I added a few rhinestones around it, too!

I knew I wanted to create an inlaid diecut look with the moon.  I stamped the outline onto gray paper and cut it out.  I added the craters with gray ink and the same shimmer spray as before.  I pulled out the Tiny Heart Die  and placed it in the lower, right hand side of the moon and ran it through my diecut machine.  I then placed my moon onto the black panel using foam adhesive to pop up the moon and the heart for dimension.

Once the focal panel was finished, I made a card out of light aqua cardstock.  I added a bit of patterned paper from Teresa Collins Studio Gold 6x6 pad to the bottom of the card.  I added a strip of silver foil paper over the seam, at an angle across the card.  I placed a panel of vellum on the card next, at an angle and then layered my black panel over the top, also at a slight angle.  I love the layers!

I'm so glad I pulled out the Starry Night Stamp Set to play with- it really is a fun one! :)  Hope you have a great day!

Wild About You Card

NEWTONS NOOK Wild About You Card

Hi!  I love the adorable Wild Child set by Newton's Nook Designs!  The baby animals are just so fun to color!    Today's card features the tigers from that set.  I colored them with Copics first and then added a little shading with my Prismacolor pencils.  They turned out so bright and cheerful!
I picked out papers from the Plus One collection 6x6 pad by Amy Tangerine to use with the tigers.  Since the colors were bright, I picked a white card base so they would really pop.

NEWTONS NOOK Wild About You Card 2

Once my card was put together, I stamped my sentiment onto the bright pink watercolor printed paper and added the tigers next to it.  I added just a few white epoxy dots for embellishment to finish off the look.

I hope these little guys brought a smile to your face today!

Teresa Collins Save The Date Cards

Hello!  I had some cards up on the Teresa Collins team blog this week using the beautiful Save the Date collection.  This collection is so pretty- I love using it for cards!  I thought I'd share them here too.

My first one showcases the pretty papers from the Save the Date collection:

Best Friend Card 1

I started with a kraft card base.  I added a panel of the music print paper (Our Song) that I had cut from the bottom right corner of the sheet to include the forever bit.  I created a cluster of embellishments around the forever- a bit of metallic black baker's twine, the best friend sticker, and the roses diecut from the ephemera pack.  I added it to my card front using foam adhesive dots and added the sticker strip to the left edge.  I added some pretty sequins to finish off the look.

Best Friend Card 3

The texture in the 12x12 sheets is so pretty!  I love how it adds a bit of luxe to every project I create with it!

My second card showcases one of the new overlays from the Save the Date collection:

Always And Forever Card 1

I chose the overlay that said always and forever because I thought it would make a fun sentiment.  I cut it to fit my 4.24 x 5.5" card base and adhered it to the front using adhesive only where it would be covered by the next layers.  I added a large banner of the small hexagon print (Just Married) next and then added the small banners over the top of it.  They are both from the Ephemera pack.  I added a small staple to the heart one and then embellished with a few of the sequins I love so much!

Always and Forever Card 3

The overlays look great on cards- they are shiny and add another dimension of texture!

I had a lot of fun with my last card!  I pulled out the pretty scalloped mask from the Basically Essential line to create the background on it:

Wooden Love Card 3

I love Teresa's new stencils!  There are just so many things you can do with them!  This time I pulled out my spritzer and a pretty blue marker.  I created the speckles first and then went back and added a bit of matching blue ink with a sponge to make the color pop under my main cluster.

I added a strip of the striped washi and then adhered the wooden pieces.  Then I added a bit of twine and a few enamel dots next and then finished it off with the always and forever sticker.  It just turned out so pretty!

Wooden Love 4

The Save the Date collection is such a beautiful one!  It always makes me happy to pull it out and create!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

A Few Cards...

It is my turn to share on the Teresa Collins Designs team blog today!  I had so much fun making the cards, I thought I'd share them here, too!  I chose the Save The Date Collection to work with- mainly using the 6x6 patterned paper pad with lots of the beautiful embellishments!

My first card features one of the stamps from the Save The Date stamp set:

Inset Love Card 1

I love the sentiment and wanted it to stand out on my card.  I stamped it onto white cardstock with black ink and adhered it to my brown card base.  Next I cut my patterned paper to fit over the center of the card.  I punched the circle over where the sentiment was and used pop up foam adhesive to adhere it to my card from to frame the sentiment.  It gives the card a little extra dimension!

Inset Love Card 3

I chose some ephemera pieces, stickers, jewels, brads, buttons, and sequins to embellish this card- they are all circles but in many different sizes that work well together.

I feature another beautiful stamp from the Save The Date set on my next card:

Stars In The Sky Card 2

I started with a tan card base and added the strips of patterned paper near the bottom.  Next, I took a square of watercolor paper and painted some of my favorite blue stamping ink onto it with an aqua brush.  I dried it with an embossing gun.  Once it was dry, I stamped it with Versamark ink and heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.  The sentiment really shines!  I added a little bit of gold twine to finish off the look.

Stars In The Sky Card 3

It is such a pretty stamp isn't it?  I really love it!

And one more to share today- I used some of the great Basically Essentials Modeling Paste and Stencils on this one:

You Are My Dream Card 1

I started with a crisp white card base and used the hearts stencil with the paste.  I love the texture!  It creates such a pretty pattern on the white!  Once the paste was dry, I added a banner of the pink patterned paper, the smaller polka-dotted paper, and a banner from the ephemera pack.  I tied a bit of linen thread around the top and finished it off with the epoxy heart and jewel.

You Are My Dream Card 3

I am so happy with how these turned out!  I love using different techniques on each card- they were so fun!!  I hope you try out one or all of these techniques for yourself!

Thanks for joining me today!
