Cá está!

Contemplating the cloudy sky and the massive trunk of a tree under a magical light is difficult when one is alone. Not being able to feel the pleasure of seeing a magnificent landscape with someone else is a form of torture. That is why I started taking photographs. I wanted somehow to eternalize those moments of passion and pain.

Saber ver

Tumbani, a small locale in Bengal/India, rapidly makes his way into industrialisation. I tried to follow this transformation of tumbani and similar places. How to safe our culture and collective memory? What stays after a long time? The landscapes and emptiness symbolize time, the transformation of a landscape is a slow prozess, more than changes in human community. Portraits are moments in time, they connect me with Tumbani and their people, I can't be distant from them...

Ver

"I'm a photographer. But I'm not the kind of photographer who prefers looking at life through a lens. If we take photographs to remember, what do we do when we're not taking photographs?"
