Post 358: Vintage Shabby Chic Christmas Card (wreath)

Hi friends :)
Happy Sunday!

I'd like to share a Vintage Layered Shabby Chic Christmas Card today. This was part of my DT work for Bob n Betty, all the details can be checked out here. I made 2 cards, this is one of them. This one features a wreath :) The sentiment reads, "season's greetings".

Synopsis of the Process:

This card is 4.5 by 8.5 inches in size. There are multiple layers in the card, the main panel is made from Decoupage paper (Vintage Wheels Collection). I’ve added hand stitching to the borders, for a finished look & as a textural element. The edges of all the papers and mats were deckled and distressed for a worn out look. Elements used for layering & embellishment include lace, old book papers, torn pieces of scrapbook papers (Woodies Collection), twine, die cuts, wood embellishments, gems, net, gauze, pollens & buttons. Some of the elements were foam mounted to get a 3-d look and white gesso was dry brushed on some of the elements like the pollens to get a more shabby look. In the end, white splatter was created with white acrylic paint, to imitate the look of snow and a few pearls were added using perfect pearls.

Post 266: Card (Have a Blast)

Hi friends :)

I'd like to share a card today. This was made for a Guest Design post for Craftreat. All the details can be checked out here. I'm slowly sharing the projects on my blog as I get the time.

For this celebration card, I’ve done ink blending through the Fireworks Stencil using 3 shades of distress oxides (spiced marmalade, worn lipstick and fossilized amber) and then stamped on some more fireworks and the sentiment with the same inks. It is important to remember that distress oxides become lighter in color after some time. In the end, I added a bit of sparkle with pink stickles and gold star sequins.

List of Supplies:

Mudra Craft Stamps- Crackers
White Cardstock 250 gsm
Craftreat Stencil- Fireworks
Distress Oxide Inkpads- Spiced Marmalade, Worn Lipstick & Fossilized Amber)
Winnie & Walter Essentials: Lana Cutaways
Tombow Mono Multi Glue
Pink Stickles
Gold Star Sequins

Post 198- CAS birthday card

Hi friends :)

I'd like to share a Cute Clean and Simple card today. This is a standard A2 size top folding card. The images and sentiment are heat embossed in white and then I did ink blending using distress oxides on top of that, this was a resist technique since embossed images repel ink. Created some splatter with water on this panel and then dabbed it with a tissue to add interest to the panel with that whitish oxidized look. Added a couple of striped washis to the card base and embellished the card with die cut stars and silver sequins

List of Supplies:

Newton's Nook Designs Stamp- Newton Loves Cake
Ranger's Heat Tool
Ranger's Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder
Homemade Emboss Buddy
Versamark Watermark Mini Inkpad
Iris White Cardstock 250 gsm
Gina Marie Designs x stitched rectangles die
Xcut Nesting Stars die
Striped Washi Tapes

Here are a couple of photographs of the card:

I am playing along with the following challenges:
