30 Day Song Challenge

Hindi ko pa pala natatapos ang aking 30 day song challenge na ngayon ay naging 3-month long na. Para matapos na, here's the final list of my 30 day song challenge.


Day 11: A song from your favourite band
It Ends Tonight - All American Rejects. I'm a big AllAmReject fan and this is my fave of all.



Day 12: A song from a band you hate
Stay - Cueshe. Don't have anything against Cueshe and not that I hate the band, its just that I don't find their music that good but I do like this song Stay.



Day 13: A song that is a guilty pleasure
Chasing Pavements - Adele. Isa ito sa mga pampatulog playlist ko :)



Day 14: A song that no one would expect you to love
Don't Forget - Demi Lovato. I'ved known Demi dahil sa kakapanood ng pamangkin ko sa nickelodeon and when this single came out, nagustuhan ko dahil sa lyrics nito, emo mode!



Day 15: A song that describes you
Be Like That - 3 Doors Down. Heard it on the American Pie movie at nakarelate ako bigla sa kantang ito.



Day 16: A song that you used to love but now hate
-NONE- Lahat kasi ng gusto kong kanta dati ay gusto ko pa din hanggang ngayon.


Day 17: A song that you hear often on the radio
Lighters - Bad Meets Evil featuring Bruno Mars. I seldom listen to radio, which is always tuned in to mellow 94.7, and I do hear this track.



Day 18: A song that you wish you heard on the radio
Look At Me Now - Karmin. Or any song that was covered by Karmin, because they do a hell good cover song.



Day 19: A song from your favorite album
If You Ever Come Back - The Script. From their Science and Faith album, ito yung paulit-ulit na pinakikinggan ko.



Day 20: A song that you listen to when you’re angry
Call It Karma - Silverstein. I usually listen to loud rock music when I want to detach myself to this crazy world *angst* hehehe..



Day 21: A song that you listen to when you’re happy
Give Me Everything - Pitbull featuring Ne-yo. So happy that I wanna dance at ito ang swak sa tugs tugs tugs :D



Day 22: A song that you listen to when you’re sad
When It Rains - Paramore. This is one sad sad song for those who want to be more sad, senti mode.



Day 23: A song that you want to play at your wedding
Marry You - Bruno Mars. A wedding song with a beat that you can dance to mala-glee wedding ito, hehehe..



Day 24: A song that you want to play at your funeral
I'll Be Missing You - Puff Daddy and Faith Evans. Always present na yata itong kantang 'to sa mga funerals mula ng sumikat to.



Day 25: A song that makes you laugh
Teach Me How To Dougie - Cali Swag District. Nakatutuwang sayawin ang dougie at sigurado akong alam mo na ang step nito.



Day 26: A song that you can play on an instrument
Torete - Moonstar88. I only learned how to play the guitar and this song ang una kong natutunan dahil it only has 4 chords.



Day 27: A song that you wish you could play
Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana. Malupit na guitar chords kaya hindi ko kayang iplay sa guitar to.



Day 28: A song that makes you feel guilty
Guilty - Usher featuring T.I. Can't think of any song so as the title implies, im guilty :D



Day 29: A song from your childhood
Ang Huling El Bimbo - Eraserheads. Batang 90's ako at E-heads ang nangunguna sa music scene noon.



Day 30: Your favourite song at this time last year
Club Can’t Handle Me - Flo Rida featuring David Guetta. Been a fan of the Step Up movies and last year was the third installment, Step Up 3D.

This song reminds me of our company christmas party back in 2008. Its my first time to attend and that marks my one year employment. Can't think of anything to add but that has been a great party. I'ved been with Trend for 3 years and a half but sadly, I am resigning and will surely miss my coworkers and friends who's been with me in those great years :(

This song reminds me of all the refreshing beaches here in the Phils. that I already visited. Sarap magbabad sa beach with this song at the background, a feel-good song for a refreshing and relaxing vacation.. Sakto pa na ito ang soundtrack ng Leonardo DiCaprio movie, The Beach. If I'm not mistaken, this song was written for that movie which was released in year 2000. I wonder where is the All Saints band now?

Ang kanta ni ex sa akin. Still remember the kulitan at mga asukal habang nakikinig sa kantang ito ngunit wala ng saysay at hanggang reminisce na lang dahil naglahong parang bula si ex. Even though we ended up badly, still holds no grudge to this song, salamat sa (500) Days of Summer. Tatapusin ko na 'to bago pa mag-emo nanaman ako :D

Pagpacensyahan na po ang video dahil wala akong mahanap na matino sa youtube. Ang kanta para sa mga heartbroken na umaasa pa din at hindi makamove on na tulad ko, hehe.. Ilang buwan din nagasgas ang album na 'to sa aking ipod dati dahil sa paulit-ulit-ulit na pakikinig at page-emo. Best played during umuulan at ikaw ay nakadungaw sa bintana na nakatitig sa kawalan.

This song is part of her latest album "Goodbye Lullaby" which was released this year. Been an Avril fan since her 'Complicated' song came out in 2002. What I liked most about her is the punk rock style that she bring in to her music wherein listeners would easily recognize that its her own signature plus the necktie and tank-top combination of clothing. But new album now, as I may say, gives us a new side of her. It still has that Avril-rock-angst but more on a pop-hip-attitude, still I like her :)

Day 02: Your least favourite song

my least fave song: Time Stands Still by The All American Rejects



Nahirapan akong pumili ng least fave song ko dahil halos lahat ay most fave ko yata. The All American Rejects is one of my fave alternative band at ang pinakagusto kong song nila ay It Ends Tonight kaya naman itong Time Stands Still na ang least fave ko. Been a fan of them since they release their self-titled debut album in 2003 which I do have a CD copy na ngayon ay nawawala na dahil hindi ibinalik sa'kin at nakalimutan ko na din kung sinong may sala, good thing na download na uso ngayon at hindi ko na kailangan pang bumili ng CD ulet. It was also thru MTV also that I became aware of this band where their first music video was shown (Swing, Swing).

Day 01: Your favourite song

my all-time favorite song: Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls


First heard it on the 'City of Angels' movie and it instantly became one of my favorites. I was still in high school when this song became famous and I never knew the Goo Goo Dolls back then, siguro I was not into rock/alternative genre dati kasi puro pop bands pa uso nung 90's. But after hearing this song, I was eager to look forward to their other songs and the MTV channel was the one that introduce them to me. I was then hooked to their catchy rock sound and cant get enough playing their song such over and over again. Other tracks that I like was Here is Gone, Slide, Big Machine and Name. Their "Greatest Hits Volume One" album is sure keeper to all those Goo Goo Dolls fans and to those who aren't, I'm sure that you will love this also.

I first heard about this few months back when a friend of mine is posting videos of this 30 day song challenge but i never pay attention to it. I came across iamjool blog wherein this challenge is posted so it made me interested on what would be the songs that i will choose for this challenge when i make my own list. Since i breathe music everyday, always plug in to my ipod even at work and like most of us, expresses feelings and mood thru music, i will take this challenge and give you my own version of this 30 day song challenge.

karmin cover

buzz worthy: Karmin

another youtube sensation that is making waves in the music scene. first heard of karmin when a friend of mine posted their video of super bass, their own cover of the nicki minaj song. i was then hooked at how the female vocalist raps effortlessly. so i did a little youtubing and found out their other cover songs. their cover song for the chris brown's "look at me now" made a 21,244,580 views as of this writing and still counting. they also appeared on the ellen show because of this cover song.
