Elle's Studio February Reveal | February 9x12 pocket page

It's the 10th of the month so it is reveal day for Elle's Studio! I will share my first project, a 9x12 pocket page, also my favorite new products and a preview of all the goodies in the shop today!

Supplies: February 2022 KitFuchsia Cardstock Label Stickers, Grid Circle Cardstock Stickers, Life Captured Stickers, This Month Cardstock stickers, Icon Tab Stamp

The three add-ons I recommend this month are:

- the Icon tab stamps (I ended up using them several times this month),

- the Grid Circle Cardstock stickers (great new way to add color and details on photos)

- the Fuchsia Jane Tile alphabet as well as the labels in the same color (I just adore this color, period!)

Elle's Studio January Reveal | January 9x12 pocket page

Today is the first reveal of 2022 in the Elle's Studio shop and I can share my first project created with the new kit and very few extras.
Supply list: January 2022 Kit, January 2022 Labels, Love Chipboard Stickers, This Month Cardstock Stickers

The pocket below is my favorite! I cut one of the 4x6 cards from the kit and used it in two pockets. I first cut strips to frame my large photo and then cut a 3x4 card from the remainder to use it in another pocket.
The colors from this card also dictated my choice of colors for the rest of the spread. Using the same white journaling strips throughout also unifies the page.
On reveal day, I like to share my top three extras in case you're hesitant on what to get:
1. the Love Chipboard stickers: because they are always the best embellishments to finish your pages (or cards...)
2. Light Pink Labels stickers: not used here but a major part of an upcoming project. No-one has enough label stickers!
3. Love you Stamp set: again not used here but on several other projects. It has a modern feel and is very versatile. I can see it used directly on photos and on greeting cards...

Here is a look at all the new products for this month and my affiliate link to the shop (thank you):

Happy crafting!

Elle's Studio December Reveal | The last days of 2019

It's the last reveal of the year at Elle's Studio today and before I share all the new goodies at the bottom of my post, here is a look at my first project:

Supplies: December 2021 Kit, Wintertime Printables, Bright Star Journaling Tags, Grateful Chipboard Stickers, Gold Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Puffy Asterisk Stickers, Good Times Banner Stamp, Parker Outline Number Stamp, Hazel Alphabet Stamp, Warm Solids Paper Stack

It is the last page of my 2019 album (anybody else struggles with first and last pages or is it just me?) and it documents the last few days of the year, including our long road trip back home and our New Year's Eve celebration.

I went with a yellow and pink color combo, which I love right now, with touches of black. I had fun with quite a bit of stamping using the new Good Times Banner Stamp, Parker Outline Number Stamp and the oldie but goodie Hazel Alphabet Stamp set.

Here are my top three must have add-ons for this month:

1. The Puffy Asterisk Stickers: I love their unique shape and they add just the right amount of color

2. The Good Times Banner Stamp set: More asterisks (love the outline ones) and bold words are perfectly sized for pockets

3. The Gold Puffy Alphabet stickers: because you never have enough gold to document the Holiday festivities and it is look awesome with pink :)

Here's a look at the entire December release and here is my affiliate link if you'd like to shop: Elle's Studio shop. Thank you!

Thank you for stopping by during this busy time of year!

Elle's Studio November reveal | November 2020 pocket pages

Hello friends! Another month another reveal in the Elle's Studio shop. I can not believe that 2021 is almost over, seriously?! My first project with this new release is a pocket page spread:

Since I had used a large photo for the previous month, I had a big 6x8 space to fill. Instead of using another large photo, I preferred using the space to create a layout-like pocket. I went heavy on the circles because I was influenced by the A Merry Moment Stamp set and various die-cuts, but also because, judging by my recent feed on Instagram, it looks like they are making a come back.

They also happen to cut the grid lines of the pockets, adding focus on my Thanksgiving photos.
Before I share all the new goodies available today, I will mention my 3 must-have add-ons this month:
1. My number one by far is the Monthly Numbers Stamp, used four times on this spread. It is such an original way to add dates but I also love its smaller footprint.
2. The Puffy Heart and Star Stickers are perfect for adding color, dimension and texture. Love that you have a choice of solid and outline shapes.
3. The Wonder Paper stack because I am always a fan of Elle's Studio paper stack and I used a lot of this one for my projects this month. It works great for Fall and Holiday projects.
Take a look at today's new goodies and here is my affiliate link to the shop: Elle's Studio New release.

What are your three favorites?
Thank you for stopping by today!

Elle's Studio October Reveal | October Together pocket pages

Hi friends! It is reveal day at Elle's Studio today and I have created some new projects that I can now share with you using the October kit plus some fun extras. The first one is a monthly pocket spread consisting of a 6x12 side paired with a 9x12 page:

Supplies: October 2021 kit, Home Sweet Home cardstock stickers, Autumn heart & star acetate stickers, Autumn tab stamp, Sincere Sentiments Wonderful You Chipboard Banners, Cool Solids Paper Stack, Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock stickers- Light teal

I believe it is the first time I've integrated a large photo on a 9x12 page and I love the result!
The typical Fall colors don't really show up until mid November where I live but this month kit and extras are very versatile and I was able to create a color combination, mostly red and blue, that suited my photos.
If I was to choose just one extra this month it would be the Home Sweet Home cardstock stickers. It's a very complete set which include words, designs and labels, and I love the font as seen below (and above!).
If you are curious about my grid of shoes, it is something I have been meaning to document for a while. As the mother of an avid skateboarder, I am always amazed by the amount of shoes that we have to purchase each month! They get destroyed pretty quickly and there is always a pile of them in our garage. I thought it would be "artistic" to create a collage of individual pairs and maybe make a poster one day.

Before I go, here are snapshots of the new products available in the Elle's Studio shop (affiliate link) today:
Did anything caught your eye?
I will be back soon!

Guest Designing for Citrus Twist Kits: September Pocket Pages

Hello friends! I am excited to share that I am guest designing for Citrus Twist Kits this month! I was on their very first design team a while back (You can actually see all the work I did for them by clicking on the Citrus Twist category in the right column). I shared a little bit about me on their blog this weekend but I will only share my first project here.

The September release inspired me to work on my 2020 family pocket album and I found so many great elements to create a monthly "everyday life" spread.

When I am sitting down to create, I get a lot of ideas from the products themself. As soon as I received my box of goodies, I opened the "Feels Like Home" ephemera pack and I selected my favorite die-cuts that ended up being my starting points.
I loved layering them in several spots on my pages.
Because most of my photos were rather dark, I chose to use the light pink, peachy and yellow toned journaling cards from the "Everyday Life" pack and printed a sheet from the "Coming Home" Ledger digital papers (one sheet is perfect to create two 4x6 cards).
I added stitching details and enamel dots here and there for texture and typed my journaling on a manual typewriter.
If you are short on words, like I usually am, try using bullet points organized in highs and lows. They give a good snapshot of your week or month and don't require a lot of thinking!

Thank you for stopping by! I will be back soon with a second project that I am working on.

Elle's Studio February Reveal | February 9x12 Pocket page

Hello friends! It's already the 10th of February, crazy, and today is reveal day in the Elle's Studio shop. You will find a fantastic new kit and some colorful add-ons that are hard to resist (like the chipboard stickers!). Here's the first project I created with this release, a 9x12 pocket page.

Supplies: February 2021 Kit, Bright Die Cut Tabs, Happy Little Moments Chipboard Stickers, Tiny Acrylic Hearts, Good Times Tab Stamp, Noted Vol. 3 Stamp, Typewriter Alphabet stamp, XOXO 6.5x8 inch Paper Stack,

My layout centers around one of my favorite cards from the kit on which I added a bit of dimension with some chipboard stickers. For my month title, I pulled out my Typewriter Alphabet stamp (not new but a must have!) and a label from the kit.

I also enjoyed adding small details by stamping on the Bright Die Cut tabs with the Good Times tab stamp set.

If you would like to check out all the new goodies, here is an affiliate link to the shop: Elle's Studio New Arrivals or take a first look below:

My Favorites | From the Winter Issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine

Did you happen to see my other project featured in the latest issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine (Winter 2020)? You can find it here or you can download the full issue here (which i recommend doing anyways!).

It is part of an article about "Things that we love" and I used the Love Notes collection from Doodlebug Design to create a 9x12 pocket page about my current favorites.
Have you recorded your current favorites? It's important because it will help you remember some of the little things and it's a wonderful way for your family to know more about you, now or much, much later...

Pocket page: A look back at 2020 | with Elle's Studio

Hello friends! I wrote this blog post for the Elle's Studio blog and wanted to share it here as well. This new pocket page was created with their December kit and some extras (affiliate). I will also show you how I have played with their Good Cheer Printables.
Supplies: December 2020 Kit, Good Cheer Printables, Comfort and Joy Stickers, Joyful Chipboard Stickers, Stitched Stars Wood Veneer, Happiness & Cheer Stamp, My Star Stamp, Jane Alphabet Stamp

This page, which will be the last one in my family album, is a look back at this year inspired by two 2020 cards from the kit. I love how cards with journaling prompts can help you tell your story so I sat down with them and took a moment to reflect.
Next, I considered the black bold 2020 in those cards, the colors in my photos and decided to create a monochromatic page. I got the idea of switching some of the Good Cheer Printables to black and white. It was very easy using only Microsoft Word (note that you will not get the same effect if you just print your color tags to black and white).
First import the cards you have chosen into a Word document. Then, click on each one, go to the "Picture Format" tab on top, open the drop down menu of the "Color" icon and select the black and white one. That's it! And I love the result!
And what goes well with black? Stamping, of course! I combined the two new stamp sets, Happiness & Cheer Stamp and My Star Stamp, on my title tag, even stamping on selected chipboard letters from the Joyful Chipboard Sticker pack.
I don't consider myself a hybrid scrapbooker but playing with the Printables like this was fun and I love my layout so I'll probably do it again! I hope you will try this technique too.

Happy Holidays! Remember to always look on the bright side of life :)

9X12 Christmas pockets with an insert | for Elle's Studio

Hello crafty friends! I'm here to share some pocket page inspiration with the November release from Elle's Studio. I used several favorites, like the fun Acrylic Christmas Light Bulbs (sold out!) and perfect Very Merry Chipboard stickers, to document part of December 2019 in my 9x12 family album.

Supplies: November 2020 kit, Merry Printables, November labels, Autumn die cut tabs, Very Merry chipboard stickers, Merry and Bright wood veneer, December Wood Veneer, Acrylic Christmas Trees, Acrylic Christmas Light Bulbs, Holiday Baking stamp, Christmas Tabs stamp, Fa La La 6 x 8.5 Paper Stack

I added a 4x12 insert (cut from a bigger page protector) which allowed me to use the large Merry and Bright Wood veneer front and center. It looks fabulous paired with the Acrylic Christmas Light Bulbs. I repeated this great combination of acrylic and wood veneer on my title card as well.

For both pockets, I hand stitched a garland string with black embroidery thread. I love the contrasting result!
Often, while I am working with a certain color combination, I check the Printables to see if any tags match my page. In this case I found two in the Merry Printables
I relied a lot on the Very Merry Chipboard stickers to embellish my photos but I also had fun with the stamps, especially the Christmas Tabs stamp along with the packed Autumn die cut tabs. I used them together in several spots selecting just the right tab color and the right word strip amongst the multitude of choices.
How are you documenting your December this year? I feel pressured/inspired to do a December Daily but I am still undecided. I know... it is already December!
