Good luck!

Here are my projects that I created with some of MME’s line from AWDML Store:

Supplies-cardstock: Bazzill; patterned paper: My Mind's Eye (Stella & Rose-Hazel Papers 6x6 Pad); die cut: My Mind's Eye (Quite Contrary Mary Mary Happy Birthday Title), My Favorite Things Die-namics (Flower & Leaf Trio); bling: Kaisercraft Rhinestones, Stickles (Diamond); ink: Tim Holtz (Vintage Photo); tools: Cuttlebug; Tim Holtz Paper Distresser;

I made this simple but pretty Birthday card set using the new MME Stella & Rose Hazel papers. I love the colors and patterns on this stack! For the sentiment, I used one of the many title die cuts that MME has, this one is from their Quite Contrary line.

Here is another look at the card alone:

My next project is a bit more whimsy and it's the introduction page to my newborn nephew's scrapbook.

Supplies- cardstock: Bazzill; patterned paper: My Mind's Eye (Just Dreamy 2-No Girls Allowed, Paisley Power); ink: Tim Holtz (Vintage Photo); tools: Pazzles Inspiration, Tim Holtz Paper Distressor; pen: sharpie, Signo white pen; other: mulberry paper, chalk, sewing machine

For this layout I used MME's Just Dreamy 2 papers because I just love the blues, browns and oranges in this collection. I made a forest scene with a tree, leaves and even frogs. I cut all these critters using my Pazzles, paper pieced them, and then shaded them with chalk. I designed the scroll on Photoshop and then distressed the edges with Tim Holtz ink. I made a little tear bear, fluffed him up and sat him by the scroll. I finished it off by adding two photomats that I machine stitched around the edges.

Here are a few close ups of the layout:

My last layout is actually a step by step so you can actually duplicate it if you want!

Here is the finished layout:

Supplies-
cardstock: Bazzill;
patterned paper: My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found Union Square Perfect Damask),
My Mind's Eye (Hazel 6x6 Paper Pads);
letter stickers: Basic Grey Basics (Cream);
chipboard: My Mind's Eye (Lush Brown Chipboard Alphabet);
flowers: Recollections, Prima (Sugar Plum Roses Cinnamon), Zva Creative (3" Frosty Flowers Chestnut & Scarlet);
ribbon: Webster's Pages Fabric Bloomers Green;
ink: Tim Holtz (Vintage Photo);
bling: Zva Creative Flourish, Kaiser Crafts Rhinestone Swirl Brown;
tools: Cuttlebug, Martha Stewart Around the page Punch
Double Loop, Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly Punch, Tim Holtz Paper Distresser;

So now that you have seen the finished layout and the supplies list, let's start:

Step 1. Cut a 7" piece from the double sided MME paper (2" from the top and 3" from the bottom). Flip over to show the other side of the double sided paper and distress the edges.

Step 2.
Punch out two 12" borders using your favorite punch (I used Martha Stewart Double Loop punch). Layer them between the two sheets of paper. Glue everything down on another cardstock for support and sew along the edges of the middle piece of paper.

Step 3.
Pull out two 6x6 sheets from the MME Stella & Rose Hazel paper stack. Distress and ink all the edges but the top on.

Step 4.
Using a shaped die cut paper, trace the bottom part unto a brown cardstock. Cut it out.

Step 5.
Assemble your background like so. Don't worry about being able to see the line where the two 6x6 papers meet or the little hole. We will cover this up in a few steps. :)

Step 6.
Print out 2 vertical pictures and either mat them in white or you can do what I did and print them out with a white border. This saves paper!

Step 7.
Gather your embellies for your layout. I'm using a few brown flowers, a Zva bling flourish, Websters bloomers, a few die cut leaves and a handmade butterfly.

Step 8. Add your photos to your background paper at an angle. Then arrange the flowers, leaves and bloomers to your liking. Finally, add your Zva bling so that the bling covers up the line where the two 6x6 papers meet. Continue to add your butterfly and then your title int he lower right hand side.

Here are a few close ups of my finished layout:

I hope that you have enjoyed the Step by Step. Now, hop on to Lisa's blog to see her projects featuring My Mind's Eye products!

Don't forget to leave me a comment for a chance to win and if you like, follow my blog too!

monday...AWDML April 1st Reveal-Fancy Pants Design (1)

Happy Monday bloggers! Can you believe that it's May already? I certainly can't! SO much is going on with my hubby and my life together right now and it's exiting and overwhelming at the same time.

Next weekend we are going apartment hunting in Kissimmee, FL, about 4 hours from where we live. We are moving because he got a job offer there. We are really exited about the change but it's scary too since we have always lived in Miami our whole lives. We are definitely looking for a change though.

Ok, back to the original post. Since today is the beginning on May, this means reveal day for AWDML! This month's featured manufacturer are Fancy Pants Design and Fiskars. As always, I'll share my projects with you using the first manufacturer and on the 15th, I'll share my projects using the second manufacturer. This month though, I decided to do things differently. I'll feature only 1-2 projects per week per manufacturer.

Supplies-cardstock: Bazzill Basics; patterned paper: Fancy Pants, Paper Adventures; ribbon: Fancy Pants; chipboard: Thickers; letter stickers: Basic Grey; punch: Martha Stewart; buttons: Fancy Pants; ink: Tim Holtz; tools: Cuttlebug; other: 3D paint,

I had so much fun working on his double pager! It's a birthday themed double layout for my sister in law's baby album that I'm working on right now. My first nephew will be born in less than 2 months!

Here is a close up of the left page:

I wanted to make this birthday page boyish and happy so I chose Fancy Pants It's Your Day Paper. I also used the collection's ribbon to match it to the paper. The buttons are also by Fancy Pants but from a different collection.

Photobucket

I made a little tear bear holding a present and another one peeking from behind a photo mat. They are both wearing party hats. I also made a yummy looking chocolate cake complete with icing!

I added a paper pieced elephant on top who is holding a bunch of balloons. I added little animals throughout the layout. I used my Cuttlebug to cut these.

I also added stars in different colors and embossed and pop dotted some to give them dimension. I finished off by adding sewn buttons to the stars and two large tags behind the main photo mat.

I loved working with the Fancy Pants paper since the paper weight is great for distressing (this is very important for me!) and the design s are amazing! This particular paper that I worked with had this adorable little panda and I knew front he moment I saw him that I wanted to include him in the design.

I cut out the second one from the opposite page and pop dotted him on top of the one on the right to give him direction and for him to look like he was on top of the photo mat. Doesn't he look adorable there?

Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you can come back to check out the rest of my projects using Fancy Pants!

monday...

Happy Labor Day Bloggers!

First of all, I want to thank you for stopping by my blog! I have exiting news to share with you today. I'm starting to sell pre-made scrapbook pages on eBay again as well as paper piecings and tear bears. I already have one double layout listed on eBay right now. Below are the details. Click on this link to go and check it out!

Here are both pages side by side. It can be used for either a boy or a girl or both! It will work well for fall pictures of your little one playing on the leaves, or picking pumpkins at a patch. This layout features four of my little tear bears, two boys and two girls all dressed in fall colored clothes. I also drew and hand cut all the vines, leaves and pumpkins. Of course, that big tree uniting the two pages is also handcut, drawn and pieced by me. There are four visible spots for pictures. You can either use a 4x6 picture of you can crop it to 4x4 and will still look fine! All the flowers are attached to double sided tags. One side has pretty pattern paper that you can use to add smaller pictures or a quick note and the other side has lines for you to journal all those special memories. The background is machine stitched for support and embellishment as well as the photo mats.

Don't forget to check here regularly since I will start posting teaser pictures of the layouts and piecings that I will be listing! Thanks for stopping by!

My latest layout for sale

Here it is! It's a fairies themed double layout done in purple and green. I handmade the three fairies, large tree, butterflies, and mushrooms. I machine stitched the background and the photomats. I used glitter to accent the butterflies and the fairies wings. I also use a lot of flowers and gave the different rhinestone centers. The listing starts on Sunday, March 29 at 8:30 PM EST and ends on April 7, at 8:30 PM EST. Here's a link to the auction.
