saturday...Pink and Blue Feminine Card

Welcome back everyone! Today I want to share a card and a quick tip with you!

Does this picture look familiar to you? This is my table after I finished working with my Sunkissed Garden Kit from The International Scrapbook Garden! I had a lot of fun working with it! Instead of cleaning up and putting things away, I always finish by putting together a card or two to keep in my stash! It makes the cleaning up process a little bit more fun and challenging!
(PS. Can you spot the embellishments I used on my card?) :)

I have lots of birthdays coming up in the next 3 months so I made a girly blank card using my scraps! It measures 4 1/8" x 6" and I used one of the ephemera cards for the front.

I stamped the large rose twice from the Embellishment Bonus Kit and water-colored it with Lindy’s Flat Fabio Hibiscus Rose included in the main kit. Don't they look amazing? I also used a few fussy cut feathers and real feathers from the Embellishment Bonus Kit to balance it out.

sunday...Annelie Project Life Album-Wk 4

I'm here today sharing a Project Life style layout I made using the Sunkissed Garden Kit from The International Scrapbook Garden! This kit includes so many ephemera cards in gorgeous colors that I just *had* to make this layout!

Of course, this layout is for my new baby girl's album! I've been taking a photo a day and writing a little bit about her or her day each day since she was born and will do so for her first year of life. Little by little I'm getting her pages (one week each layout) done and hopefully I'll be done by the time she turns 18! LOL
This is week 4 in her album and she is 35 weeks old today.

As I said before, I used the 6"x4" and 3"x4" ephemera cards included in the main kit for this layout. In fact, most of this layout was made with the main kit and only a few things from my stash!

I made the sweet flowers using Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose Die and swirly leaves are done using the Heartfelt Creations Tropical Paradise Die. For the leaves I die cut them from white cardstock and then painted them with the 13@rts Ayeeda Paint Turquoise from the Mixed Media Bonus Kit.

I used the fussy cut butterflies throughout the whole layout to tie it all in together!

I also did a lot of fussy cutting for this one and used the fussy cut roses to tie in all the individual cards together. I also used the gorgeous turquoise lace ribbon on this particular card. Isn't it gorgeous!?

Here's another close up of my layout. It has a lot of layers but I kept the dimension to a minimum because somehow I have to fit in 52 weeks on one or two albums for my baby girl's first year of life and it can't be too bulky.

All of my cards have a little bit of journaling, either in the front or in the back for either privacy or more space to write in. You can see a few flipped cards in this picture with journaling in the back.

monday...You Are My Sunshine Layout

Hi everyone! I'm back again sharing another layout I made using the Sunkissed Garden Kit from The International Scrapbook Garden! This time, I used the yellows for my layout since it matched both of my kids' outfits!

Most of the products used on this layout are from the main kit, including the chipboard title, background pattern paper and most flowers.

For the chipboard title, I painted it white and added crackle paint, from my stash, and used the Lindy's Magical Shaker Yodeling Yellow from the Mixed Media Kit together with the 13@rts Plastic Microspheres to add texture to the sun. I just love how it turned out! The pink ribbon is from the Embellishment Bonus Kit.

The yellow flowers are included in the main kit as well as sone of the white ones. I made some yellow flowers using the Foamiran in the Embellishment Bonus Kit. It was my first time working with Foamiran and I have to say, that I love it! I loved it so much that I decided to make a quick flower tutorial for you!

Here's a quick tutorial on how to make the foamiran yellow flowers.

You will need:
yellow foamiran from the Garden Embellishment Bonus Kit
flower diecut of your choice (mine is from Heartfelt Creations-HCD1-7110 Classic Rose Die)
heating tool
embossing tool
green ink (optional)

Step 1. Die cut 3x your flowers. I'm only using the small diecut flowers for this tutorial.

Step 2. Heat it up til the petals start to curl up.

Step 3. Twist the petals between your fingers to look like the left side petals in my picture. Open them up with your fingers gently (the right side of my picture).

Step 4. Gently, spread the over an embossing tool using your fingers like so. Be careful you do not break the petals!

Step 5. Cut a strip of the foamiran to 3/4"x6" and cut tiny strips into in but don't go all the way through.

Step 6. Ink them if you prefer (I used green ink for mine) and curl them like so to form the stamen. Add glue to secure it. Heat it up and twist the stamen like you did for the petals (not pictured).

Step 7. Layer the three flowers without overlapping the petals and add the stamen to the petals to finish your flower.

Here are a few I made using the same die. The one on the left is made using only 3 larger die cut flowers, the smaller one is using the 3 smaller flowers from this tutorial and the top right is using the 3 small and 3 large flowers all together! The one on the left has been colored with Lindy's Magical Shaker Yodeling Yellow.

thursday...Live, Love, Laugh Layout

Hi everyone! I'm here sharing another layout I made using the Sunkissed Garden Kit from The International Scrapbook Garden! I'm guest designing for them this month! It simply gorgeous and so versatile!

I used the blues/teals from the main kit and used just a pop of the fuchsia to make this frilly layout of my baby girl. I fussy cut the title from an ephemera card and used the pearls around the clusters along with the splatters to achieve this look.

I tucked an ephemera card and the buttons packaging card under my picture after I distressed them. I also used the two small doilies and the flowers from the main kit for this layout. I also used the teal paint in the Mixed Media Bonus Kit and the butterfly stamp in the Embellishment Bonus Kit to make these gorgeous butterflies! I also used the clocks on the same stamp set to make two clocks for my larger cluster shown below.

I fussy cut and die cut the roses into border and tucked under the photo. I also fussy cut a bunch of feathers as well as used the real feathers in the Embellishment Bonus Kit. I added some splatters the background by using the Lindy's Spray

friday... Me and You layout

Hi everyone! I'm here sharing my very first layout using the Sunkissed Garden Kit from The International Scrapbook Garden! I'm so very excited to be guest designing this month!

The main kit is simply jammed packed with gorgeous Lemoncraft papers and matching embellies that will surely make your pages stand out! This is my first time working with Lemoncraft and I have to say, that I'm in LOVE with their papers!

Here's my first layout:
I made this layout using one of my favorite pictures of my baby girl and I. The background paper is from the Bonus Paper and the definition stamps, doilies, fussy cut flowers and butterflies are from the Embellishment Bonus Kit. I just love how everything goes together so beautifully!

I used the flowers from the Extra Blossom Kit for this layout and used the Lindy's Spray to create splatters on the background.

You can create a lot of dimension by just adding fussy cut layers to your layout!

Here's one last look at the layout to show the dimension! I just love how that blue Lemoncraft Daydream Ephemera Card pops against the pink background! It also makes the perfect title for my layout!
