Happy Thursday! Today is a special day since it's my husband's 30th Birthday! I love you bebe! Hope you have the best birthday ever!!!
Today I'd like to share with you my Anatomy of a Layout page that I made using the Swirlydoos November Main Kit Only.
Step 1. Cut out a 8" circle and a 7"x5" rectangle from these two pattern papers included in the kit.
Step 2. Distress them using a Tim Holtz paper distresser and Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink. Machine stitch (or hand stitch) around the circle.
Step 3. This is the handmade part of the layout. Cut two 6" long pieces of red cord and make two loops. Tie a knot at the end to make them stay. Trim a 5" long piece of wired ribbon and make a few folds to it.
Step 4. Adhere the circle to the background a bit off centered and mat the photo on the other lighter distressed paper and add over the circle.
Step 5. Add two smaller photos right under the main 6"x4" photo. Lightly ink the edges of the two sticker corners and tuck them in under the top side of the photo. Tuck in the green ribbon under the right side of the photo as shown.
Step 6. Add your flowers and leaves around the photos.
Step 7. Now, tuck in the two red double-looped cord into the flower cluster as well as a few wooden Prima flower and leaves.
Step 8. Add the remaining stickers (bird and butterflies) after lightly inking the edges. Also, fuzzy cut the sentiment from the 4"x3" journaling card and add over the right side of the photo.
Step 9. Add pearls to the butterflies' center and sentiment. Also, add stickles to highlight your butterflies and bird. Finally, add a sweet journaling right under the small photos.
This layout is based on the sketch for this month:
About this layout: The white Maltese, her name is Princess, is my mom's dog. She got pregnant last year and we had 4 little surprises, all different colors! I decided to bring her home with me from my mom's because she couldn't take care of the pups and inevitable, my hubby and I fell in love with one (the one nursing in the main picture). These pictures were taken when the pups were 5 weeks old and it was the first time that we took them outside. At first, they were hesitant but soon they started running and playing with each other!
Here are some close ups:

Hubby and I will be going on a cruise in just 1.5 weeks so I'm definitely in beach/relaxation mode already and I'm sure that this beachy 7"x5" card shows it!
I actually colored my image with Crayola Coloring Pencils. I wanted to show you that you do not need any fancy coloring pencils/markers to produce beautiful colored images! I used OMS to blend them together.
I made two gorgeous blooms using the tattered florals stamps/dies. I also die cut and stamped an anchor and added a green bow to it.
I wanted this card to be THICK so I packed on the layers! You can see the dimension that I achieved in this close up.
Here is the step by step write-up for this project:

Cut a piece of white cardstock to 7”x10” and fold in
half. Trim 3 different pieces of pattern paper to 7”x5”, 6.75”x4.75”, and
6.5”x4.5” and distress the smallest two layers with the Zutter Distrezz-it All
tool. Ink all edges with Vintage Photo distress ink. Layer the two smallest
layers on top of the other and machine stitch these two layers together. Add
these two layers over the third pattern paper and adhere over the card base.
Add a piece of 1.5”x7” burlap across the center of the card. Die cut and emboss
the largest die from the labels 18 set and pop dot it over the center of the
card. Die cut two Decorative Lattice Swirls Die in white and emboss them. Layer
them over the brown die cut shape as shown. Stamp and color the lounge chair
and die cut/emboss with the fourth smallest Shapeabilities Standard Circle die.
Ink the edges and pop dot the image over the lattices. Stamp the sentiment and
snip of a V shape at the end of the left side. Tuck in under the left side of
the image. To make the flowers, stamp two of the second smallest and one of the
smallest tattered flowers and die cut them. Shape the flowers and layer them
and add a pearl to their center to form a full bloom as shown. Stamp and die
cut a few leaves from the Botanical Floral 2 PreCut Set. Add the flowers and
leaves to the right side of the image. Stamp and die cut an anchor out of a
darker pattern paper and a thicker chipboard material. Layer these two pieces
together and ink the edges. Make a double loop bow and add to the anchor. Add
anchor to the bottom right side of the card.

wednesday... Heartfelt Creations
Happy Wednesday everyone! Today I have a soft and pretty layout to share with you that I made for Heartfelt Creations! I used my February sketch for ScrapThat! Kit for this layout.
(Everyone is welcome to participate, all entries due by February 20th)
HCPC 3438 Carnation Florals 2 PreCut Set
HCPC 3480 Brookside Manor PreCut Set
HCPC 3494 Delicate Asters PreCut Set
HCPC 3496 Delicate Twining Asters PreCut Set
HCD 712 Bella Rose Die
HCD 713 Decorative Lace Border Die
HCD 723 Garden Romance Die
HCD 726 Delicate Asters Die
HCDP1 226 Delicate Asters Paper Collection
452255 Grand Calibur
472185 Carnation Creations Shapeabilities
I wanted to make a soft and feminine layout using the paper pack from the September Release-The Delicate Asters Collection (and paper pack). I distressed all the edges to give it a vintage feel to it and I also machine stitched all the layers.
I created a small cluster around the peek a boo area. I kept the color palette to green, light and dark purple and cream.
I made a bunch of carnation-like flowers for my clusters. Of course, I also added a bunch of leaves and greenery for my cluster.
Another view of the layers and lace trim border.
I stamped my title/sentiment on top of the photo and added some sweet light purple blooms around the photo.
Finally, I made some soft cream colored asters for the cluster. I thought it gave a nice contrast to all the purple in the layout.

Here is the step by step write-up for this project:
Distress
the edges of the green pattern paper with the Distrezz-it-all tool. Make a tear in the top left side to create
peek-a-boo area. Adhere the green
pattern paper unto a light purple pattern paper and tuck in a darker purple
strip of paper under the peek a boo area after distressing it the same way you
did for the background. Machine stitch around the edges twice. Cut two 4.25”x6”
pieces of the same pattern paper. Distress the edges and flip one over to use
the reverse side. Trip yet another piece of pattern paper to 8”x5” and distress
the edges as well. Machine stitch each of these three layers of paper individually
and adhere to the background as shown. Punch out a border using the Martha
Stewart Wild Flowers Punch. Crinkle it a bit with your fingers and adhere
toward the bottom of the layout. Die cut the Decorative Lace Border Die in
black and cut it up to use only the top part. Add over the punched strip of
paper. Add your 4”x6” photograph over the bottom center of the layout as shown.
Stamp the title over the top of the photo with black archival ink. Stamp and
die cut a Bella Rose Leaves PreCut Set. Also stamp and die cut a few of the Delicate
Asters Precut Set leaves. To make the flowers, stamp and die cut two of each
size of the Delicate Asters Precut Set. Shape them with a stylus and layer them
staggering the petals. Add a pearl as the center and put aside. For the purple
flowers, stamp and die cut two of each side of the Carnation Florals 2 PreCut
Set. Crinkle each layer using your fingers. Just like before, layer the
individual flowers over each other, two of each size, staggering the petals.
Add a pearl as the centers for these as well. Adhere the flowers and leaves in
a cluster on the bottom right corner of the photo as shown. Also, add some
flowers and leaves to the peek a boo area on the top left side. Add three small
flowers to the left side of the photo. Stamp and die cut a few butterflies from
the Brookside Manor PreCut Set. Add pearls as their centers and scatter randomly
on the layout. To finish it off, randomly add tiny liquid pearl drops around
the clusters and on the black border. This design is based off my February
sketch for ScrapThat! Kit.

wednesday... Heartfelt Creations
Happy Wednesday everyone! I'm here to share with you two cards that I made for Heartfelt Creations. They each measure 6"x6" and are kind of a matching set using HC's latest Collection-"Countryside Evening"!
HCPC 3510 Petite Floral Swirls PreCut Set
HCPC 3511 Melodious Songbird PreCut Set
HCPC 3512 Antique Lantern PreCut Set
HCD 722 Tattered Blossoms Die
HCD 720 Western Broncos Die
HCDP1 229 Countryside Evening Paper Collection
253740 Asian Accents
354806 Standard Circle Large
452255 Grand Calibur
As stated before, each card measures 6"x6". I folded a 12"x12 sheet of cardstock and cut in half to get two 6"x6" card bases. i then trimmed the blue pattern paper to 6"x12" and cut in half again to get 6"x6". I then ran both pieces though the Distrezz-it-all, machine stitched the sides and adhered them to the background cards base. I used the same design for both cards and only varied the image and sentiment.
Here's a better look at the first card. I stamped and colored the bird image and die cut/embossed it with a Spellbinders circle die. I did the same with the sentiment and matted that one on a Spellbinders doily. I hadnamde the flower by using two of each different size flowers. I added dew drops as the flower centers.
Here's a close up of this card.
I followed the same steps to make the second card but used the lantern image and corresponding sentiment.
Here's a close up of this card.
Of course, no card is complete without a little something on the inside! I stamped another corresponding sentiment on the inside and a small swirl on the bottom right side.
I haven't done a card sketch in a while so I thought that I'd do one for you! Here's the brand new sketch that I used for these cards:
Here is the step by step write-up for this project:
Fold a 12”x12” sheet of white textured cardstock in half and cut that in half. These will be your 6”x6” card bases. On the inside, stamp the flourish from the Petite Floral Swirls PreCut Set on the right bottom side of the cardstock and the sentiment in the upper area of the base. Take a 12”x12” sheet of pattern paper from the Countryside Evening Paper Collection and cut it at the 6” mark. Cut that in half again to get two 6”x6” pieces. Run these pieces through the Zutter Distrezz-it-all tool to distress the edges. Machine stitch around the edges each of these two papers. Adhere each pattern paper on a white card base. Make a ribbon with the border from the Asian Accents by die cutting two pieces and adhering them together. Adhere this paper ribbon through the center of the card base and over the pattern paper. Cut a 2”6” piece of brown pattern paper and cut a V at the end. Adhere it over the left side of the card as shown. Stamp the lantern and bird images on light cream cardstock and color the images using Prismacolor Pencils. Die cut and emboss the images using the largest circle from the Shapeabilities Standard Circle Large. Lightly ink the edges of the stamped image with the die still attached to the cardstock to give it an antique feel. Do this with both images. Adhere the large stamped circles over the brown piece of pattern paper and white paper ribbon. Stamp the coordinating sentiment on cream colored cardstock as well and die cut and emboss using the third smallest circle from the Shapeabilities set. Die cut and emboss the small doily from the Asian Accents Set and adhere the small sentiment die cut circle over it. Adhere this sentiment over the bottom right side fo the image. For the flower, stamp two of the second largest and second smallest tattered blossom. You will need two of each size per flower. Die cut these flowers and shape them with a stylus. Layer them as shown and make a dew drop flower center for each one of them. Die cut a leaf bunch from the Western Broncos Die and adhere the leaves and flowers to the top right corner of each of the cards. Finish each card by adding tiny liquid pearl drops to the stamped images’ flower centers, brown pattern paper and white doily as shown.

Happy Wednesday! I'm here to share with you another layout that I made for Heartfelt Creations using their newest release, "Countryside Evening"!

This was a very fun layout to work on! I distressed to my heart's content! :)
I recently purchased the Zutter Distrezz it all tool and I have to say that I LOVE it! Of course, i put it to good use on this layout!
This is what the background looked like by the time I was done. I felt a little bad covering it up but then again, this is a scrapbook page therefore we are supposed to preserve memories and pictures, not our backgrounds! So, I finished my layout using my brother's ring ceremony pictures and kept the layout a bit more simple and masculine.
I added this sweet little bird and saying as my title because it was very fitting for these pictures. I made a few posies and added them randomly to the die cut title area to give it more interest and color.
Of course, I had to add flowers even in a masculine layout! I made these blue/brown flowers and added dewdrops flower centers in neutral colors. Here's a quick tutorial for the flower centers.
Here's a close up of the flower center and a flower that I made. Aren't these so adorable?
Finally, I finished the layout by adding some rhinestones in bright blue to liven this page up!
Here is the step by step write-up for this project:

Distress a
12”x12” pattern paper from the Countryside Evening Paper
Collection. Randomly make tears on all the four sides. Distress with the Zutter
Distrezz it all tool and ink the edges with the Tim Holtz Blending tool and Vintage Photo distress ink.
Tuck in a dark blue pattern paper under the ripped areas and mat the whole
thing on another sheet of pattern paper. Stamp the flourishes from the Petite
Floral Swirls PreCut Set as shown: the large one on the top left corner, the
medium one in the bottom right side and the small one closer to the left side.
Stamp this one twice. Stamp the burlap background stamp twice side by side in
the middle of the layout with Vintage Photo distress ink. Cut a strip of blue
and brown paper, 0.75 and 1.50” thick respectively, and cut out a V from each
tip. Adhere over the stamped burlap image as shown. Adhere two 3”x4” photos
over the strips and stamped image. On a separate paper, stamp the bird image
from the Melodious Songbird PreCut Set in brown. Die cut and emboss the image
with the largest die from the Shapeabilities labels 18. Stamp the sentiment
over it and ink the edges. Add this piece over the left bottom corner of the
picture. For the cluster, stamp two flowers per size of the tattered floral
set. Shape your individual dies and layer them to make a full flower. Die cut a
few leaves from the Western Broncos Die and the Rose Creations
Shapeabilities. Stamp the corresponding leaves. Adhere flowers and leaves to
the layout as shown. Stamp and die cut a few posies and add to layout. For the
centers, add dew drops to the smaller flowers. For the larger ones, follow this
simple TUTORIAL to make the centers. Finally, add blue rhinestones to the pictures as shown.

For the flowers, I stamped, die cut, and glimmer misted the Malabar flowers. I added pearls as their centers and used the green leaves from the Western Broncos Die as fillers. I also added some glitter to the flowers and the butterflies that I randomly placed on the layout.
Another look at my flower cluster.
I made another doily with the corner die. I also used the fence stamp in this one because it was very fitting. I stamped the sentiment directly unto the photo with archival ink.

I took this picture at The Holyland Experience here in Orlando,FL a few years back. If you have never been to it, I strongly recommend it!
For the flowers, I stamped, die cut, and glimmer misted the Malabar flowers. I added pearls as their centers and used the green leaves from the Western Broncos Die as fillers. I also added some glitter to the flowers and the butterflies that I randomly placed on the layout.

Here is the step by step write-up for this project:
Trim 1/4”
off two sides of the background pattern paper. Use the Distress it all tool to
distress the edges. Ink the edges with the Tim Holtz blending tool and Vintage
Photo distress ink. Adhere to another background pattern paper and machine
stitch all around the edge. Fold a 7”x3.5” white cardstock in half and run the
smallest die from the Decorative Blossom Corner
Set through the Grand Calibur machine. You might need to run it a few times to
get it to cut both sheets of paper at the same time. When everything has been
cut, unfold the cardstock and adhere the doily over the center of the layout. Trim a 1”x11” strip of paper and
adhere over the bottom 1/3 area of the center of the layout. Trim another piece
and punch edge with Martha Stewart punch. Adhere over first piece. Choose a
picture that has plenty of white space. Print it out and stamp the sentiment
directly right on the top right corner of the picture. Add picture over the doily and strips of
papers. Stamp and color using Prismacolor pencils and blend using OMS the fence
from the Floral Fence Precut Set. Fuzzy cut it and add to right side of the
picture. For the cluster, stamp and die cut different size flower. You will
need two of the same size for the larger blooms but only one for the smaller
ones. Mist them with blue glimmer mist to add color and add Prima flower
centers to the larger flowers and Recollections pearls to the smaller ones. Die
cut a few greeneries from the Western Broncos Die and form the cluster under
the photo using the leaves and flowers. Stamp, die cut and color with
Prismacolors a few butterflies from the Brookside Manor PreCut Set. Add randomly
to layout. Finally, stamp and die cut one dove from the same collection and ad
it to the left side of the picture.

Of course, every time I receive a new collection I have to make a wedding layout with it and this is what i came up with! I absolutely love this picture and thought the sentiment was perfect for it!
Here's a side view to see all the layers and depth in this layout. I LOVE how much depth you can get with the flowers alone!
This collection includes a lot of weathered and antique-looking images and this little fence was the perfect image for this corner.
Of course, I made a bunch of distress-looking flowers with the Vintage Floret Collection and complimented them with some tiny blue posies.
Here's a better view at the stamped sentiment/title area.
This collection comes with two corner dies which are perfect for making circles and semi-circle doilies. Come back next week and I'll show you how with a visual step by step!
Better close up of the sentiment area.
Here is the step by step write-up for this project:
Trim the back side of the journaling box pattern paper to 6”x10.5” and adhere over a 8”x9.5” brown pattern paper. Punch four borders out of white cardstock using the Martha Stewart Vintage Flowers punch and tuck in under the edges of each sides. Adhere these two layers over a cream colored pattern paper. Add a 5”x7” picture over the center of the layout. Fold a 7”x3.5” white cardstock in half and run the smallest die from the Decorative Blossom Corner Set through the Grand Calibur machine. You might need to run it a few times to get it to cut both sheets of paper at the same time. When everything has been cut, unfold the cardstock and tuck in the half doily under the picture to the right side. Stamp the sentiment from the Floral Fence Precut Set and die cut using the Shapeabilities Classic Oval Lg. Emboss and lightly ink the edges before removing the die. Pop dot the oval sentiment and add over the picture and doily. Stamp and color using Prismacolor pencils and blend using OMS the fence from the Floral Fence Precut Set. Fuzzy cut it and add to left side of the picture. For the cluster, stamp and die cut two of the same size flower dies per bloom plus a significantly smaller one for the center. Shape each petal using an embossing tool and layer a small die inside two larger ones. Randomly ink the edges using Tim Holtz blending tool and Vintage Photo distress ink. Add gala glitz as the center for each flower. Make a few small posies out of white cardstock and color them with the Prismacolor Pencils to match the flowers in the fence. Stamp and die cut leaves from the Leaf Medley PreCut Set and Botanical Floral 2 PreCut Set in different shades of green. Use the flowers and leaves to form the cluster under and to the left of the picture. Add a flower and some leaves under the sentiment as well.
