Simon Says ...

A quickie post from me today ... I know ... I know I am a terrible blogger ... I have no clue where the time goes ...
Talking of time ... clever link huh???
Who said "No!"
My project for the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge this week is a archy wood thingy covered in Metal and decorated with lots of Lord Tim of Holtz goodness! You know Tim ... the man that daily polishes the moon while organising the stars with just a pair of Tonic Studio Scissors and a long legged brad!
The theme of the challenge is Anything Goes ... which is great ... it means if you make anything at all ... and I mean anything ... you can share it here and be in with a chance of winning a $50 Shopping Spree at Simon Says Stamp! What are you waiting for?
I told you it would be a quickie post ... I have gossip ... really really exciting gossip ... life changingly exciting gossip ... which I am not allowed to share just yet and if I stay here any longer ... well ... it might just slip out ...
Have a good week people ...

Simon Says ...

I know ... I know ... I only ever appear here on a Monday just lately ... so I am probably just talking to myself right now ... sorry!!!
This week there is sadness over at Simon Says Stamp and Show! After nearly a year of challenges and a lot of hardwork and inspiration from Lori; Nancy and Kim we are saying goodbye to them. They are all moving on to spend more time on other things and I am going to miss them very much!
Not all bad news though ... this also means we have a Design Team call for some new members ... so if you fancy it ... hot foot it over to the blog to see all the details!
There is of course a new theme for those of you that just want to carry on playing along this week and the theme is Embossing. Once again Simon Says Stamp have donated a $50 shopping spree ... handed out randomly ... you gotta be innit to winnit!
I have to put my hands up and admit I made this piece some time ago and picked the theme to coincide with the canvas ... not the other way around! The truth is I knew I would probably have a lot on this weekend and in my defence ... only a sneaky peek of the project has been shown on the blog before!
I have used my much loved Lord Tim of Holtz birdcage die ... you know Tim ... the man that can float like a butterfly while stinging like a bee with just a teensy bit of black enamel accents and a jump ring. I also LOVE the way that THE Wendy Vecchi's leaf stamp looks cut of out Ten Second Studio metal.
Right ... I must away ... I have a whole three pages of to do list ... I may be some time ... but I do promise to put in an appearance before next Monday of anyone is still looking in!

Art Squared!

100_5442(1) I had a lovely day yesterday doing the wonderful Lin Brown’s “Up My Street” workshop … a great project and lots of fun! After a quick clean up we had our fish and chip supper … more of a sausage and chip supper really before moving on to the ArtsyCrafts samples. Oh My goodness … I came away … having learned something new and very exciting … so inspired …

Anyways … I obviously cannot tell you anything more on the subject … because before I had even pushed the publish post button … the ArtsyCrafts security police would be after me … and being a bit of a woos … never had a fight in my life … well … enough said!

So … I thought I would make the effort with my camera and take some better pictures of my Art Squared Workshop. A 12X12 Canvas art board … spritzed and sprayed with Ranger Colour washes … and then sta100_5441(1)mped to within an inch of it’s life with PaperArtsy Stamps … embossed with powders … embellished with TSS metal … it is a triple layered affair to give the impression of floating sections. I am still not sure I have done the best job of the photos … but I really tried!

This is probably a good time for me to say … If you like the sound of any of that … there are indeed places left on the workshop on the 3rd June at LB Crafts in Olney … you just need to ring the wonderful Lin or the lovely Karen on 01234714848 and they will book you in.

How many of you are surprised that we are still here this morning??? According to Harold Egbert Camping, 89-year-old founder of Family Radio, a Christian broadcasting network heard in 61 languages around the globe … the world was expected to end at 6pm Saturday evening. That was indeed 2am GMT so it was a bit of a relief waking up this morning for100_5443(1) Mrs Harold … I bet!

I am knee high in Ranger Products today … beavering away with lots of The Wendy Vecchi stamps and Lord Tim of Holtz product. You know Tim … the man that probably anonymously saved the world on May 21 while Pilot Whale whispering in a loch in Scotland with just an acrylic block and a jet black archival re-inker.

So … What you up to? What sort of week do you have planned? Not much in the way of excitement planned for me … I am working myself up to sorting out my craft room … yes I know I said that months ago … but this time I really mean it … I think!

Right … that’s me then … have a good time whatever you are doing …

Simon Says!

SSSb0703Goodness Gracious Me! I thought last week went fast ... this week seems to have gone even quicker!

I have had a busy time teaching workshops over the weekend ... three in two days to be precise ... sooooo much fun ... so excuse me while I wave to all my lovely ladies and Baby G ...

I have had the RSPBN ... chasing me ... not heard of them? Neither had I until they raided the house in the early hours! They are apparently The Royal Society for the Prevention of Blog Neglect! Oh yes people ... Guilty as charged.SSSa0703

I am going to get my act together this week though ... make a real effort to blog regularly once more ...

Anyways ... Mondays mean ... Simon Says ... and this week over at the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge blog ... the theme is Metal. So I got my grubby little hands on this little Papier Mache book blank and gave it a new metal jacket which was totally inspired by one that sits in the work shop created by the wonderful Lin Brown! I also had a play with THE Wendy Vecchi's new Art Parts ... Oh my  goodness ... I am in LOVE ... even more than I was before!

Do join in this week if you get time ... see what I did there? ... huh? ... did you? Time? Geddit? ... because the fabulous site sponsor, Simon Says Stamp is once again giving away a $50 Gift Voucher and that means $50 of stash entirely of your own choosingSSS0703!

The eagle eyed among you will have spotted the clock which is indeed a Lord Tim of Holtz stamp ... you know Tim ... the man that can name the entire Solar System and then name the Solar Systems of those Solar Systems without taking a breath while calming the world's oceans with just a copper coloured brad and one piece of Idea-ology foliage!

I must away ... I have more Art Parts to play with ...

Nicely Browned!

Demo12607

Don't panic! I have n't been anywhere near the kitchen again! No! Friday was hopefully my only cooking exploit this decade and now I am back to much more enjoyable past times ... like ...erm ... making a mess really!

During my class yesterday I found a few minutes to play ... I say few ... there was more than a few but not quite as many as several so I chose not to exaggerate on this occasion ... and you all know how I like to exaggerate ... so this should make for a nice surprise.

Basically I took my demo canvas and my demo rose and I made this ... it is on a much smaller scale than the 8" X 8" the ladies used in the class (5" X 5" I think!) but I quite like it's smallness! I find myself rather surprised that smallness is actually a word at this point!Demo22607

The rose is painted with Kaiser Mocha acrylic ... the metal is TSS Hot Chocolate and the canvas is painted with Kaiser Raw Umber. I then used some Gold Metallic Alcohol inks on the metal square and generously spritzed anything and everything in sight with Crafty Notions Antique Gold and Tattered Angels Walnut Gold!!! Great fun!

I added Lord Tim of Holtz's fab corners on my return home ... it needed something and I just love those corners ... you know Tim ... the man that can build an Olympic stadium in his coffee break while qualifying for the 100 metres with just a reel of tissue tape and a smoosh of Ranger Jet Black Archival ink! Ya see ... now I am surprised that smoosh is n't a word and neither is spritzed ... but smallness is!!!

Well that is me for today ... I am constructing something else as we speak ...

Grunge and Glimmer!

Class2607

Just look at my lovely ladies ... beavering away at their projects in the workshop today ... even I got time to play too! So from back to front ... meet Viv and Sue ... Liz and Mel ... Halina and Alex ... Kiri and Chris! They all took part in my Grunge and Glimmer workshop at LB Crafts and what a wonderful array of colours we had too. I can't believe this was last but one class of the second season this year ... and I am now planning my third lot!!! Class12607 Oh yes ... the wonderful Lin has n't tired of me yet ... so I get to go back again :0) Hopefully the next session of classes will be ready towards the end of Augustish ... well that's the plan ...

Here is a closer look at Halina ... and her multi skilled daughter Alex ... she can do a back flip among other amazing things and their finished projects. I bought some of that yummy Purple straight after the class ... Lush!

Class22607The lovely browns were made by Kiri ... the first time she had been to a class like this and she did a truly fabulous job ... that rose is her first and it is awesome! Class32607 And then we get to the noisy table ... I say table ... I mean noisy Mel :0) She knows I am only joking :0) That is Liz and Mel proudly sharing their work and just behind them we have Sue and Viv ... they took theirs home to stick the bits on ... save worrying about how to store them on a long journey ... but I am sure they will share when they are finished ... and then I can share too. Class42607 Last but by no means least is Chris ... Chris went for blues and rearranged the elements ... just lovely! Thanks for a great day girls!

I finally got rid of my patient tonight ... he has gone back to work ... still poorly but he can't be told ... still it has meant that I got a whole tub of Ben and Jerry's all to myself and the remote control ... what more could a girl want! So I have shared my entire day ... What did your Monday look like from there???

A Weekend of ArtsyCrafts!

AC4

Having attended ArtsyCrafts Autumn 2009 I was thrilled to be asked to help at the second of the May 2010 ArtsyCrafts events. But ... even having attended before ... well NOTHING could have prepared me for the AC6amount of work involved ... and I only turned up on Friday afternoon when all the really hard planning, packing and kitting had been done ... what a lightweight I am!!!

It was the best fun though ... we worked hard ... laughed a lot ... ate lots of chocolate and met lots of really lovely crafty people. AC1

I got to do my first big demo ... just a metal rose I might add ... but lots of people all the same!

In true blogger spirit I was told I looked just like Julia Roberts ... by more than one person ...so it must be true ... I also got to wash all the Cut n' dry foam ... Oh the glamour! I decided to take it back to my room and wash it in the shower ... I promise I did n't really shower with it ... but when you are cream crackered and it is gone midnight ... wAC2ell everything seems really funny ... so I posed with camera in hand ... just for you guys!  And if you are sat there thinking ... Oh my goodness ... that woman has no ankles ... trust me ... I had some when I left Cambridge on Friday afternoon ... but they had disappeared by around 10am on Saturday morning! You can rest assured I have ankles again today :0)

A big shout out to all the lovelAC5y people I met at the weekend and all the lovely bloggers that I can now put voices to their comments ... it really was a pleasure to meet you all ...

So there you have it ... that is why I have been AWOL ... well that and launching the Summer classes on the LB Craft's web site ...

Only 24 more sleeps now until DistrLBClass7ess Ink Utopia ... I had to spell check Utopia twice by the way ... the first time I spelt it soooo badly even the spell checky wotsit could n't recognise the word!

Right ... that is me ... how many of you are coming to LB on Sunday for the fun and frolics that is the B Line Bargain Bonanza???? And does anyone out there know whether the European plug on my hair straighteners will need an adapter in New Jersey????

A Day of Shopping!

Tag1703

Well ... we went to Ikea ... not many purchases and Dan did tell the guy at the restaurant till that he was my carer ... but other than that it was fun! Lots of yummy frames to alter and a few little jars for storing yummy things in. Then ... I had my first ever Cosco experience! WOW! That is all I can say really. I have never seen such large packets of anything and I got a fab new wire tray cum TSS metal storage station for a tenner.

Chatting to Dan as you do I grabbed the trolley and carried on oohing and arrhing and Dan said ... you do realise you have to pay cash in here don't you ... I said I did n't ... but that was OK. He said "Have you got enough to cover all those purchases then?" I thought he had gone quite mad ... looked down and I was only pushing a trolley loaded with about 50 children's games ... I had walked away with the wrong one ... took me ages to stop laughing and return it :0)Taga1703

Today's tag is made with the Daisy mould from TSS and their silver metal ... aged and distressed with blue and black acrylic paint ... the rose is blue acrylic painted Grunge paper and made with the middle size Wendy Vecchi rose ... I have all three now :0) Still got the large one left to try :0)

There is a Timmy memo pin holding the Timmy ticket ... you know Tim the man that can turn a 100 acre field of weeds into Wheat with just a flick of his wrist and a tiny dollop of rock candy stickles while driving a lorry and pushing a car at the same time!

Shout if you have any other questions ... after my unsuccessful attempt to tell you how I made my beer mat the other day ... completely forgetting the butterflies etc., ... I am back to answering questions by email :0)

Have a good evening ... Dan and I are about to start creating ... erm ... a mess probably :0)

Where Did the Weekend Go?

Beer21a

Ok! Where is he? The culprit responsible for stealing my weekend?

One minute is was Friday and then Saturday I was in Olney doing a dimensional Grunge card class ... where I had an absolutely fabulous time I might add! Thank you ladies! Then it was Sunday ... dinner with my babies ... the next thing I knew ... the alarm was going off, ringing in a new week! How time flies!

I bet this week flies too ... I have the lovely Dan coming to stay ... lots of Crafting going on there and a possible trip to Ikea ...  have n't been for ages ... can't wait to get in the markets place and see what I can buy to alter :0) Saturday in Olney and Sunday my Crafting birthday party! I shall be 28 :0) OK ... Who laughed? ... Out loud too! ... How rude :0)

I keep getting emails about my creations ... I am getting really bad at putting any details in my posts at all regarding the crafting ... so today ... the start of a whole new week ... and I am going to do my best to be as clear as possible :0)Beer21

Beer mat ... yes it's definitely a beer mat ... of the IPA variety ... covered in grey card and stamped with the lovely Wendy Vecchi plaid stamp ... then coloured in Rusty Hinge! The large flower head is Grunge paper covered with a text paper ... cut with a Sizzix die and coloured using Rusty Hinge. The bottle cap ... which I adore is Dijon metal ... stamped with one of Wendy Vecchi's bottle cap stamps and cut with a nestabilitie ... then shaped with a paper stamp. Between you and me ... the bottle caps are my absolute favourite ever Wendy Vecchi Stamps ... LOVE LOVE LOVE them! The bottle ... another Wendy Vecchi stamp ... this time stamped on white card and coloured using ... tumbled glass distress ink. The leaves are WV stamps ... can you see a theme going on here ... stamped in Olive archival onto Grunge paper, cut out and coloured with Forest Moss Distress Ink. And finally ... if you are still awake ... the pin clip and the ticket are both Idea-ology from Lord Tim of Holtz. You know Tim ... the man that could heal David Beckhams Achilles tendon in time for the world cup with just a smidgeon of Glossy Accents and small sprinkling of perfect pearls!

Blimey ... no wonder I stopped telling you how I make these things ... this post reads a bit like War and Peace :0)

Have a good week y'all!

How We Suffer for our Craft!

ZZproject10310

And Oh my goodness am I suffering!!!

I bought this lovely pink pen holder in Tescos for a pound!

Bargain!

So then I measure it ... cut myself some yummy Ten Second Studio Pink Diamond metal ... make a humungo tape sandwich with black card and whack it through the Big Shot with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Lovely Jubbly!ZZproject1c0310

Next I punch all the holes with my trusty Bind-it-All ... pick some ribbon and I thread and I tie and I cut ... until I am happy with the finished piece ... finally I add some extra bling for the flower centres.

It looked a bit bare so I scratch my head and decide to fill it with Cadbury's chocolate eggs ... we are working on our Spring themed submissions ... and I am quite chuffed with the idea ... so coat on ... de-ice the car ... it was last week in the winter ... not this week now it's summer ... I drive back to Tescos and I purchase the chocolate eggs ... I needed a 360g bag ... the pot was bigger than I thought and I needed you to be able to see the contents ... drive home ... open the bag ... stage the tin ... take several piccies ... upload them and I am ready to submit forPinktin the Zutter DT. Phew!

I can hear the cogs ticking from here ... you are wondering how I suffered ... where was the pain? ... the hardship? ... the suffering?

................................

Well someone had to eat all those eggs and now I feel really sick :0)

Okey Dokey ... now for the official stuff ... if you are here for the Kit N Kaboodles Bunny Hop Crop  Blog Hop ... try saying that with a mouthful of mini eggs ... then the direction you should be hopping in is Lynda's place which can be found by clicking here!

And if you happened across my blog first and you fancy joining in the hop ... then you want to start here.

Have a great Saturday everyone!

More Grunge Roses!

ZZproject2b0310

Hello everyone! Thank you so much to all my lovely WOYWW friends who stopped by yesterday ... even in my absence ... and left me a message to return home to ... made me feel all cosy and warm you did ... I think I managed to visit it you all by 11.05pm last night ... and there was a lot of you ... Mr Linky certainly helped.ZZproject20310

As many of you guessed I was teaching yesterday ... a fab class it was too ... but after taking a piccie of my desk at 5am ... I forgot to take my camera so I have no class photos to show you ... sorry!

OK ... back to the box ... I am not sure if I should start apologising for making more grunge roses or not ... I have been making them for ages now and the total must run into high double figures ... possibly even low triple figures ... but the phase still has n't passed and I love making them ... so I am not going to apologise ... even if you demand it :0)

ZZproject2d0310 This is a gift box that I made as part of my monthly submission for the Zutter DT ... it is made from white scraps of mount board and really does n't take very long at all. The cost is pennies rather than pounds and just imagine the price tag if you bought it in a card shop or one of those paper boutique places!

I have coloured it using Tumbled Glass; Bundled Sage and Brushed Corduroy Distress inks ... the Ornate frame is from Lord Tim of Holtz. You know Tim ... the man that can win a world chess tournament in his lunch break while having a short nap and restoring ancient monuments with just a ZZproject2c0310 class size bottle of Sepia Glossy accents and some Heirloom Gold perfect pearls. The roses are indeed Grunge Paper coloured with Brushed Corduroy and spritzed with Walnut Gold Glimmer mist. I also used some TSS gold metal for the Wendy Vecchi stamped leaves.

Right ho ... I must away ... I have a shed load of stuff to do ... Have a good day and Thank you all for your scientific signs of Spring ... I think it may be Summer here because the sun has been out three days in a row ... don't laugh ... remember last year ...

Steam Flunk ... Again!

SF1a

Blimey ... what is it with me and Steam punk? ... I saw the gothic arch challenge this week was Steam Punk ... and I thought ... it's been a while since my failed attempt ... I shall give it another go.

All was well with the arch and the TSS mould ... my lovely new gold metal and the Terra ... I was thinking time machine ... in a Steam punk kind of a way ... a bit of black acrylic paint and then the clock parts and Tim's Idea-ology cogs ... you know Tim ... the man that can time travel with just a glittery foam sticker thing and some Brushed Corduroy distress ink. SF1

Still on track I thought ... then the I got a bit side tracked looking through my Crafty Individuals piccies and before you know it ... I had attached a Wendy Vecchi Grunge paper butterfly ... some pearl beads and ... well the track had well and truly been lost at that point!

Hey ho ... now do I link it to the challenge? ... or do I not? Decisions! Decisions!

I'm still smiling by the way :0) Did you see him? What did you buy? What are you going to buy? Who rang in? Who got a text on the telly? C'mon spill ... that is all of Lord Tim Holtz in the UK for this year ... I need to get my Timmy fix somehow ... I know ... let's talk about him non stop ... Whadyamean? I do already :0)

Inexcusably Late!

WOYWW1702

Muchos apologies WOYWWers ... gone 9pm is no time to be showing you Wednesdays' desk ... but I have been really busy learning techno stuff and last night I decided to upload all the stuff off my desk top to my lap top ... I had no idea it would take all night and most of today ... I am fair worn out :0)Bluetag1a

Plus the fact that I did n't get much sleep because yesterday I had a personal visit from Lord Tim ... you know Tim ... the man that can make someone's entire year just by leaving one comment on their blog ... what? You did n't see it .... go back a day ... look at Tuesday's post and swoon ... I did :0) Well after I shrieked for about an hour ... and a half ... I really did n't think I could possibly love him anymore ... but I could ... because I do :0)Bluetag1

So you have seen the mess on my desk ... what on earth happened? I hear you ask ... well ... I created this tag ... and it took me a while to get the colour remotely decent ... it was black ... then blue ... then purple ... then blue ... it was also copper metal once ... sometime through the purple period I think :0)

If you have no clue what I am on about ... don't worry ... neither do I :0)

Only four more sleeps :0)

All You Need is Love!

Rosegrunge1a

This week the Sunday Stampers challenge is all about lurve!

This is my entry because it is fit to bursting with stash I lurve :0)

Firstly Maya Road Chip tag and we all know how much I lurve Maya Road. Then there is TSS metal ... and my new cog mould/mold [that discussion is still ongoing] which I also  lurve ... then we have the Wendy Vecchi dimensional rose stamp which I lurve too and the leaf stamp ... which I also lurve ... bit of Terra ... which I lurve and finally ... not forgetting Grunge paper and Idea-ology from Tim ... the man that can make 5000 valentines  cards with a single piece of grunge paper, a brushed corduroy distress re-inker and a spare 5 minutes.Rosegrungetag1

I think I may just about have qualified for the challenge with that little lot.

This tag was totally inspired by Lin Brown's TSS video this week ... she really did an amazing job and had me itching to play.

I am sending big hugs to anyone out there that did n't get a Valentines today ... treat yourself to something expensive and decadent stashwise ... that usually works for me :0)

Righty-ho ... I must be away ... I have a serious amount of blog hopping to catch up on and guess what ... it is only SEVEN more sleeps ... on the exciteometer I am now on a scale of 20 timillion and the needle only goes as far as 5 :0)

WOYWW!

WOYWW1002

Most of you know by now that WOYWW is an acronym for What's on your work desk Wednesday? A movement which is led by the very eloquent Julia. In fact mine is more WLOYWFTN ... which is roughly translated to What's left on your work desk from Tuesday night? I did take the picture this morning ... I have to say that otherwise Susie Sugar will take steps to have me disbarred ... tis true she has tried and failed with others in the past :0)

Basically I watched the Taco Tuesday video last night with a celebrity guest appearance from none other than the very talented Lin Brown and I was itching to get my metal and moulds out. Sadly Mr Sandman hit me squarely between the eyes before I got any further than the mould work ... but if I get time I will finish this today and blog it later :0) Don't you just love those cogs?LB0902

Why so tired I hear you ask ... well I spent a productive and very enjoyable day teaching my Bean playing class at LB Crafts. It was a fabulous group of ladies ... as always ... and you can see them and their wonderful projects in the picture on the right. Sadly I chopped the lovely Vicky off the picture ... for which I am really really sorry ... but here you can see ... Sally, Jenny, Di, Sandra, Carol, Allyson and Ann. Thanks girls ... I hope you had as much fun as I did :0) And did n't they all do a fabulous job!

I have lots to do ... so I am Russian around today ... Moscow :0)

What a Day!

Class3

As you know it was my third class yesterday ... and yes it did snow! ... I left home at 7.00am and by 7.03am ... I was sliding sideways across a main road into a roundabout ... no damage and I was able to continue with my journey ... but what a hairy start. Luckily about 20 miles outside Cambridge there was very little or no snow ... so things improved! I did tell you that snow, cars and me ... well we just don't get on!

So I get to LB Crafts and I realised I have left a few supplies at home ... luckily the lovely Karen was there to sort me out ... then I went to collect some cut n dry foam off the window sill where I had left it to dry ... stood up and whacked my head on the window recess ... solid brick ... and you know when you get a big lump and you have to keep feeling it to check it still hurts ... well that was me! Luckily only mildly concussed ... and you know me ... I like to exaggerate :0)CSCover

The great thing was my ladies were all fab as usual ... some new faces and some return visits ... so I have n't frightened anyone away yet ... we got straight on with our metal magic class and things picked up!

Boy! ... did they pick up on a grand scale ... the lovely Lin Brown popped in with exciting tales of things to come for this year from CHA ... can't wait to get my grubby little hands on loads of the new stuff ... and it was great to have her back ... and ...

Get this ... I am sooooo excited ... honoured ... shocked ... happy ... delirious ... chuffed ... excited ... doh! ... I have said that already ... but I made the front cover of Craft Stamper ... did I tell you I was excited :0) I am sure a better piccie of the cover will be available shortly ... but for now ... mine looks like this :0) It is a packed and fabulous issue ... with some great projects from Lin too ... I am sooooooo excited :0)

I am off to do my happy dance some more and consider reasons for knocking on every door in my road ... just to start up a conversation where I can slip the magazine in :0)

Have a good Sunday everyone :0)

Fit To Burst!

WV

I am sooooo excited ... I can hardly type straight! If I was clever at this point I would have made the text wavy ... coz that would have been reeeeeeally funny ... but I am not that clever!

Why am I sooooo excited??? ... well ... after lots of talking and planning with Lin Brown from L.B Crafts ... I can now announce that I will be doing some classes there ... in the new year ... How cool is that?LB1a1109

I am totally honoured that Lin chose me ... I LOVE her classes ... the organisation ... the planning ... the way they are run ... her teaching style ... the individuality of her projects ... the chocolate fix ... it is all wonderful and I hope that some of her flare, creativity, style and fabulous ideas will rub off on me ... If I ever get in the same division as her ... let alone the same league ... well I will be one happy lady!

Remember the Grunge paper pieces ... well ... you lot made me howl with laughter ... No Helen it is not grunge meccano ... and Carmen ... wings for Tim??? I will have you know the legend that is Mr Holtz can fly without wings :0) A crocodiles snout was close ... NOT! ... so no cigar for Nigel!

LB11109 I was in fact ... as many of you guessed correctly making some roof tiles for this little bird house.

The roof is made entirely from spiced rum metal and grunge paper using a Wendy Vecchi stamp. Her stamps are the best ... so versatile ... tile ... Geddit???

The walls are made with Dijon TSS metal ... which is my new favourite and the fence and window box is made from craft sticks ... I had so much fun making this ...

I have probably bent your ears enough for one day ... so I am off to make ... erm ... something else :0)

A Bit of a Squeeze!

WOYWW1811

I know ... I know ... I am late blogging and there is not much improvement in the state of my desk compared to last week.

I really cannot believe it is Wednesday again already ... and time for WOYWW. My desk has been tidy once or twice in the last week ... but not for much longer than about 5 minutes ... if I am absolutely honest!

I have been really industrious today too ... I have finally gotten around to clearing my paper work drawer in the kitchen ... you cannot believe the relief ... I had some letters to write that I have been putting off and finally got around to sorting ... Woo Hoo ... it is one of those jobs that you dread ... but to be quite honest it's never as bad as you imagine ...

On my desk is my project from the wonderful TSS Master class I have been on at LB Crafts in the last couple of days ... Lin really is the master when it comes to working with metal and there are sooooo many different techniques ... another fabulous class ... and of course you get to shop at the end ... which is just the cherry on the top of the icing on the scrumptious cake ... I still had a bit to finish at the end ... mainly due to the wonderful company of Diane, Sue and Flo ... too much chatting ... but hopefully I will add all my finishing touches tonight ...

The box part is finished ... but I put that on my desk quickly for the photo ... coz I totally love it!

So come on guys ... I have shown all ... visit Julia this week and join in the fun!
