Salon Blown Hairstyle with Vidal Sassoon's Air Hair Styler

 

When I first got my Air Hair Styler, I didn't know what to do with it!  I just like the idea of having hair tools with interchangeable heads and just HAIR TOOLS IN GENERAL!  I love collection them - no judgment please :P

Thanks to Tiktok and the stuck at home Pandemic, I was able to watch a lot of Tiktok Influencers who are using a similar hair styler (mostly in other brands), and noticed how they can easily create curls using the round brush head!  I mean, I have the tool, I should at least try right?

Yes, I did and pulled out a lot of hair I ended up using Hair Growth serums!  LOL.  But thankfully, with my persistence and love for hairstyling, I was able to FINALLY umderstood the right way to work and hold these tools.  

There are several ways to be honest but I like the vertical method!  The direction of the hairstyler is standing straight as shown on photo below and the effect of the curl is soft..wavy and romantic!

Expect gentle pulling when you use such tool as compared to regular curling rod!  But surprisingly, if done correctly, NO HAIR PULLING and no Hair Fall!

Easy Beach Waves!

 

Hi AMW Friends!

At this point of writing, I already chopped 4 inches off my hair but I am not sad about it!  This, for the record, is my longest hair SINCE BIRTH!  The pandemic really made me experience such length and instead of whining about it, I’ve enjoyed learning how to style my hair by creating various curls and looks!  

The best and easiest curls for such hair length is the beach waves to be honest!  I had a very hard time using a curling iron or flat iron (to curl) because of the hair length so yes, if you have long hair like I do, go for te beach waves curler like the ones I reviewed from CKeyin !  It is the easiest I swear!

Now if you don’t have that and you own a clampless hair styling tool, that’s another way you can easily do beach waves!  The clampless tool I used is from Herstyler and I bought it at Beautymnl.com.

The curls aren’t perfect, just messily-good!  The way I like it!  I dislike curls that look so made-up and so….gradeschool-ish?

After trying out UFO by FOREO, I finally opened myself up to other brands that are making waves in the online beauty industry (locally).

I got to try 2 of their bestsellig gadgets.  The first one is the Dr. Beauty Anti-Aging LED Facial Therapy (Php3,999.00 available at BeautyMNL)

This beauty tool is best used to treat various skin issues as it utilizes Radio Frequency, High Energy Pulse and Photon.  What caught my attention in this tool is how it would stimulate Collagen production and even improves blood circulation as per product details.

Here’s a quick overview on how to use the gadget as I find it not as simple to use as touch and go!  I mean you really have to read through this because I originally thought serum is needed to be used prior to using this tool.

Barry M Nail Paints Now In the Philippines!

The first time I laid my hands on a Barry M product was actually a nail polish which I won from a contest year 2009.  (You don't believe me?  Click HERE).

Beauty Blogging was way different back then.  I don't have access to a lot of international brands so I ended up doing a lot of "Blogger Shopping Switch" (I purchase items for an International Blogger and they shop for me in their country!)

So anyway, back to the brand story!  I have tried Barry M polishes and knew they were great!  But since the brand never arrived our shores, I just set this aside (at the back of my head wishing and hoping they'll be available locally).

Who would have thought it would happen on a crazy 2020?  I mean everything about this year has been bad so hearing such news is such a wonderful bud of leaf peeping through a dried out soil (okay, I'm too negative here but you know what I mean right?)

So a lot of you would probably shrug your shoulders and say: "Meh".

The nail polish and nail art lover in me is REJOICING! 

You can easily see it by the look of my face - pure joy as I applied a coat of Barry M Gelly Shine Nail Paint!  I got 3 shades to play with and used 2 immediately + a top coat!

Barry M Gelly Shine Nail Paints are indeed high shine (a coat is enough to see the shine!)  and it is quick drying!  I applied this on a whim while doing an unboxing video and had a busy day ahead so I washed my hand 5 minutes after I applied the top coat expecting them to be ruined!  Well, it did not!  And I am still sporting this lovely nails while typing this blog post!

Pony Effect Pro Fit Liquid Concealer Review

I've loved PONY even way before she turned her channel to Pony Effect.  I've seen her in Korean Beauty Videos and liked her beauty ever since and how she manages to project on cam and teach makeup in a breeze!  

I am not surprised she rose up to a Youtube Star!  And even more having her own makeup line!  One of the few items I've loved from her brand is her super nice Contour Powder,  she nailed the super natural contour powder (considering I have tried gazillion!)

 So yes, I have high hopes with her concealer, I've used this for a long time before coming up with a decent review.  

I think you can sense that there's a bit of hesitation right?  Well, the only thing that is making me hesitate is probably the choice of shades!  BEIGE is usually PERFECT for me but this turned out to be a bit light for me!  I'd prefer to have a shade darker but overall, I'll give you a clue --- the formulation is THE BOMB!

Sunnies Face - you have been around for quite some time and I don't know why I didn't get to talk about you or try you!  So when I got the chance to shop at BeautyMNL, I took the effort to look for makeup products and brands that I really want to share to you my thoughts and of course, I picked for products you guys want me to talk about!

I have been wanting to try this concealer for quite some time and I got this from Althea a couple of months ago and realized I can find this cheaper at BeautyMNL!  Too late for me but not for you!  Yes, this is priced affordably at Php584.00 at BeautyMNL (good while supplies last) while I got this for Php920.00 at Althea!  So yes, that's a huge tip for you if you wanted to purchase one yourself.

Now let me get down to business.  Is this worth the price I paid for?  Is this different from other affordable concealers I've tried in the past?

So dear Klairs came up with a Creamy & Natural Fit Concealer and I got myself a shade Natural from checking out online swatches and so far, it was a good decision.

The first few lip crayons I've tried are mostly like tinted lipbalms, they are highly moisturizing yet has the least amount of pigment.  I love them, but sometimes, I crave for color!  Thankfully, brands are coming up with pigmented lip crayons and one of them is from the brand Lioele.

At first glance, I didn't know these were pigmented, they look like regular tinted lip balms so one swipe gave me a shock! (in a good way!)

But I'm glad it's my birthday soon!

Just a few more days and I'm turning a year older!  I don't feel any day older though, I guess I am surrounded by fun and young people I get all the youthful energy!  And let's not forget, I like cute, pretty stuff that makes me happy every single day!

Today, I am wearing a lip color I absolutely dislike *laughs*  But that's just me, Orange lipstick really isn't my thing but this lipstick that I got from NYX Cosmetics called NYX Full Throttle is a type of lipstick worth checking out!  I don't know how this got into my kit (I mean, THIS COLOR in particular) but who am I to judge?  This color is particularly LOVELY on photo!  A bit shocking neon orange in person but really beautiful on photos!

The Kilo Off Challenge

Before 2018 start, I knew I had to do something about my extra 5-8 pounds!  I used to be 110-115lbs pounds (pre-Kyle) and it shoot up to 120-125lbs after giving birth!  With all the physical activities I do with my son, you would think I don't have issues with my weight, with extra cups of coffee a day plus in between snacking just because I'm too sleep or tired, pounds are actually adding up without me knowing!

Easiest Brush to Contour Your Face

I got this brush as a Christmas Gift last year and have been testing and using this for almost 2 months now.  

If you ask me, at first glance, the brush doesn't look anything special at all!  I mean judging by the look of the bristles, application could go messy.  But of course, who am I to judge?  I gave this a small sweep under my cheekbones the moment I received this (not recommended as you need to wash your brushes upon purchase)

Initial thoughts?  Brush hair is quite soft and easy to use and it fits under my cheekbones perfectly.

Pony Effect Nice Shading Review (Crony)

If you are into watching Makeup videos on Youtube, you probably heard about Pony's Makeup.  I don't really get the chance to sit and watch youtube all-day long, but just in case I have a couple of minutes to spare before going to sleep, I watch Pony because I love her personality, her makeup style and just HER overall!  

So imagine the excitement when she came up with her own makeup line called Pony Effect.  How can I get my hands on them since I can't seem to travel to Korea anytime soon?  Thankfully, there's Althea and upon seeing them stock up on Pony Effect Makeup, I knew I had to give her Contour Powder a try!

Pixi By Petra MultiBalm 2-in-1 Cheek & Lip Review

I've reviewed a couple of Pixi By Petra products in the past and I'm quite amazed how this simple brand in simple mint green packaging can really catch my attention.  How?  With innovative products that you think you've had enough off (or probably don't need) but end up liking/loving them just because of the way it appears on your skin.

And these 2 products are no exemption!  They were on top of my makeup station for quite some time but I don't have this urge to really test them out until I sat down, fixed all the "to review makeups" in the bin and found these and decided to use both together.

During application, I was thinking at the back of my head : "What the heck?  Both products doesn't do anything for me!"  NOT UNTIL I saw this photo taken by Mr. AMW with me wearing both products together.  Okay, I look younger no?  And oh yeah, my skin looks extremely nice and healthy!  And mind you, I contoured there using the multibalm and it doesn't look like I had any contouring products on!  What do you think?

L'Oreal True Match Genius 4-in-1 Primer Foundation Concealer Powder Review

I talked about this new L'Oreal True Match Genius 4-in-1 Primer, Foundation, Concealer and Powder on my social media accounts and most of you requested for a review right away!  I did my best and used it even though the shade doesn't match me that well!  Weird how it looks oh-so-perfect on pan but once applied, it looks a bit light on me but nothing a bronzer and darker setting powder can't do!  Although for the sake of review, I actually went out wearing JUST this to test its' longevity.

Yes, for you guys, I can go out with a foundation that doesn't match my neck!  If you don't call that true love, I don't know what :P

Shade: G1 Gold Ivory

I have always been a "beige" girl so the gold maybe perfect fit for me but the Ivory puts the shade a bit off a bit!  Nothing too alarming, but I just have to put on a disclaimer!
