How to Use Innisfree My Concealers (Wide Cover and Spot Cover)

Concealing, a makeup step that I have vowed to master after my Make Up Schooling.  It is one of the most difficult step especially when I do bridal makeup!  The concealer has to be strong enough TO COVER EVERYTHING yet, it has to be "subtle" enough to not be seen especially on Hi-Def Cameras and Videos.

After constant practice, I am proud to say, I have mastered the concealing technique and knowing the texture of your concealer that fits your flaws is the best advice I can give you for now!

Since it is lockdown, maybe you can whip out your concealers and practice concealing?  

One of my favorite "friendly-to-your-pocket" yet it "works-on-a-professional level" brand is from Innisfree.  Let's start with 2 of their star concealers in Spot Cover and Wide Cover.

Pony Effect Pro Fit Liquid Concealer Review

I've loved PONY even way before she turned her channel to Pony Effect.  I've seen her in Korean Beauty Videos and liked her beauty ever since and how she manages to project on cam and teach makeup in a breeze!  

I am not surprised she rose up to a Youtube Star!  And even more having her own makeup line!  One of the few items I've loved from her brand is her super nice Contour Powder,  she nailed the super natural contour powder (considering I have tried gazillion!)

 So yes, I have high hopes with her concealer, I've used this for a long time before coming up with a decent review.  

I think you can sense that there's a bit of hesitation right?  Well, the only thing that is making me hesitate is probably the choice of shades!  BEIGE is usually PERFECT for me but this turned out to be a bit light for me!  I'd prefer to have a shade darker but overall, I'll give you a clue --- the formulation is THE BOMB!

Benefit's Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer Review

Concealer > Foundation for me for the past years.  Especially when Kyle started out elementary adding going to my gym in my already busy schedule, putting on makeup like 10 years ago is non-existent!  I find myself relying on concealers and powders more and more than usual.

When Benefit launched their newest concealer late last year called Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer, I knew I had to get my hands on them because I have been loving their old Boi-ing Concealers!

So I picked this concealer online via Althea for review!  For the price, I didn't expect much and used it immediately.  I made the right decision picking shade number 4 as it matches my skin, the name states FULL COVER, does it gives the full coverage I want in a concealer?

Concealer is one makeup product I've been "hitting the pan" so fast I literally had to stock on different brands.

This particular shade would work well on users with fair complexion!  It has a cool undertone.

If there's OMG moment for a concealer (coming from someone who uses A LOT of concealer), I will give it to CLIO's Kill Cover Pro Artist Liquid Concealer!  I know I've raised my hat on the Kill Cover Conceal-dation but there is something extremely unique about this concealer I can't help but gush about it!

Concealing for a very busy mom like me --- IS LIFE!

I used to laugh at my sister for using too much concealer and finishing up tubes after tubes.  Then I turned into a mom myself, I now understand where she is coming from.

Gone are the days I can literally wake up and just apply press powder all over face and leave the house!  Hindi na talaga possible! 

But thankfully, with the great concealing technology from various makeup brands, I can have 3-4 hours of sleep and have people tell me: "Ang fresh mo!" (You Look Fresh!)

Aaminin ko na, it is really just the power of CONCEALING!  (and smiling!)

My favorite type of undereye concealer will always be the liquid type, the ones housed in a tube with doe-foot applicator because I find them very easy to work with.  I also like the consistency on how I can easily blend them without looking like I have loads of makeup on.  

Thankfully, there are more brands coming up with this type of concealer that gives enough coverage!  1-2 layers are enough!

Real Stay Concealer for the New Year!

How does one test a concealer to know if it works?

Strip off all your makeup and do the half-face test, step back, check your reflection and you go about your day and see if you still have a "Half-Face Difference" by the time you're ready to remove your makeup.

My method worked, although I usually do that when I don't go out because I'd probably look like some crazy Tita on-the-loose!

So the Saga for Concealers continue....and I got my hands on the most coveted concealer from the Beauty Blogging community!  The Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser Concealer!  I've seen Beauty YouTuber (both localand international) raving about this!  So when I learned this is FINALLY available in the Philippines, I got so excited, moved all the concealers I've been using aside and tested this for almost a month!  1 week in Korea and the rest of the days here.

Flormar Perfect Coverage Liquid Concealer Review

So I've tried a couple of Flormar products and when I saw the Perfect Coverage Liquid Concealer, because, concealer really is a basic necessity of mine when it comes to base makeup!  

When you visit the Flormar counter, you'll see a LOT of makeup products but what made me pick this particular one up for review is because of the simple concealer packaging that I like.  A lipgloss-type of plastic tube packaging (transparent friends!) and....

A doe-foot applicator, which in my humble opinion, the BEST concealer applicator for liquid concealers!

Pink Sugar Our Lil' Secret Concealer Review

What's my not-so-secret Secret?  I use concealer in a daily basis and apply it only on areas of my face that needed coverage (undereye, sides of nose and random pimples).  And I keep the rest of my face bare as much as possible just to let it breathe!

That I think, is my secret to having better-looking skin (disclaimer: Not always!)

That said, I finish up concealers so quickly I can actually review several brands in a month!

One recent concealer collection is from Pink Sugar called Our Lil' Secret Concealer (Php349.00).

Thanks to Pink Sugar for creating various shades of concealers (not just light and medium) but they actually have 5 shades and you'll definitely find one that would match you.

5 shades: Light Warm, Light Medium, Beige, Medium and Medium Deep.

Thankfully, this is housed in a packaging I love most when it comes to liquid concealers!

Comes with doe-foot applicator which, in my opinion, is the best applicator for liquid concealers because you get to apply the much needed amount of product on key areas.

Tony Moly FACETONE Creamy Tip Concealer Review

It's funny how I have a "rotation list" of concealers I use on a daily basis and I pick the one I used based from how my undereye circles look or appear on that very day!

Whenever it has to do with the undereye circles, I prefer the liquid type concealer with doe-foot applicator on a simple everyday makeup look.  One that was kept on rotation was the one I bought early this year from Tony Moly called FACETONE Creamy Tip Concealer.

Given the choice, I would go for their darkest shade Natural Beige but it was all out-of-stock in most Tony Moly stores so I gave in to the shade P01 which is Pink Beige, not my shade for sure but a perfect one if you are aiming to cover undereye circles.

Housed in a small lipgloss-like packaging, this is very easy-to-use even for quick touch-up!

I've been reading so many positive reviews about Maybelline Age Rewind and FIT Me concealer.  Since I still haven't gotten the chance to try Age Rewind, I am still happy enough to be able to try FIT me! I'm actually extremely thankful I get to try this because....this is surprisingly GOOD!

The FIT Me! concealer is housed in my "most favorite concealer packaging --- the lipgloss-type tube with a doe-foot applicator!  For me, the best concealer applicator will always be the doe-foot applicator!

Concealer has always been my best friend for the past years and I have been finishing up concealer after concealer because I really need them to hide my undereye circles on a daily basis!

So given a chance to purchase makeup, I'll always go for concealers and face powders (to set) because I use them up the most quickly.

I recently chanced upon an inexpensive brand called Deborah Milano!  Known for their base makeup, I had to pick this up after trying out testers.  The feel and texture is just right so I went ahead and go for shade 3 which is their darkest, at the same time, has the most orange tone to it to correct my dark undereye circles.

Happy Skin Bye Bye Blues Brightening Concealer Review

I've said it so many times here on my blog and in all my workshops!  I go out daily without the need of foundation as long as I have a good concealer and a face powder to set!  That said, I have finished so many brands and types of concealers over a decade and there are just a few that I can say --- really works!  

When I got myself Happy Skin Bye Bye, Blues Brightening Concealer Wand during the Festival of Colors Collection Launch, I wasn't that impressed with the capacity of a concealer to "brighten" at the same time cover undereye darkness!  I mean, you can choose only ONE right?  Either a concealer can "correct" your undereye circles or acts as an undereye "highlighter" to brighten the area.... multiple choice question...choose only ONE.

But with Happy Skin, I can finally say, there is an option 3 --- ALL OF THE ABOVE!

The Bye Bye, Blues concealer comes in 2 shades --- Light and Medium.  As always, I go with my gut-feel and went for "Medium" even if my fellow Beauty Bloggers would probably raise their eyebrows on me!  But yes, I need a medium because that is HOW DARK my undereye circles are!

Etude House Big Cover Concealer Tip Review

Concealer, my ultimate favorite make up product for daily use because I tend to skip foundation especially since the weather is getting more humid by the minute!

One concealer that caught my attention last year was the Etude House Big Cover Concealer Tip, this BIG COVER range comes with its' own Cover Concealer BB with SPF50, a Cover Cushion Concealer and a stick concealer as well!  

I went for the Concealer Tip with a doe foot applicator because I find this to be the easiest and best concealer applicator for me especially when I'm in rush.

This comes in 2 shades: Beige and Sand.

I got sand hoping it will be "darker" than most Korean Concealers but it still looks a bit light on me!

Since the shade is not as "warm" as I would like to cover undereye darkness, I use this on top of a corrector or a regular foundation just to "hide" the undereye darkness before I use the Big Cover Concealer Tip.
