The series is being written by Image Comics Chew creator John Layman, with art by Chris Mooneyham, and cover artist Glenn Fabry.

Image Comics Chew Mystery Meat II: The Revenge Blind Box Chogs from Skelton Crew Studio

Chew fans, be ready for Mystery Meat Part 2!!
Skelton Crew Studio and Image Comics creators John Layman and Rob Guillory have come through with a surprise second series set of the Mystery Blind Box Chogs. There will be seven new designs included in the series, Trailer Hitch Chrome, BeelzeChog, Flocked Up, Double-o Chog, Grape, RoboChog, and a seventh mystery chase Chog.
Like the Golden Chog in Series 1, Chrome and Flocked Up are both limited chase Chogs this time.
The first Mystery Meat series was limited to only 1,500 and sold out. The run size of Series 2 Mystery Meat: The Revenge will be determined by pre-0rder. A total of 50 complete sets were available for pre-order in the first series and good news for the second series is that there will also be an opportunity to pre-order full sets.

Complete sets will be available during the first TWO DAYS of the pre-order window, from 12 p.m. on Friday, June 10, EST, through noon on Sunday, June 12! After that, the sets are no more and you'll only be able to order this series blind box-style. Gotta have all seven? This will be the easiest (and certainly cheapest!) way to make it happen.
Once again, 10 lucky customers will receive hand-painted Chogs at random customized by the fabulous likes of "CHEW"'s John Layman, the studio's Israel Skelton, "Head Lopper"'s Andrew MacLean, "Five Ghosts"'s Frank Barbiere and Lauren Affe and one or two other to-be-announced guest artists.
But, this time, FIVE of the custom Chogs will randomly go to people who order full sets (giving them an 8th Chog free!) and FIVE will go out at random to people who pre-order the single blind boxes by July 10!

Chew Card Game Including Exclusive Chew #1 Variant from IDW Games

IDW Games announced the official release date for the first in a series of CHEW tabletop games. CHEW: Cases of the FDA will be available in May of 2015. This fast-paced, high-laughs card game features art by Rob Guillory, including a brand-new box cover, as well as text by CHEW creator and writer, John Layman. IDW Games tapped designer Kevin Wilson (Descent, X-Files, Arkham Horror) to create an appropriately over-the-top card game worthy of the CHEW name.

“This whole process has been a blast,” says CHEW writer and creator, John Layman. “The game’s all kinds of fun, and I’m hoping to see people playing in local hobby stores and convention halls across the country this year!”

Based on the Eisner Award-winning comic series, CHEW: Cases of the FDA card game seats 2-5 players and is playable in about 30 minutes. Players compete to close cases pulled directly from the pages of the ongoing comic book. They’ll enlist partners like John Colby, Amelia Minz, and even Buttercup the lion, while simultaneously sending fiendish villains and cultists out to sabotage their rivals’ investigations. As an added bonus, all pre-ordered copies of the game will include an exclusive variant edition of CHEW #1 featuring Guillory’s homage to Dogs Playing Poker packaging artwork, as well as 20 pink CHOG plastic minis that will change color in future printings.

Head to your Friendly Local Game Store to pre-order CHEW: Cases of the FDA and while you wait for the game to finish baking to perfection, visit http://www.idwgames.com and “like” facebook.com/idwgames and follow @idwgames for more bite-sized teasers.

Chew #46 and Chew Volume 9 from Image Comics

Writer John Layman and artist Rob Guillory serve up more CHEW this February from Image Comics with an all-new story arc and trade paperback with CHEW #46 and CHEW, VOL. 9 respectively.

A multiple Eisner Award winning and New York Times bestselling series, CHEW #46 provides the perfect jumping-on point for readers and will introduce a new partner, new boss, and new problems to the new CHEW storyline.

Only 15 issues remain to the series—with a planned ending at issue #60—and the stakes will be raised for Tony Chu with each new plot twist. “Chew continues to drastically change its own status quo from issue to issue and arc to arc,” said Layman. “As we enter the final quarter of the book things will continue to accelerate. Change will come fast, and change will be permanent."

Guillory added: "John and I began Chew with a very specific end in mind. Now, with only 15 issues of Chew left, we're hitting the gas pedal in a very big way. Things are escalating to fever pitch, and no character is safe."

CHEW #46 will be available on February 25 and can be pre-ordered using Diamond Code DEC140631. CHEW, VOL. 9 (ISBN: 978-1632152894) will be in comic book stores on February 25 as well and can be pre-ordered with Diamond Code DEC140632.

Skelton Crew Studio Chew Comic Poyo Mini Bust Review

We are huge fans of Image Comics Chew comic series from creators John Layman and Rob Guillory. The series is in its 42nd issue and continues to get better and is coming closer to its end at 60 issues. This year has been amazing for Chew fans with the news of learning there will be an animated series featuring Steven Yeun (Glenn from The Walking Dead) who will play the voice of Tony Chu and Felicia Day (The Guild) who will play Amelia Mintz. Along with this terrific news, the Chew fans have also been fortunate to pick up great merchandise and collectibles from Skelton Crew Studio who have created Chog vinyl figures, a cool Chew Apron, soon to be Plush Chogs, and the recent Poyo Mini Bust.

We just received the Poyo Mini Bust and all I can say is that it is Awesome!!

The Poyo Mini Bust is great, which features Poyo all around the box. Who is Poyo? We get a great description of where he came from and who he is. This is the great humor we should expect from Chew creator John Layman. The Poyo Mini Bust was limited to only 500 pieces and now sold out.

The Poyo Mini Bust stands 4.75" tall from the base to top of his "Rooster Crown".  Poyo is bursting out of his cage and showing us his great pose of showing his power and toughness. The bust is made out of resin and the paint is terrific showing us Poyo's colors we see in the comic series. The details are what we hoped for in Poyo from his feathers to his crown. The crate he bursts out is pretty hilarious in what it says. On one side, it states, "Hazard! Be Prepared to Pee Self".  The Poyo Mini Bust is limited to only 500 pieces, and we happened to have 221/500.

The Poyo Mini Bust not only included Poyo, but an added bonus of a very cool ticket recreating one of Poyo's fights. The ticket is a lot of fun because they made it so life like. On the backside of the ticket, it was signed by Chew creators John Layman and Rob Guillory. The humor continues on the back side of the ticket where it says "Ticketpimp".

Overall, Skelton Crew Studio has created another masterpiece in the Poyo Mini Bust from the packaging, details, paint, to the signed ticket. Chew fans should be very pleased to add this to their collections because we definitely are.

We can now place our Poyo Mini Bust with our Poyo custom statue created by Angry Koala Gear's Obscure.

Chew: Warrior Chicken Poyo is Coming This July from Image Comics

John Layman and Rob Guillory team up to bring back CHEW fans’ most beloved homicidal cybernetic kung-fu rooster in an all-new CHEW spinoff series: WARRIOR CHICKEN POYO.

Where SECRET AGENT POYO was CHEW through a James Bond lens turned up to 11, WARRIOR CHICKEN POYO is Layman’s and Guillory’s mad take on high fantasy, The Lord of the Rings, Conan, and with a dash of The Wizard of Oz thrown in.

"Secret Agent Poyo was the most important comic ever published by Image, in addition to being the best comic book ever published in the entire history of humanity,” declared Layman. “And Warrior Chicken Poyo is SO good, it will make Secret Agent Poyo look like rancid, smelly garbage! THAT'S how good it's going to be! Warrior Chicken Poyo will change comics forever, as well as the life of anybody who reads it."

Guillory spoke of the pressure to outdo such greatness as Secret Agent Poyo. "After drawing Secret Agent Poyo, I flirted with the idea of retiring from comics,” admitted Guillory. “I mean, how could we ever top the magnum opus that was Secret Agent Poyo? But now, with the arrival of Warrior Chicken Poyo, I worry, have we flown too close to the sun? Can comics—nay, MANKIND—withstand the terrible beauty of such a book as Warrior Chicken Poyo?!!"

CHEW: WARRIOR CHICKEN POYO #1 arrives in stores on 7/9, and will be available for $3.50. It can be pre-ordered with Diamond Code MAY140608.
