Easy Shaker Style Christmas Ornaments

Ann Melvin Independent Craft Addict|Easy Shaker Style Ornament

#positivelypapercraft, #annmelvin, #diycrafts,

Hi Everyone,

I told you i would be back :-) I am so excited to bring you my first project as a 'free' Woman haha. I have lots of great tutorials coming up & i am so happy most of you are staying with me :-)

I am kicking my first project off with these really cute photo ornaments. I was shopping in B&M the other day when i came across them. They were only £2.49 for 4. You get 2 circles & 2 star shapes. They are designed to hold pictures but i wanted to decorate mine a bit more.

#positivelypapercraft, #christmasornament

They are so easy to make and you could add sequins, glitter or faux snow like i have. I picked a large bag of faux snow up from my local pound shop. You get a picture already inside the ornament, don't throw it away until you have drew round it, this will give you a template for whatever paper or card you want to put inside.

The red Truck is a stamp set that i bought from http://www.craftstash.co.uk i stamped it out using Tuxedo Black ink then i coloured it in with alcohol markers. The Trees are die cuts and the background is glitter card.

The other ornament was decorated with a cute Ginger Bread Man die.
These would make very inexpensive gifts or you could just make them for your own home. I hope you like them :-)

Please check out my YouTube tutorial which you can find listed at the end of this blog post. I will be back again next week with lots more tutorials.

Easy Paper Pine cone Decoration

Hi Everyone,

I am back with another tutorial.
Today i have a gorgeous decoration that looks like a pine cone. This would be great to hang on the Christmas Tree and you could also alter the size and make larger or smaller ones.

They are really simple to make and all you need is some 12" x 12" DSP and a hot glue gun! I hope you like them.

They are basically made in the same way that you make rosettes. The only difference being that you stack them on top of each other.

The cone in the left of the picture is made with the beautiful year of cheer DSP and the cone on the right is made with the painted harvest DSP. The rope craft trim i used as a hanging loop is retired now. I just had a bit left that i wanted to use up.

These are great fun to make and you can make them in any colour you like. I have a few more ideas for these so i will post any more i do on this blog.

The products i used are listed at the end of this post as well as the link for my You Tube video.

DIMENSIONS

2 PIECES DSP MEASURING 1" X 12"

4 PIECES OF DSP MEASURING 1 1/4" X 8"

2 PIECES OF DSP MEASURING 1 1/2" X 10"

SCORE ALL 8 PIECES AT EVERY 1/2" ON THE LONG SIDE

JOIN THE 1 1/2" PIECES TOGETHER AND ALSO THE 4 PIECES MEASURING 1 1/4" X 8" BUT MAKE 2 ROSETTES OUT OF THEM

Thank you for stopping by and pop back tomorrow as i have some EXCITING NEWS!!!

Bye for now

Love
Ann xx

Gorgeous Rosettes made using Washi Tape & Awesomely Artistic

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my blog & my usual Wednesday Tutorial.
Today i have some beautiful Rosettes that are really simple to make & look great. I was playing around the other day with Washi tape and thought it would look lovely on some Rosettes. I hope you agree!!

I made a few in a Christmas style & these could be hung on the Tree or even put on the front of presents. I also came up with the idea of gluing a small Candy Cane on the front.

This is a great way to use up your Washi Tapes & even your scrap card. Most of mine were made from a piece of card measuring 11 3/4" x 2" and scored on the long side @ every 1/2"

The non Christmas one i make in the tutorial would be great for a Birthday or anything you like. I used the Ticket Tare punch for that and i love the way it turned out.

Please check out my You Tube tutorial which you can find the link below. I have also listed all the products i used in case you wish to buy any.

Thank you

Love
Ann xx
