Embossed Birthday

Morning.. I'm back for a second challenge this month as Guest Designer over at Less Is More.  This weeks challenge is Dry Embossing

Use your imagination and add some Dry Embossing to your card.. I went for dry embossing using a stencil from Simon Says Stamp.  Here is my card..

Morning... So Sarah talked me into joining in with the Less Is More 7th Birthday celebrations this month! After a couple of months off (I had an operation just before Christmas and it threw me out more than expected ) and the last 3 weeks in California I am looking forward to getting stuck back in to crafting.

This week the first of the birthday celebration challenged is

Here is my card..

I used one of the fabulous new boy images from lili of the valley and coloured it in with my copics.  Keeping to my clean and simple style I added a sentiment.

The next few months is going to be hectic... i'm on the last phase on a 3 year project with travel to the US until the end of April... then I get some normality to my life back!

In the shadows and some news

Morning LIMettes.. so firstly I have some news... I'm taking a break from Less Is More and from blogging/crafting for a while... Although I may pop up with a card every now and then I have so much going on with work and travel that something has to give and for the moment it is card making.

So this is my last Less Is More card for a while...

The theme this week is Shadows and I have created mine with die cute words on a Distress Oxide back ground ...

Spring Hop

Strength

Morning LIMettes another crazy week and no view of it stopping so still no crafting (luckily I was a few weeks ahead on DT cards)
It's one layer week at Less Is More and the theme is curves ... I went for a curve of flowers and curved edge of the card for a subtle approach

The stamps are from altenew (cannot link as I am still using phone for posts) and I stamped them using the Misti in pale ink first, added distress oxide inks over the approx areas using a dauber then put it back in the Misti and re stamped with onyx versa fine over the top ... really love the effect and the distress oxide inks are amazing on the coloured card base

I've got a 3 day work week this week so hopefully Easter weekend will mean I can get back into the studio and have some R&R

Happy Easter

Morning LIMettes

It's the first week of the month at Less Is More and we have a new sponsor with Lili Of The Valley and a colour challenge to use 3 pastels

I just had to use this mega seeet image how can you not love it!

I've not set foot in my craft room for pretty much 3 weeks now ... work has over taken my life due to some stuff that has happened which has meant long days and weekend working (I pretty have a policy I don't work weekend so that's how bad it actually is)
I'm hoping that this will ease off but for the next month it will be as bad !

Morning LIMettes, I have been away in Vienna this week with work so it's a little crazy. We have another challenge for you at less is more this week and it's to use a frame.  I still cannot get onto blogger using my laptop so iPad this time.
I could not resist using this cute chick from Stampin Up peeping out of the inserted frame !

Washi With Thanks

Morning LIMettes .... blogger is really not playing nice for me this week, I have had numerous issues logging into my account again so having to type this on my phone is not ideal

We have a new challenge at Less Is More this week and it's to use Washi tape on your card. If you are anything like me you have about 100 rolls just there to look pretty and never really be used!
I decided to try something a little different this week ... here is my card

I used four different washi tapes (3 from SU) and ripped tiny pieces and layered them straight into my card base. It's finished off with a sentiment from MFT cut out of teal card stock to match one of the washi tapes.

Unfortunately I'm having to work through this weekend .. acrelly busy time at work means there are not enough hours in the week

With Sympathy

Good Morning LIMettes, boy am I glad it's weekend it has been the longest work week for a while as we come to a pinnacle point in the project I am working on.  I've not had much time to craft or do anything else all week!

It's One Layer week over at Less Is More and the theme is Leaves.  I decided to use a great set from Stampin Up I had not managed to use yet and simply added some tone on tone green copic and a little dimension from Nuvo drops!

Birthday Wishes In Teal

Morning LIMettes, Hope you all had a great week.. Firstly, apologies as I did not get to visit many of you last week due to work commitments but hopefully this week will be a lot less manic.

It's a new month which means a new colour challenge at Less Is More and this week it's Mainly Teal. I went for an inky background and some emboss resist.. I seem to be a little obsessed with it at the moment!

Here is my card, I love the back ground adding more colour into the centre of the circles for a great effect.

New Home

Morning LIMettes, it's time for the final challenge of February and this week it's a Sketch over at Less Is More. Here is the sketch!

I used one of the up and coming trio images from LOTV which are released on the 28th! This is from the moving day trio in digi so it can be re-sized!

A simple chevron die for the strip and it's done!

Alpha

Morning LIMettes, It's time for a new challenge over at Less Is More and I went for something a little different on this weeks Alphabet theme challenge.

Sometimes I feel like all my cards just look the same so I am venturing out of my comfort zone and trying new things.  Here I got a little inky for this chalk board look with a fab back ground stamp and made it feminine with the felt flowers.

Happy 6th Birthday Less Is More

Morning LIMettes.. Can you believe that Less Is More has been going for 6 years.... It was the first challenge I ever took part in and has been such a big part of my crafting life for all this time.
From getting up at the crack of dawn to see how fast I could create... I'm sure me and Lizy were competing at one point, to joining Chrissie on the design team, leaving the team due to work commitments and finally coming back when Chrissie left at the end of last year.
It really has been a fabulous adventure in crafting, and although I do not gte to craft or blog as much anymore I love being part of this family.

We have a bumper month for you with a sponsor a week, a new look and of course this weeks challenge.

Firstly onto the challenge. This week is Colour week and we would like to see 3 adjacent hues from the colour wheel.  I must say I had so much fun making this card!

I went on the cool side with blues, purples and pinks.... here is my card

I found I was making cards that were simply all the same, so I am trying to venture out of my rutt and find my mojo again by trying new techniques and having some fun.
The background stamp from My Favourite things was heat embossed with white and then using distress inks I blended in the background.
