Christmas In July

Morning... First Christmas card of the year made from a panel I actually coloured in last year but never managed to do anything with.
I'm not normally this early but I'm still trying to empty the box of bits and pieces and this was in it so I thought I might as well make it into a card at least.

I created a panel using the poinsettia stamp from the retired Stampin Up Set Joyful Christmas. I stamped it multiple times and then coloured it in with distress oxides .  I added the sentiment from the set and then splatted the page with gold paint.
Its finished off with some gold german glass glitter and then mounted on a kraft card base.

That's all from me today

This is Your ...... Birthday Card

Morning... I have another card using a different stamp from the Birthday Wit Stampin Up set I used last week.  I absolutely love this card and the sentiment and have a couple of friends this would be perfect for... you know who you are!

I used the same method as the last card by using the MISTI and masking off each section with a post it note.  The only difference this time is I used Stampin Up markers instead of ink pads and I think it gives it a little bit of texture to the stamping.
I added some simple doodles around the edge and mounted the panel onto a card blank made from neenah desert storm card stock.

I'll be back soon with another card to share with you

Have a great day

Written In The Stars

Morning... I have one more card for you made from the Birthday Wit set from Stampin Up. I had stamped this out when I made the others but had done nothing with it.

The sentiment was stamped in black ink and then I coloured it in with copics in bright colours. I trimmed down the panel before adding some wooden star embellishments and a doodling around the edge.
The panel was then mounted onto a card base made from Bermuda Bay card stock from Stampin Up.  I finished it off by adding a little wink of stella onto the wooden stars.

Yesterday I went to the craft show in Bolton and then spent the rest of the day crafting my little heart out with stuff to show you over the next couple of weeks.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday

Nothing Says Happy Birthday Like....

Morning... I have a couple of cards using the now retired  Birthday Wit Stamp set from Stampin Up. I really loved the quirky sentiments in this set.

I made some really simple bright cards with one of the sentiments adding some simple doodles around the edges to finish it off.

I stamped the image using the MISTI, first masking off the Happy Birthday part to allow me to do it in a different colour.  I then masked of the part I had just stamped allowing me to add the different colour to the section of the stamp.

The card is finished off with a grey shadow around the image using a copic and some fancy doodles around the edge before being mounted on a card blank made of tempting turquoise card stock from Stampin Up.

The second one using lime green instead of blue and a change in the doodle around the edge of the card. I used Lucky Limeade Card stock from Stampin Up (I so wish they would bring it back as i'm hoarding it) as it matched the Altenew ink the closest.

I really enjoy making quick fun cards like this and they are perfect for last minute makes.

Hope you have a fab Wednesday!

Just Married

Morning... June really is wedding season and I have a couple to attend over the next few weeks so I thought I would share this little card I made for a friend who eloped a few weeks ago..

I kept this card really simple using the Wonderful Life set from Stampin Up. I stamped the image using my MISTI then added the additions to it... the cans and the number plate.
I stamped the Just Married onto a scrap of card stock and then fussy cut it out and added it onto the image using foam tape. I coloured it in using some pale grey copic markers as it looked a bit flat without the colour wash.

The white panel is then mounted flat onto a card base as it needed to be posted and arrive without getting squashed.

That's all from me for today... have a great Sunday

Elegance

Hello... Today I have a sympathy card for you today.. It's always the card you hate to make so I try to make a few and keep them in a box for if anyone needs them quickly.

I used the Flourishing Phrases set from Stampin Up to stamp the flowers at the top of the panel with nocturne versa Clair ink.  Once I ensured it was completely dry I carefully added some colour using my copic markers.

To add the sentiment I heat embossed the with sympathy sentiment from the same set in silver embossing powder on a scrap of vellum.  I then added this to the panel and mounted it on a black card base.

Its finished off with some clear Nuovo drop on the stamped image for a little bit of dimension and shine.

That's all from me for today... Have a great day

Fab at 40

Howdie ... I'm on a card making roll but today I am sharing another card from last year as I need to take photos and edit the rest of the cards when i get back off vacation.

I made this card for my friend Mel for her big birthday last year. I cut out the Stampin Up Large numbers framelits from glitter card stock and the swirly scribbles thin-let from Bermuda bay card stock.
I added the sentiment from CBS to a piece of white card stock and then added the die cuts onto the base.  The panel is then mounted on smoky slate card stock to finish it off.

Have a great day...

Sorry I'm Slow

Hey Y'all I have a quick card using a quirky set from Stampin Up.  I had made the distress oxide back ground a while ago whilst messing around and found it in the box of bits.

For the back ground I used Broken China distress oxide by stamping a clear block and then spraying with water and smooching onto the card panel.
I then stamped the Sloth from the Quirky Critters set from Stampin Up and coloured it in with Copics. I re-stamped it onto the background panel so the sentiment was on the background and then fussy cut the one I have coloured it layering it over the top with foam pads.

The card panel is then mounted onto a pistachio pudding card based.  I really do love this background effect.

That's all from me for today

Best Guy Ever

Hey Y'all... I'm off on vacation tomorrow and looking forward to a break away and some sunshine. I have scheduled posts whilst I am away as I have somehow become mega organised and have made enough cards plus found a few from last year I had not shared with you.

For this card I used a Stampin Up Sale-a-bration set called Epic Celebrations.... I love how it is perfect for those musical friends.
I stamped the image and the coloured in the guitar body only. I then fussy cut the image out.  For the panel I added a texture stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge set.  The sentiment is from the same set as the guitar.  the panel is then cut out using the pierced rectangles from Avery Elle before being mounted on a card blank made from black card stock.

That's all from me today... busy last day in the office ahead of me!

Best Wishes

Morning.. As I was going though what I wanted to sell a couple weeks ago I found this little gem from Stampin Up. It is called Blooms & Wishes and is retiring at the end of this month so I thought I better use it!

Using my MISTI I stamped sentiment and then the images over a back ground panel using Altenew inks. I then trimmed down the panel and mounted it onto a kraft card stock base.

I think I probably should have added some centers to the flowers now I look at the photo but love the colour combo.

That's all from me for today... I'll be back tomorrow with another card to share

This Little Piggy....

Morning... I've been practicing my colouring after my Copic 4 class with Faye a few weeks back and coloured in a load of images to turn into cards.

I love this piggy set from Stampin Up so thought I would colour in a couple of simple images for blending practice over a larger area...

I really love how the shading turned out on the pig, seems to have a glow to it.. although maybe I should have included some mud!

The image once coloured is mounted onto pistachio pudding card stock and then finished off with a little doodle stitch at the top and bottom of the card.

I've have really enjoyed getting back into crafting over the last few weeks since I have been back from the states.  I think I have made more cards in this time that in the whole of 2017!

Even though most of my crafting is limited to weekend I'm sneaking in little cards in the week where I can.

I'll be back later in the week... have a great day

Birthday Bear

Morning... I'm still working through the box of images and scraps and found this little bear which is part of a Stampin Up stamp called We Must Celebrate.

I fussy cut out the bear from the group of animals and then mounted him on a circle of soft sky and pear pizzazz card stock which has been cut using the Avery Elle pierced circle dies.
I then added a couple of clouds cut from an old memory box die and a sentiment from the Glamper Greetings also from Stampin Up.

That's all from me for today

Monkeying Around

Morning... weekend everyone.. I have a crazy day ahead of me but thought since I was up early that I would make a really quick card for this weeks CAS(e) This Sketch.  So quick in fact I forgot to add one of the lines back in ... ooopss....

I measure off 3 sections with a ruler and pencil and then stamped the monkeys from Mama Elephants Monkey Agenda onto the card panel base . After erasing the pencil lines I coloured them in with copics and added back the lines with a fine liner. The sentiment was then added to the bottom section using a clearly besotted set.
I then mounted the panel onto wild wasabi card stock from Stampin Up.

I tried to use this weeks CAS(e) this Sketch # 270 but somehow forgot to draw back in the middle line so hope you can still see my interpretation.

I'm off to the gym before setting off for Manchester for a gig tonight... Have a great Saturday!

You Snailed It

Morning.. Can you believe its May already.  I'm really not sure where this year has gone at all.

I am working my way through my un-used stamp sets and as we are coming up to exam season I thought this sentiment was perfect!

I have used the image and sentiment combo stamp from Stampin Ups Quirky Critters set (retiring). I stamped the image twice, once onto the panel and again onto a scrap of Neenah solar white so I can raise up the body of the snail.

I coloured in the one I was fussy cutting out with copic markers and added in some detail, then once cut out the image I mounted it on foam tape and added it onto the panel. The panel is then mounted onto Kraft card stock.

That's all from me today.. hope you have a great day

Festive Mouse

Morning... really quick Christmas card for you today using one of last years Stampin Up Christmas sets... I didn't actually get around to using it last Christmas so decided before I buy any more I should use what I have!

He is coloured in with copic markers and finished off with some paper piercing (very retro I know) and the sentiment from the set!

Thinking of 'You'

Morning all... I have a super cute little guy for you today in the form of this cute frog (can you see a pattern emerging here).  I happen to love both green and frogs and making this card last night was purely co-incidental to yesterdays post :-)

I though I would try colouring tone on tone for this card, something I'm not sure I have done before but I seem to have found my mojo and be back into the swing of it and trying new things.

Supplies

Busy day at work for me but I'll be back tomorrow with more inspiration for the Lili Of The Valley Facebook Challenge

Have a great Thursday

You Are Tougher... And Crafty Stash Sale!

Morning LIMettes.. I'm back again this week but before I show you my card.  I have been busy sorting out craft stash over the last couple of weeks and have decided that I should let some of it have a new home, so I have updated my For Sale page.  Just click on the banner below if you fancy a shopping spree....

There is a selection of stamps and quite a lot of Stampin Up which are new or hardly used!

Enough waffling anyhow. I was so happy when I saw the challenge.. One Layer Splats!  I love the gorgeous grunge set from Stampin Up and this was a perfect opportunity to use it!

This was actually my second attempt.. the first ended up with a black thumbprint (note to self, clean stampin scrub). I'll show you how I rescued it later in the week, but it was no longer one layer lol.

Supplies:

Have a fab Saturday! I've got the dentist, a spring clean and some gardening to do!

Sail Away On Your Birthday

Morning... I have used a favourite (unfortunately retired) Stampin Up stamp for today's card... Love the crisp lines and simplicity of it. Paired up with a single bright colour, I think it works.

Supplies

Plus the retired 'Sail Away' stamp from Stampin Up.

Back to work today for me so I better get on with it... Have a great Tuesday
