Quirky Challenge #2 - The 3 B's, Birds, Bugs and Butterflies

Hello everyone!

Gemma here and I want to wish you all a Happy New Year.  I hope that 2014 is good for you all....

I am really quite excited because this is my FIRST challenge.  I had a great time trying to choose the theme for my challenge.  I decided on the 3 B's because I love seeing Birds and Butterflies flying around my garden. It brightens up the day, especially after a long, cold, winter when it means that spring is finally on its way.

I have used the image "lady bug trio" with the sentiment,"best friends"...along with the bugs pattern paper at the back.i have also cut out the heads,of the bugs to give it a 3d look and have

embellished the card using my handmade paper rose. i hope you like it,

It was my turn set the theme this month, and I decided on the 3Bs - Birds, Butterflies and Bugs,

The lovely images were provided by Paper Pretties.  I chose 'Frank, Blossoms and Butterflies, and the sentiment'.

I chose to do a round, wooden wall plaque.  I coloured the background using 'Golden' Paints, and coloured the images using Dylusions Inks.

I also added some metal embellishments and painted over them, then highlighted them with Treasure Gold.

I wanted it to be bright and cheerful, to get us through these cold and wet winter months.....I love the images we have been provided for this challenge.  They were easy to work with and so much fun...

For this card I used the digi "April"  and the sentiment "April Rainbow" from Paper Pretties. The ribbons are from crafty ribbons.

And for this Happy Birthday card I used the "Butterfly 4" and the "Toucan" from Limited Runs. The ribbons are from a ribbon bag that is currently in the Crafty Ribbons sale, the whole bag cost just £1!

I've used all the B's. Some ladybird papers that were freeies from a magazine. A butterfly sticker also a mag freebie and  this lovely Bert the Owl digi from Limited Runs! The butterfly ribbon was from my local store. I coloured the white and pink flowers with a bluebell promarker so the colours would match the 3D owl.

Hello again. A new challenge also I must say with a beautiful theme. In this case, I made a very colorful card, which I applied the image  Birtle - Digi   from Paper Pretties, our great sponsor. I used my Promarkers to color this image, then cut and layered it and finally I used some ribbon. Hope to see your beautiful creations!

I love humming birds. 

For me they represent freedom because humming birds can´t live in a cage.

For this project I used the Limited Runs humming bird digi. I colored it with Spectrum Noir pens and then used the humming bird to embellish a wine glass filled with water and a spray rose in the bottom.

I am really looking forward to seeing your creations.  you can make any project as long as you include The 3 B's....
