Jennifer has added some unusual rosettes to her pretty card featuring Siannie. Many apologies from Cazzy for putting your name against Geesje's card initially.

Geesje.

Geesje used Siannie with Happy Circle Sentiments on her pretty card, and added a ribbon rosette, and some of her trademark pretty stitching.
Many apologies from Cazzy for putting Jennifer's name with your card (blush).

Gabriela.

Gaby used Cartoon illustration of a happy boy in a wheelchair on this fun ornament with paper rosettes. Gaby said "My project is a table decoration that can be used for a birthday or some similar occasions, hope you like it." Gaby - we love it!

MYRIAM

For my card I chose the digi Home made love from our sponsor Stitchy Bear Stamps

For this week project, I made a tag with a huge flower shaped rosette, perfect to match with the adorable Siannie from Kaz Kraftz and provided by our generous sponsor.

Hi!! To this week I made a step card. I used the beautiful Mz Emolie - Flapper,  provided by our sponsor,

I used a rosette, flowers, a butterfly and many crystals.

Cazzy

First I must apologise for the post going out late, this is entirely my fault - I accidentally left the post open while I worked on my late card. I must also apologise to our Guest Designers - got totally muddled adding their makes and attributed Geesje's card to Jennifer and missed Jennifer's out completely - so sorry ladies!
I love Ike's cats as you know, and I used Cushion Kitty and gave her a crown, so she could be queen for a day (or king for a day) using Coronet. I die cut my rosette. I added Liquid Pearls and Stickles glitter glue to the coronet, and image is coloured with ProMarkers.

Challenge #13 Reminder - Some Quirky Stencils and/or Masks/masking!

It's reminder time and Gemma wants to see projects with stencils or masks used, or feature a mask, or masked character.

You have until Saturday 5th July midday to join in the fun and maybe win a prize!

Here is a reminder of our three great sponsors and prizes this time.

Our First Prize is sponsored by Paper Pretties
Paper Pretties
the winner will receive six images of your choice

Second prize is sponsored by Limited Runs
Limited Runs
with 3 images of your choice
and the
Third prize is sponsored by Robyn's Fetish

Robyn's Fetish
with 1 digi image of your choice!

Now for some more inspiration from the team.

First up is Cindy, you may remember that Cindy was one of our 8 challenge team members who kindly agreed to carry on for a second term to cover team illness - well when we heard that our wonderful Doris was leaving us (only two challenges later) we asked Cindy if she would like to join the team - and she agreed! She is so keen that she has joined in the reminder for this challenge although she officially starts with the next challenge!

I had fun using Clover by Paper Pretties for this challenge.  Such a cute pup!  I coloured him with watercolour crayons and a water brush, then accented him with metallic pens.  My blog will have more info.

Did I have fun with this project!  It fought me, but in the end I won!  This is an 8x10 Multi Media page with layers of stencils and hand decorated paper.  Also using the Clover image from Paper Pretties. Visit my blog for more details...

MONICA

For this reminder I used the cute "Garner" provided by our sponsor Paper Pretties.
For the brick circle background a used the "reverse mask" technique that I learned from a Jennifer McGuire tutorial that I found here and a brick circle mask that I cut with my Cameo.
Garner was colored with Spectrum Noir pens.
        Lyn

This is my creation for the reminder.  I've used a digi from Limited Runs. I printed out three images, coloured  one with Promarkers, cut out one of the others and used it as a 'mask' over the first digi so I could spray it with Cosmic Shimmers and not get any of the paint on the digi you can see. I've cheated again with the stencil (you don't have to have both on your creations) and used a stencil freebie font called GASMASK.

Inside I've added the digi I used as the mask, and as you can see she's splattered with blood! I mean, Cosmic Shimmer!

I'm late, I have a really good excuse and if you want to know why I will explain on my blog!
I really enjoyed playing with my new spritzer to create an air brushed effect last week, and decided to do it again! I am not great at it, but it sort of worked! So I used Grafitti from Paper Pretties cut another one to mask the first one and then used a stencil by Creative Expressions of a scene with clouds, sun and roof tops. I sprayed the sky in various shades of blue and then with the first stencil and mask still in place I used a Prima stencil to create air-brushed rain drops - you need sun and rain to create a rainbow! I removed the stencils and mask and coloured the image with Promarkers, cut and matted it and added one of the sentiments that comes with it and a bit of ribbon.

Challenge #13 It's A Quirky Stencil and/or Masks Challenge!

Hi Quirky Guys! Lyn here. For those of you who would like to know who won the last challenge click HERE or scroll down to the  post below. Are you ready for another Quirky Challenge? It's Gemma's turn to set the theme, but she's having a bit of time out, so I'm here telling you all about it! It's simple! We would love to see your crafty creations using a Stencil or Stencils to create maybe your background, or the main picture or anything you like using any crafting medium you like and/or a Mask! Make a mask! Use a stamped image or a digi wearing a mask, use some backing paper with masks on it,  or do a bit of masking, it's completely up to you. We have some fabulous sponsors for this challenge with some fantastic prizes!

Our First Prize is sponsored by

Third prize is sponsored by
Robyn's Fetish

Robyn's Fetish
with 1 digi image of your choice!

Sadly we are saying goodbye to Doris, she has decided that it is time to go. We will miss her lots and her wonderful projects and challenges. Good luck in the future Doris, and we hope to see you entering our challenges and keeping in touch!

Here's some inspiration from our Guest Designers:

Susanne used Alexandree from Limited Runs on her great tag and...

....Cooper Bathtime from Paper Pretties with a fabulous splash and bubble background and Susanne said "I created a bookmark and a page for a mini album. I used stencils from The Crafters Workshop and also one of Tim Holtz."

Fliss features Hannah from Limited Runs and said "I’ve used a Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 Stencil For Art called Never Enough Hearts with Distress inks round the corners of my background paper which I made with an ink applicator and Distress inks."
and Graffitti from Paper Pretties, Fliss said "I used a homemade rainbow stencil and used Distress inks. It was inspired by the sentiment which came with the set."

And from our Design Team....

I used Emily with Huggle from Limited Runs. I coloured her with Promarkers, masked her and airbrushed the background with a Memory Box stencil also with Promarkers. I will have another card to show you soon using a Paper Pretties image. The sentiment is by Penny Black, how do you wrap a hug?

For my card, I made a stencil with regular acetate cut with my Cameo. I used the Studio software settings to cut "stencil silhouette brand" and it works fine with regular acetate. Then I made a background with two coats of Twinkling H2O´s -I used mediterranean and teal zircon colors- and a final coat with Guesso.

This is a closer look of the background and the lovely "Nadia" provided by our sponsor Limited Runs. I colored Nadia with Spectrum Noir and add a 3d touch with pattern paper in her body.

Lyn

Here's my make, I've used Super Cooper from Paper Pretties (for my mask) and, a bit of a cheat...for my stencil, I've used 'Top Secret' freebie font  which looks like a stencil!

Inside there's a little place to add some birthday money and I've added  circle to add some birthday wishes.
That's it! Looking forward to seeing all your creations!

Winners of Everybody wants to be a cat, challenge #13

Thank you all for entering the challenge with your lovely creations, so many cats - and one pig!

I don't really believe in bad luck, but was it because it was number 13 that nobody got the part about relating their project to the film or song, and I mean not only a cat but music, instruments, roof tops, the other characters from the film or song. Well if anyone did do that they didn't tell us about it and it wasn't obvious at all.

We picked out our favourite top 6, added together the scores and these are the resulting top three:

In first place Tracey M with ther very elaborate cat lady card.
Congratulations Tracey, you have won 5 images of your choice from:

In second place Leeann who used one of our own Spyder Lyn's digis, and as well as the second most votes, got voted as best by my husband, who hasn't a clue who drew what! This is a lovely cheerful card with lots of layers and detail.
Congratulations Leeann, you have won a $5 voucher from:

In third place by just one point is Kali with her shadow box card and cute kitten stamp.
Congratulations Kali, you have won 3 digis of your choice from:

We would like to thank both of our sponsors for once more providing us with some great prizes.

Our runner up is Marina, who did mention she was singing the song and her card does feature a wall!

Congratulations Marina, you get a runner's up badge to display on your blog.

To collect your prizes and badges please contact me (Cazzy) by email using the email link in the right hand side bar. We really hope you can join us as Guest Designers too, either in two weeks time or later, please tell me if you can.

Don't forget to come back later (6pm) to find out about the new challenge!
