Design Team

MONICA

I`m not a Halloween fan, but I love Autumn. It is my favorite color palette. For my make I used this beautiful silhouette "Tending The Vines" design by Floppy Latte and provided by our generous sponsor.
This is my idea for this challenge, I made a frame, because I love it. I used the lovely and cute image Edward & Bella, provided for our sponsor Stitchy Bear.

I made a Halloween treat box using the lovely witch Hang Tite.

Sorry I'm late again, I was away with family for the weekend and busy last week so I didn't get my card made in time.
I used two of IkeSart images merged to make my dungeon scene: Castle Room and Skelly Gossip. To this I added some bat sequins and some Tim Holtz spiders and webs and the sentiment.

MYRIAM

Hi everyone!!! I used the image Posh Betty from our sponsor.
Now I have a beautiful gift bag!!!

For my project today, I chose the image Set Sail Steampunk Style by Kelly Rhodes  courtesy of our amazing sponsor The Craft Place Ltd. As you can see, the image includes hats, very unique indeed. I used to finishes Spectrum Noir and Watersoluble Metallic Pencils Derwent. Additionally I used some sentiments and  wood and cardboard embellishments.

I really like Steampunk and the beautiful Set Sail Steampunk Style was a real colouring challenge for me. I had a lot of fun making this card and adding all those chains and gears, trying to preserve steampunk typical dark colors. Definitely "The World of imagination is boundless".

Hi everybody! To this reminder I used the beautiful  digi Posh Betty.
In this card I used a lovely hat also the sketch.
She looks wonderful with your new puppy with her hat.

This sweet little baby rag doll is by Meljen, and you can't get the digi any longer because the digi shop has closed. I have loosely followed the sketch and added real stitching to go with the image.

Our Designer Team

MYRIAM

Hi! For this challenge I used Victorian Goth Boy from our sponsor Meljens Design.

DORIS

Hello eveyone. I decided to make the sketch card, using the Betty Boots from our amazing sponsor That Craft Place.

For this sketch challenge, I chose the lovely Little Lady Claire provided by our generous sponsor Meljen's Designs . I try to adapt the sketch to my own style and I`m really pleased with the result.

Hi everyone! For this sketch challenge I used the beautiful Little girl bear hugs.
of our sponsor Meljen's Designs . It's adorable, I put a very little hat in the bear.
He have a sailor hat, which I think makes it look even sweeter.

I loved how the bear is wearing his hat.

Cazzy
I used Sugar's Doggies from Ditzie Designs for my card - 50% of the profit goes to the Manchester Dog's home, and coloured her with Koh I Noor pencils. I don't have a hat so I followed the sketch. The paw print ribbons are a Crafty Ribbons exclusive.

Challenge #2 Through the Quirky Window

To see who won the last challenge click HERE or scroll down to the next post.

Welcome back everyone, although I am posting this challenge it is actually set by Doris who is away in the USA at CHA right now, lucky Doris.

The challenge is not about windows in your house, it is about apertures in cards and any other projects, or holes! You can have a big aperture, or small, or many small apertures, as long as we can see through those holes. They can be apertures in a layer of your card or project, so we can see something underneath, a different colour perhaps, a pattern or words or an embellishment.

The sponsor for this challenge is:
who is generously providing all three prizes, and provided the team with some great cutting files to use.

Prizes:
1st prize 3 sets of winner's choice
2nd prize 2 sets of winner's choice
3rd prize 1 set of winner's choice
You get a lot in any of the file sets at the Cutting Cafe, either cutting files or printables so you can see these are great prizes.

Now for some inspiration from our guest designers:

2 month Guest Designer

LORI

A simple and quick card for the man in your life. Made by hand cutting the squares (using the PDF version of the cutting files for people who don't have cutting machines) from the Cutting Cafe template and adding punched hearts so they show from the outside and the inside.

Here is some more inspiration from the team:

I used Word Bubble Left from the Everyday Shapes Window Card Tops file which I cut by hand, with a sentiment from the Birthday Fun file under the window, and a Monster from the Bunch of Monsters file, haha I see more monsters on Monica's card!

Doris

For my tag I used Window Cards by our sponsor The Cutting Cafe!!

For this week project, I chose one of the Everyday Shapes Window Card Tops provided by our sponsor, with a lot of circles. Those circles were the perfect windows to show this adorable monsters from "Bunch of Monsters" a set of digital stamps also provided by The Cutting Cafe. The lovely sentiment is part of the same monsters set, I traced it and cut it in vinyl.

Hi every body! In this week I made a card, I used EVERYDAY SHAPES WINDOW CARD TOPS. I love the butterflies in the cutting file.

I took the silhouette of butterflies to decored inside of the card. Also, I used Distress Ink, gel pen and a small fabric flower in this project. =)

I think you can work out what my card is about, the song With a little help from my friends by the legendary John Lennon. The image is Pierre and Ernest from Paper Pretties, and as soon as I saw the quote that came with the image, it comes with a few sentiments, I knew I had to use this image and sentiment for my thanks card.

This week's reminder project is inspired by a 70´s Australian TV series "Skippy The Bush Kangaroo".
When I was a little girl I loved that TV series and always made me want a kangaroo for a pet.
This lovely kangaroo is "Kanku" provided by our generous sponsor Paper Pretties.
It is colored with a mix of Spectrum Noir pens and Prismacolor pencils.

Hi people!! This week my project is inspired by the movie  "It's a wonderful life", (1946).

To my project I used Astra, the beautiful digi from our generous sponsor Paper Pretties. I remember  to Clarence angel, George Bailey friend's. Also I make a Vintage Lantern to hope for better times. My project is coloured with acuarelable pencils.

Lyn
