Quirky Crafts challenges are posted on a Sunday at 18:00 UK time, and are fortnightly. We also post a reminder on the Sunday between challenges.
We are a small international team of up to 6 people, plus guest designers (who were challenge winners). We are happy to showcase sponsor's images or products where required. We make sure that all the sponsor's images are showcased over the two weeks of the challenge.
We are happy to have sponsors who will give tangible prizes, or digital images, and we can use our own supplies where no sponsor products are provided.
Sponsors can either:
send the images to the challenge coordinator (Cazzy) who will send the team members their chosen image, and send an image to guests to use, and will make sure all the images are used.
We do not use random picking of winners, the team each vote on their top 6 and the votes are aggregated to find the top three winners for each challenge.
We give three prizes per challenge, first, second and third prize. Sponsors can either joint sponsor a challenge, and give one or two of the three prizes. Alternatively sponsors can give all three prizes and have exclusive sponsorship of a challenge.
The sponsorship schedule is devised around October/November/December for the following year. Sponsors will be sent a list of their dates. Challenge dates will be allocated to design team members who are responsible for setting the theme, challenge themes for most of the challenges will be set during the year, and sometimes this is determined by the images available for showcasing.
Links to the sponsor's shop or site will be added to the challenge sidebar, in addition blog links will be added, and during a challenge links to the sponsor and the images used will be added to the posts.
A photo album will be set up for each challenge on our Facebook page, with sponsor's logo's and some of the team's makes. Sponsors will also be promoted and their facebook page links posted to the facebook page during a challenge.
Each of the team also has their own blog, where they will blog about the challenge with links back to Quirky Crafts Challenge blog and the sponsor.
If the sponsor wishes us to include examples by their own DT we will.
We can pass winner's emails with the details and link to the challenge, and what they won. To save sponsor's time we can ask the winner to choose images and pass those to the sponsor, or we can pass on a voucher code to the winner to use. Whichever method the sponsor prefers is fine by us.
