Welcome to Quirky Crafts Challenges

Welcome to Quirky Crafts Challenges the place where any craft project is allowed.

We're a small design team with big inspiration.

On the first Sunday of the month, at 6pm UK time, we will set a new challenge which will close on the 28th of that month at midday. The DT will pick their top three favourites and you could win a prize and join us as a Guest Designer. Winners are posted on the first Sunday in the month (midday usually) before the new challenge - don't forget to come and check if you are a winner.

GUEST DESIGNERS

 2 MONTH GUEST DESIGNER

DEBORAH

I used Drivers Ed by StitchyBear stamps from StitchyBear Digital Outlet Store. Made a penny slider card using DCWV Vintage Paper stack and yellow gems.

DESIGN TEAM

For my reminder project I made a Diamond Shape Card and I used
this great digi Lamborghini from Stitchy Bear.

In our crops, we always make jokes about our brooms. So this was my inspiration to make a Smash Book page with an usual transportation mean and a picture of my really crazy friends. The digi is "Halloween broom" and the sentiment is from "Designated driver" pack, both provided by our generous sponsor Stitchy Bear Stamps.

This week I made a card using the Transportation Stamp Pack from our sponsor  Sitchy Bear Stamps. I painted the image using the Spectrum Noir, and I also used an embossed plate, distress ink and a sentiment.

Hi! For this week I made a masculine card with
the elegant Steampunk Ship Digital Stamp and Paper Pack,
of our sponsor Stitchy Bears.
To make this card I was inspired by the stories of Jules Verne,
I placed the ship in the sky, like the fantastic voyages
that the author told us their stories.

I used Coosty Creations Buddy Time to make this birthday card, I've added some charms, die cut sentiment and ribbons - the horse ribbon is exclusively available from Crafty Ribbons.

Inside the card the panels are punched with horse punches.

Hi!....I´m Myriam. For this new challenge
we want to see your creativity and your beautiful projects!

3rd prize: any 2 of DT´s chosen images

GUEST DESIGNERS

Chrissy used the lovely Buddy Time by Coosty Creations. A horse is transport of course!

Willeke used Drivers Ed by Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps and made a pretty easel card.

2 MONTH GUEST DESIGNER

I used Boy Riding Skateboard from StitchyBear Digital Outlet Store by Ken Benner and Distress Markers and water colored the background.

DESIGN TEAM

For my trip I made a suitcase, and I used this great digi BSA Silhouette
from our sponsor Stitchy Bear Stamps

For my project I made a multifolded card with the beautiful digi "Air Balloons" provided by our sponsor. I used a blue color combo to make this card masculine.

KEMLY

Hi everyone! For this week, for my project I made a lovely card with the beautiful digi
"Bride Carriage", from our sponsor.  In this card, I remember the arrival of a bride at her wedding. A loving way to use the means of transport .

CAZZY
I thought that Designated Driver by Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps would be perfect for a thank you card for my Dad who has driven us to hospital a couple of times recently for appointments. The drink part of it doesn't apply but I liked the ticket so used it anyway. My Dad might be offended - he isn't bald!
Designated driver is a pack that comes with the digi of the driver, two or three different background papers, I have used one of them here, and several different tickets.

Surprise - it's an easel card! I used ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, with some cute little car buttons to make it stand up, and die cut the word "thanks" with IO dies.

DORIS
I just want to say I´m sorry, I´m late. I was at the hospital for the weekend. So, for this time I made a card using the Transportation Stamp Pack from our generous sponsor  Sitchy Bear Stamps. In addition to stamp I used Distress Ink from Tim Holts in some different colors and a metal embellishment.
