The
discussion is interesting though (at +5 filtering). Some of the standard fallacies are brought up (and occasionally demolished):
- All useful CS research was done in the 70s
- We don't need no stinkin' guvmint: a teenage hacker can do better
- Why should DARPA fund academic research
- Why do CS researchers needs tons of money anyway ? All they do is think !
