Adam Sandler Reveals What Made Him Decide to Get Slimed at Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards 2019

Movie star Adam Sandler recently revealed what made him decide to get slimed at Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards in 2019!

The Saturday Night Live alum has close relationships with both of his daughters, Sadie Madison Sandler and Sunny Madeline Sandler, even listening to their advice when it comes to some of his big live television appearances.

Ahead of the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, Adam actually turned down the opportunity to get slimed on-air. However, his youngest daughter’s reaction led him to reconsider getting covered in the famous green goo. 

“They asked if I wanted to get slimed and I said no, and then [Sunny] goes, ‘You said no?!’” he previously recalled to Ellen DeGeneres. “So, I changed my mind real quick just to make her happy.”

The seven-time KCA winner received Nickelodeon's highest honor at the annual slimefest whilst accepting the "Favorite Male Voice from an Animated Movie" Orange Blimp trophy for his work as Dracula on Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation. Relive the moment below!:

Kristen Bell Wins 2020 Webby Special Achievement Honor for Hosting '#KidsTogether: The Nickelodeon Town Hall'

Actor Kristen Bell (The Good Place, Frozen, Veronica Mars) has picked up the "Webby Special Achievement" award in the 24th annual Webby Awards, which honor the best of the web! Bell was awarded the Webby award for her incredible positivity and use of her digital platform to help children understand the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, including hosting #KidsTogether: The Nickelodeon Town Hall.

The winners of the 2020 Webby Awards were honored during an online celebration dubbed WFH: Webby From Home, hosted by Patton Oswalt (The Goldbergs, King of Queens). The Webbys said this year's event is dedicated to "honoring outstanding individuals and organizations who are using the Internet in response to the incredible difficulties imposed by the coronavirus pandemic."

In addition to Bell, Nickelodeon also picked received several honors in the 2020 Webby Awards, for the network's Noggin SVOD app, SpongeBob SquarePants and Nick Jr. YouTube channels, Kids’ Choice Awards 2019 edition of the Screens Up App, the Nickelodeon Animation Instagram page, and the Nickelodeon TikTok channel.

TeenNick USA to Air Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards Abu Dhabi on Monday, December 30, 2019

TeenNick USA will premiere Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards Abu Dhabi 2019, the first-ever fully localised Kids' Choice Awards held in the Middle East, on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT)! The special will give viewers a exclusive chance to see how the iconic Kids' Choice Awards are celebrated in another part of the world. Following its premiere, TeenNick will encore KCA AD on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT).

Nickelodeon and the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi delivered on their commitment to bring the leading kids’ brand’s slimiest, wildest show to the city to the delight of fans across the Middle East. In September, the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Abu Dhabi 2019 lit up the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The night featured stunning performances and stunts, including a mash-up of hits by global superstar and event host, Jason Derulo, including his latest hit, Mamacita, the sliming of co-host Haifa Beseisso, and performances by Conor Maynard, Maritta and al-Waleed Hallani, Nora Fatehi and Fnaire, Dyler and Egyptian star Mohamed Hamaki. Kids’ favorite artists and talent were crowned across 16 entertainment categories.

PERFORMANCES

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Abu Dhabi 2019 featured seven musical performances from global and regional stars:

• Jason Derulo, the global superstar with 17 multi-platinum singles to his name, kicked off the night with a high-energy mashup of some of his greatest hits including Mamacita, Colors, Swalla, and Want To Want Me.
• Maritta was introduced by Jason and gave a moving performance of her hit Ana.
• Dancer, model and singer Nora Fatehi was joined by Moroccan band Fnaire for a stunning Arabic performance of her song Dilbar.
• Saudi Arabian singer and social media sensation Dyler arrived in a bright red sports car and then walked through the crowd singing his hit Samoly.
• Lebanese star al-Waleed Hallani followed with a rendition of his hit song Aam Yessalo, and was promptly slimed to the delight of the audience.
• British singer, songwriter and YouTuber Conor Maynard performed in a medley of his hits Turn Around, Waste Your Time, Hate How Much I Love You.
• Platinum Egyptian artist and Arabian superstar Mohamed Hamaki closed the night delighted fans with Ya Sattar.

Nick India Announces Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2019 India Nominations

Nickelodeon India has announced the nominees for Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2019 India!

Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2019 India is India's most unique award show, and celebrates kids’ favorites from the worlds of movies, television and more! Like previous years, Nickelodeon's fifth Kids' Choice Awards 2019 India will feature lots of Bollywood Superstars setting the stage on fire with India's favourite Nicktoons! The host of KCA 2019 India, along with the venue and date of when the most awaited kids award show comes to life and the events TV air date will be announced in the coming weeks.

Update (19/12) - Nickelodeon will announce the winners of Kids' Choice Awards 2019 India, sponsored by Yellow Diamond and Apis, at a star-and-slime studded ceremony in Mumbai on Friday 20th December 2019! The awards will air not only on the Nickelodeon franchise, but also on Colors, Rishtey, Colors regional network and Voot starting Friday 5th January 2020.

To be hosted by the actor and comedian Varun Sharma, the main attractions of the evening will be performances by Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan and Bhumi Pednekar.

Actor Bhumi Pednekar, who has never failed to excite the audience, from choosing incredible scripts to being vocal about climate change with the striking climate warrior campaign, is set to make her debut at the KCA awards.

NickHeads across India can now cast their votes across 12 categories for who they want to win a coveted orange blimp via the newly launched VOOT Kids app - available to download on iOS and Play Store - and Jio TV. Voting for KCA 2019 India opened on Friday 15th November 2019 at 7:00am and will close on Friday 13th December 2019 at 8:00pm.

Nickelodeon UK to Air Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards Abu Dhabi on Saturday 4th January 2020

Nickelodeon UK & Ireland will premiere Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards Abu Dhabi 2019, the first-ever fully localised Kids' Choice Awards held in the Middle East, on Saturday 4th January 2020 at 8:00pm! The special will give viewers a exclusive chance to see how the iconic Kids' Choice Awards are celebrated in another part of the world.

Following its debut, Nick UK & Eire will encore Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards Abu Dhabi 2019 on Sunday 5th January 2020 at 10:00pm.

Nickelodeon and the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi delivered on their commitment to bring the leading kids’ brand’s slimiest, wildest show to the city to the delight of fans across the Middle East. In September, the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Abu Dhabi 2019 lit up the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The night featured stunning performances and stunts, including a mash-up of hits by global superstar and event host, Jason Derulo, including his latest hit, Mamacita, the sliming of co-host Haifa Beseisso, and performances by Conor Maynard, Maritta and al-Waleed Hallani, Nora Fatehi and Fnaire, Dyler and Egyptian star Mohamed Hamaki. Kids’ favorite artists and talent were crowned across 16 entertainment categories.

PERFORMANCES

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Abu Dhabi 2019 featured seven musical performances from global and regional stars:

• Jason Derulo, the global superstar with 17 multi-platinum singles to his name, kicked off the night with a high-energy mashup of some of his greatest hits including Mamacita, Colors, Swalla, and Want To Want Me.
• Maritta was introduced by Jason and gave a moving performance of her hit Ana.
• Dancer, model and singer Nora Fatehi was joined by Moroccan band Fnaire for a stunning Arabic performance of her song Dilbar.
• Saudi Arabian singer and social media sensation Dyler arrived in a bright red sports car and then walked through the crowd singing his hit Samoly.
• Lebanese star al-Waleed Hallani followed with a rendition of his hit song Aam Yessalo, and was promptly slimed to the delight of the audience.
• British singer, songwriter and YouTuber Conor Maynard performed in a medley of his hits Turn Around, Waste Your Time, Hate How Much I Love You.
• Platinum Egyptian artist and Arabian superstar Mohamed Hamaki closed the night delighted fans with Ya Sattar.
