LIVE: Smichas Beis Hashoeva in Crown Heights - 6:30PM
Charidy.com/SBH
Originating as a modest band on top of 770 Benches four decades ago, Smichas Beis Hashoeva in Crown Heights during Sukkos now boasts a full-band extravaganza with nightly attendance in the thousands. This celebration has become an integral part of the Crown Heights community, drawing in locals and Tishrei guests alike.
Guided by Rabbi Yisroel Shemtov - under the directive of the Rebbe - since its inception, this year's event promises an exciting children's program and nightly entertainment with performances by prominent bands and singers. We anticipate the largest turnout to date, both in-person and through an extensive online viewership. Smichas Beis Hashoeva stands not only as a well-known phenomenon but also as a cornerstone of the Crown Heights community.
While it may seem that these events just materialize every year, the reality is that orchestrating them requires significant planning and resources. The budget exceeds $100,000. To cover the expenses, we are turning to YOU to take part in this amazing Zechus!

LIVE: Simchas Beis Hashoeva in Crown Heights
Tonight at 7:30 pm the annual Simchas Beis Hashoeva celebration will begin with a Mega Kids' Program with Rabbi Levi Goldstein and featuring Mitzvah Boulevard.
Thousands of guests have joined the Crown Heights community for Tishrei in this Hakhel year, creating the largest Simchas Beis Hashoeva in years.
The annual Simchas Beis Hashoeva celebration which takes place in the streets of Crown Heights is expected to be bigger than ever this year.
Longtime organizer Rabbi Yisroel Shemtov, who has been arranging and funding the celebration for over 40 years, has once again ensured a nightly celebration over Chol Hamoed, featuring the biggest stars in Jewish music.
Simchas Beis Hashoeva draws tens of thousands of Jews of all walks of life to Crown Heights. Due to the overflow of the many guests who came to celebrate Hakhel, Simchas Beis Hashoeva will be expanding to the Crown Street intersection of Kingston Avenue, organizers said.
“This allows for more visibility of the stage, and more space for dancing,” they said.
Simchas Beis Hashoeva events were very precious to the Rebbe. The Rebbe encouraged the Chassidim to celebrate each night, and increase the Simcha. Exciting plans for Simchas Beis Hashoeva during this Hakhel year include an exciting children’s program and a full band.

Mike Pompeo, David Friedman visit Netanyahu's Sukkah
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu hosted Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman at the Prime Minister’s Residence in Jerusalem Friday morning and gave Pompeo a brief tour of the residence’s sukkah.
Pompeo, who recently visited Ankara, Turkey for talks which culminated in a ceasefire agreement in northern Syria, landed in Israel Thursday night, during the Sukkot festival.
On Friday, Pompeo joined Ambassador Friedman at the Prime Minister’s Residence in Jerusalem to discuss with Netanyahu the ceasefire deal, and other major issues facing the region, key among them ongoing efforts against Iranian aggression.
At the end of the meeting, Netanyahu showed Pompeo the residence’s sukkah, or temporary booth, built for the Sukkot holiday.
“Since you’re visiting here on the holiday of Sukkot, we sit in the sukkah during the Feast of Tabernacles. We remember what it was like when we didn’t have a permanent home,” said Netanyahu.
“We sit here to have our family meals and visitors sit here in the Sukkah.”
“When you put the [schach] on the top, it is supposed to be porous enough so that you can see the stars. One problem is what do you do when it rains? The answer is you go in.”
