Gad Elbaz National Anthem at Barclays Center

The NY Islanders celebrated Chanukah at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday night, December 25, 2016, with an appropriately frosty reception — lighting up a menorah carved out of ice. Israeli music superstar Gad Elbaz sang the national anthem before the game.

Gad Elbaz feat. Nissim - L'chaim

An unplanned trip to an antique store catapults Israeli singing sensation Gad Elbaz back through the generations to a 19th century Ukrainian shtetl, a simpler time and place where, despite the lack of modern conveniences, happiness was all around for the taking.

L’chaim, a Sparks Next production by filmmaker Daniel Finkelman, is a joyous expression in contrasts, as energy and nostalgia, klezmer and hip hop and past and present come together in an exuberant celebration of life. Elbaz finds himself warmly welcomed by villagers and their rabbi, rapper Nissim Black, and together they capture the euphoria of days gone by, where all you needed to be happy was a big smile and a hearty glass of spirits on which to make a heartfelt L’chaim.

In a world where we find ourselves overscheduled and overburdened by gadgets designed to make our lives easier, L’chaim captures the purity of days gone by and our deep longing for the most elusive goal of all, true happiness.

L’chaim is the featured song of Gad’s brand new album also titled “L’chaim”

Concert Stage Turns into Wedding Chupa

When performer Gad Elbaz took the stage at a recent concert in Brooklyn, the crowd was primed for his upbeat popular songs such as "Hashem Melech" and others.

Elbaz's voice then accompanied the transformation of the stage into a setting of a wedding ceremony. It came as a complete surprise to many in the crowd when a white Chuppah canopy was placed center stage.

The Chosson Pesach Charni and Kalah Avigail Chazin, descendants of Holocaust survivors, agreed to share their special day and the joy of their wedding with the thousands in attendance, highlighting Jewish survival and continuity.

While getting married on stage is not what Avigail and Pesach had planned, when they heard that the show's producers wanted to have a wedding during the show, "It just all came together," the bride said.

Je Suis Juif - Shai Barak & Friends - Music Video

Exactly a year has passed, yet the memories of the victims killed during the terrorist attack at "Hyper Cacher" (Kosher supermarket) in Paris, have not been forgotten. Veteran Israeli musician Shai Barak decided to produce a music video using the slogan: Je Suis Juif – that became the symbol of the attack around the world and especially in France.

Barak approached popular Jewish singers from across the globe, and together they recorded a pop song, that they hope will send out a message of Jewish unity. The song was written and sung in 3 languages: Hebrew, English and of course French.

All the singers from around the world filmed themselves using smart-phones in "SELFIE" format. The clip hopes to be the first Jewish Selfie music video, and unite Jews from all denominations around the world.
