The second point is concerned
with the different aspects of the various portions of
the speech, that is, the exordium, statement of facts,
arguments and peroration. The third concerns the
thoughts, which will vary according to the subject
matter and the emotions which we require to
awaken. The fourth has reference to the words,
which must be given appropriate expression, unless
their force is to be entirely wasted, although it is an
error to attempt to make our delivery reproduce the
sense of every single word.
