Mayor's Court.

--Recorder Caskie president in this court on Saturday:

Joseph Parker, a member of Caskie's Rangers, was charged with being a person of evil-fame, and a deserter. The officer who arrested him not being able to make out the papers which Parker had, took it for granted that all was not right, and therefore it was why the arrest was made. On exhibiting them, however, to the Recorder Saturday morning they were found to be all right, and that his furlough did not run out till the 30th ult. Parker was therefore dismissed, and promised to return forth with to his company.

The continued case against Lewis Lynaman, charged with having and receiving seven chickens, the property of James B Smith, knowing them to have been stolen was again postponed till this morning in order that it may be disposed of by the Mayor, before whom the party was first arraigned.
