New publications--Ayres & Wade.
--We have received from Messrs Ayres & Wade, the publishers, the following new publications:Eleanor's Victory, by Miss M. E. Braddon. This story, which has recently been published in the Illustrated News, is now given to the public in book form, with Illustrations. Of its merits as a work of fiction, with which the public are partly familiar, it is needless to speak. The volume is admirably gotten out.
The War and its Heroes. This is a neat edition of the lives of seventeen of the Generals, including, of course, the most prominent, of our army.--Each "life" is prefaced with a picture of the subject of the biography.
The Rebel Songster. This is the best collection of songs made since the war, and does credit to the taste of the compiler.
All these works are very handsomely published and embellished.
