Judge Halyburton yesterday gave his opinion in the case of Capt. Hayward's men, who were petitioning to be discharged from service. The Judge, after briefly reviewing the evidence and arguments, dismissed the writ and remanded the applicants back to their command.

Writs were issued in the case of several of Capt. McGruder's men, who volunteered for local service, but have been sent beyond the limits, returnable on the 10th inst.
