John Austin,

for purchasing a lot of butter in the Second Market to sell again, was fined $20, and had his butter confiscated. Austin put up a plea that his purchase was for private use; but, in consideration of the fact that he was a vender of butter in the same market, the Recorder could see no reason why he should buy a special article for his own use.
