Called Court.

--A Court of Justices was held in the City Hall on Saturday last for the examination of Matthew O'Neal, charged with receiving 150 pounds of lard, valued at $100, knowing the same to have been stolen. Mr. John Abern's grocery store was broken open on the night of the 15th of July, by one or two negroes, who stole and carried off $400 worth of groceries. The next morning a portion of the stolen lard was found in the grocery of the accused. After a hearing, O'Neal was remanded for final trial before Judge Lyons, on charge of felony, and sent to prison for safe keeping.
