The Traitor Rucker.

This individual, whose infamy has gained him some share of the public attention for the past year, was taken from the jail of Bedford county on Wednesday last to the county of Botetourt, where he will be placed upon trial for his numerous offences before the Circuit Court of that county, now in session. The probabilities of his conviction are said to be very strong. It will be recollected that Dr. James Greene, of Danville, is held in close confinement at Fort Norfolk as a hostage for Rucker, Dr. G. is a quiet and inoffensive gentleman, whilst Rucker is a scoundrel of the deepest dye, whose desperate fortune has led him to commit every species of crime from bridge burning to murder.
