The cotton market.

--The receipts of cotton at Mobile for the week ending the 12th inst., were 911 bales. The stock on hand — Including 39 bales cleared in May last; but not exserted — is 4,302 bales, against 3,325 bales at the same date last year. The Advertiser says:

‘ The business is mostly of a jobbing character, and a large part of the purchases are made on speculation. Our classification is from actual sales on a basis of 20c for Middling, which, however, has been selling at Selma for 30c, and at Montgomery for 35c per lb — prices which will not be without their effect upon the market here.
