Charles Carroll Hicks.

--We have received a letter from Mr. John T. Gordon, an officer aboard the Retribution, stating that Charles Carroll Hicks, who was mentioned as having delivered up to the enemy the prize brig J. P. Elliott, of Boston, was not aboard of her at all, and had resigned his post on the Retribution at St. Thomas on the 12th of December last, long before the was fitted up for her cruise.
