--A Washington letter in the Baltimore Sun has the following:

E. L. Gantt, of Montgomery county, Md., has been arrested on the charge of drinking the health of Jeff. Davis and the Southern army. He refused to take the oath of allegiance, and was sent to the Old Capitol. Several prisoners have been brought up from Alexandria and committed, also.
