The humbug of foreign intervention.
Ever since it became evident to our people that foreign intervention was a humbug, they have fought and won more battles and victories than ever occurred before in so short a space of time. There is nothing like compelling an individual or a nation to depend on itself. We all now feel proud and grateful that our independence is likely to be achieved by ourselves, and that we will be under no obligations to any earthly power but our selves for our deliverance.
