The storm.

--The gale of Friday night and Saturday morning proved somewhat destructive in its effects upon the tents of the soldiers, both here and in the neighborhood of Manassas. On the river it was still more severe. We can from the Captain of the Curtis Peck that he wind blew so furiously while he was waiting for passengers at Grove Wharf, that the moorings proved inefficient and the steamer became almost unmanageable, and he was compelled to leave one of the small boats on there and steam up the river. Passengers from the South represent that a fierce gale blew in from the sea, and the supposition is not there were sections disasters on the coast. low far it affected the plans of the Federal naval expedition has not yet been ascertained.
