Aid for the Marylanders.
--We cheerfully comply with a request to invoke the aid if the public in behalf of the First Maryland regiment, now sadly in need of winter clothing. They are unable, like other regiments, for obtain aid from their own State, and the other rates should vic with each other to supply to them the place of a mother. The Enquirer states that contributions for this purpose can be left at that office. The Maryland regiment shone like a star in the front of the battle of Manassas. There is no braver and nobler State than Maryland, and none bore gallantly and honorably represented in the Confederate army. If we cannot go over to help Maryland, let us at least prevent lose of her children who are helping us from suffering in our cause.
