No one could have believed six months ago that Daniel S. Dickenson, of New York, would ever have been a subject of eulogy of the New York Tribune. Yet so it is. Wendell Phillips never received more emphatic praise from that incendiary sheet than Daniel S. Dickenson. The man's whole life must be a lie or he could not occupy his present position.
