Damage by the storm.

--The heavy rains on the mountains on Friday and Saturday nights, caused the Potomac river to swell to a very great height. All along the line of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, from Harper's Ferry to Cumberland, the streams were swollen, at some places the Ralls were submerged four to six feet, and for a time there was some difficulty in the trains passing. The road suffered very little damage, and the interruption to the travel was only temporary.
