The above ticket is proposed to conservative men, and to working men of all parties, who stand up for maintaining their rights and discharging their obligations in the Union, and according to the Constitution; who have little or no taste for bullying, blustering and filibustering under a cotton flag; who do not intend to be submissionists to the dictations of demagogues and terrorists, and who are not willing to play into the hands of fanatical abolitionists. Says Wendell Phillips, in his late address at Boston, ‘"Disunionism is abolitionism. That is all I care for it. I care not for forms of government, but for its essence. The music of disunion to me is that at its touch the slave breaks forth in jubilee,"’ &c., &c.
Is there no truth or warning in this utterance of an outrageous but shrewd and veteran abolitionist and disunionist?
