Relic of the "Dark" ages.
--In New Castle County (Del.) Court, last week, John Dopiran, for stealing a mare, was fined $150, given 20 lashes and made to stand in the pillory one hour. Norman Stewart, Wm. H. Potter and Joseph Tindale, convicted of there, were ordered to be whipped, and wear a convict's jacket six months, after their release from a short imprisonment, added by the Court to the lashing.
