To Charleston.
--The steamship line between New York and Charleston is compelled to refuse a large number of applications for steerage tickets, in consequence of the heavy bond required by the South Carolina authorities for the support of poor laborers coming from the North As a consequence, the steamship Marion, which sailed on Wednesday, had rather a slim passenger list, though a number of laborers and others were anxious to take passages. it is supposed, however, that they will find their way South by railroad.
