Antiquity of Torchlight processions.

--Torchlight processions were designed more than two thousand years ago. See 1 Maccabees IV. 22, wherein an account is given of the High Priest Jason, who escorted King Antiochus into Jerusalem ‘"with torchlight and great shoutings."’ Jason lived in the fourth century B. C.
