[363] κατέφθιτο. Ameis describes this tense as a pluperfect; compare “ἔφθισο” S. c. T. 970, “ἔφθιτο γὰρ πάρος” Eur. Alcest.414, but as parallel to “ὀλοφύρατο” it is better to take it as the non-thematic aorist. So Il.18. 99“ὁ μὲν μάλα τηλόθι πάτρης”
“ἔφθιτ̓, ἐμεῖο δὲ δῆσεν ἀρῆς ἀλκτῆρα
γενέσθαι”. Cp. Soph. O. R.962“νόσοις ὁ τλήμων, ὡς ἔοικεν, ἔφθιτο”.
