Scrapbooking Challenge #10 in The Cherry On Top's Scrap-A-Thon

Welcome to The Cherry On Top, crafters.

We are halfway through the 20 challenges when we finish this one. Shoo...Doesn't that feel great? I'm very pleased to see the albums filling up with your lovely pages. I appreciate all of your comments and sharing our links with your friends.  That helps a lot.

Today's challenge might make you grumble just a bit. Hehehe... That is the point, right? To get you to do things you might not normally do? I'm one of those feisty, pesky, pushy kinds of people, but you probably already knew that. So, if you need a push for this challenge, Just Do It! Hehehe.... There it is. Better than that, I'll give you all kinds of inspiration and maybe then you'll be excited about it.

I designed a whole lot of hybrid designs for Plus at Design Bundles.  I'll show off a few of those to give you ideas or maybe even template help for your own hybrid creation.  Do you have any points left from your FREE one month GOLD membership? Click that link to get yours!

exploding box card

This is an insanely fun and easy project.  I think kids would really get a kick out of it and you will, too.  I'd scrap it all up digitall, print it out and then put it together, but if you are the type that likes to get glue on your fingers and glitter...everywhere, then print out your pictures if you are going to use those or print out all of the little extras you'd like to use in your mini and have fun.

Without exaggerating, you can make a project like this in under an hour.  If you've got even a littler experience, maybe under half an hour.

Mother's Day gift

Since Mother's Day isn't all that far away, here's a little something that she might just love.  It's that same template but designed for mom.  Isn't it so precious? There is plenty of room for a small gift, too.

box card mini scrapbook

Design your own card.  If you duplicate the shape, you can turn it into a mini album.

baby girl mini album

Sometimes I can get so excited about a project I'm working on.  I throw it in the shop and...and...crickets.  Other times, I am underwhelmed with a design and it does well.  Go figure!  This design below was one of those...fails? I still love it and I got the idea from my kid's book.  It was shaped just like this.  You can use the design over and over for any theme you like.  It makes a great mini album, but of course, you could make a book as well with it, right?

printable mini scrapbook

This is definitely a project you can have finished in minutes.  Slap your pictures on the pages, print, cut the easy shapes and bind.

beach scrapbooking

Another easy template for you with a vintage flair.  This one was a lot more successful.  Maybe I should turn the able album into a vintage one?  People sure do like the old stuff.  I guess I'm good to go! Hehehe...

vintage mini album

Y'all!  This set of templates has to be one of my all time favorites.  You talk about versatility? You can scrap these like desktop templates or you can go hybrid.  Isn't that just the bee's knees?

These are 50% off at GingerScraps

I've got several blogs with explicit directions on how to create and make these mini albums using the super fun templates.  Here's one.

Here's mine with the boy version.  Scrapped up so fast!

boys mini album

Here is what it looks like desktop style.  This would make a great artistic style page as well.

Here's the blog on how to whip up this kind of mini album.

These are some fun spring stickers I designed. Yip! They are 50% off in the Kreative Design Studio. That's another hybrid project for you to consider and I used a mockup to show them off.

spring stickers

To be clear. You must create your own hybrid project. You may use templates to do this if necessary. Other hybrid projects would be cards, stickers, planner printables, bookmarks...I'd even consider sublimation projects that you finish. I want to see either a photo of your finished hybrid challenge or you can use a mockup for it if you don't have a printer. Mockups are also available at Plus.

I'll see you and your projects in the group or in the forum at Design Bundles.  We'll be back with another challenge soon!

Tattoo Inspired Digital Scrapbooking Templates, Layout Love, Gratitude and a New BoHo Chic, Free Printable For You

Welcome to The Cherry On Top.

Have you ever sat back the next day and reveled in an awesome morning before?  I'm doing that, right now.  Yesterday, I received a lovely e-mail from a fan exuberantly thanking me for all of the generous freebies I put around our social hot spots.  Wow!  That someone would take the time to send me an e-mail like that is a real rarity and boy, is it nice.  Shortly after, an insurance appraiser said the insurance would pay to have our windows fixed after robbers damaged and destroyed half of the doors and windows around our house as well as stole our family heirlooms, cash, totally unforgettable mementos...Then, I received a mail from Ginger at GingerScraps stating that I could be a permanent designer at GingerScraps!  Whoo hoo!  I was so happy, I made chocolate donuts for the kids.  Hehehehe...

Did you know that being grateful is like medicine?  I strongly recommend, telling people all of the little things or big things that you like, admire, love or appreciate about them.  Little complements throughout the day like, "I love those jeans!"  "Your hair looks terrific!"  "When is the last time I told you how awesome you are?"  Not only will you totally make someone's day, but YOU will actually benefit physiologically from it, too!  Spread some sunshine this weekend and everyday.

Every morning when you wake up, be glad ya did!  Hehehe...Think about all of what's right in your life while you slowly wake up.  Mmm...your bed, a roof over your head, AC or heating, running water, a loving pet, safe and healthy kids and or partner...As you're going through your day, take note of all of the awesome that is surrounding you and if some crap starts to seep into your brain, push it out immediately and concentrate on what is good. (Says the recovering Acute Anxiety Disorder sufferer.)

OK, there's your pep talk and daily does of awesome that will be sure to change your life!

I've got some templates that are so NOT taboo.  Though, that might be a cool idea for future.  Hehehe...They were tattoo inspired, but not at all solely for pictures of tattoos.  Some tattoos are beautiful pieces of art and I've wanted one for decades, but have continuously yielded for all kinds of reasons.  I love perusing images of tattoos and they are often the subjects of my templates.  This time it might be a bit more evident.

 Got Ink Templates

None of my ladies scrapped with a tattoo theme and I invite you to do the same.  Take notice of the versatility in them.

I thought I'd share with you, how you can change up the design for this particular template.  I've left the two pieces separate so that you could either form a cross or just a shape.  By slightly nudging up or down or centering you can make this design anyway you like.  I thought some people might enjoy a religious element on their page.  It might be great to scrap someone who has passed or images from church.  Likewise, you can move the pieces to fit your needs.

The differences are very subtle.

Last week's templates were a real success and I couldn't be happier about that!  A huge thanks to all of you that added Only You to your template stash!  I'm seeing a lot of gorgeous pages with them.

 Only You templates

Did you see we've added more goodies to the shop?  There are even more still.  Keep scrolling to see those and make sure you don't already own them.

I used our 2 Dye 4 templates for this expressive page.  I took out all of the...neutral colors and elements and designed a page to fit a crap mood.  Hehehe...I wasn't in a bad mood.  That rarely happens, though it is really therapeutic to scrap when ya feel sad, depressed, anxious...scrap therapy really works.  Give it a try?

These are the other templates I've recently added to the shop at GingerScraps.

Did ya see our $2 Tuesday deals this week?  I hope you didn't miss!  I've got all of the Tuesday's in January planned and plan on doing them all for February soon, too.  So maybe set a notification to check out what they are each week?  It's totally worth it!

If you're a freebie lover, like myself then you'll definitely want to hit up GingerScraps challenges.  I used this month's Buffet's color palette for the freebies I provided this month which were the Desktop Challenge and one of the templates.  That means there were TWO free templates this month.

52 Reasons Why I Love You Free Printables, Scrapbook Along With Us

Welcome to The Cherry On Top.

I'm on yet another fantastic endeavour.  Let's see if I can keep up with this one, too.  I hope I'm not over doing it.  All of these ideas!

Years ago, I found an awesome project someone did with playing cards.  They used metal rings to bind the cards together and added all of these reasons they loved their loved ones.  I really wanted to do this ever since I saw the project.  So here it is and we can do it together!

Each week or so, I'll post a free printable.  You download, cut and mash together and add photos in the spots where directed or however you like.  By next year, our nifty mini album will be all finished and ready to give to whomever you choose.

I'm going for a book for all three of my guys.  You can make one for your friends, mom and dad...anyone you love with all of your heart.

 Free printable download

I've already designed several pages in the series.  I'll keep the colours the same and keep the overall look similar to what you see here for cohesion and one awesome book once we've finished it up.  Try to keep up so you don't get too far behind.

If you think of something lovely to say, pop over to our scrappy group on FB and share it with me by tagging me and we'll see if it makes the cut.  52 things is a lot!  Hehehe...

I really hope you'll scrap along with us!

Here is your first download.  It is the title page and another page, that you're meant to glue back to back.  On the next download, you'll get another 2 cards.  One with something nifty and the other side for you to glue back to back and add a photo that might go with the saying?  It's up to you.

I'll be back with photos of the project as it progresses.

Thanks for hanging out with The Cherries!

Free Printable Card of Celebration From The Cherry On Top and Kim Cameron Designs

Welcome to The Cherry On Top's, Hybrid Saturday.

We mix it all up on Saturdays.  Scrap digital and print or scrap digital, print and scrap traditional or hybrid.  Isn't that so cool?!  I think it's a fabulous mix of the two.  You have a lot less mess and you need hardly any materials so no storage problems.  Seriously, you might need a nice paper cutter, paper (of course) a printer, scissors and some adhesive.  Sure you can get one of those fancy cutting machines like Cricut to make your project move faster and neater, but if you're not bad at fussy cut'n, then you don't even need one of those.

Check out the new, free printable, see how I designed it and check out some other recent printable hybrid projects from The Cherry.  Enjoy!  I've linked up all of the images so you jump around easily.

Scroll down to the bottom for the free download.

I always try to make my printables as useful as possible for the most amount of readers.  Hehehe...I keep my wording a bit on the generic side so you can use these freebies more often.  This card is 6x6 inches.

I used my new scrapbooking kit, Pretty As A Peacock to make your free card as well as Kim Cameron's commercial use goodies.  I've got them featured a bit further down.  I'll explain the process and show you how awesome it is using all kinds of different digital mediums to make beautiful goodies.

Pretty As A Peacock elements and papers are sold separately.

Notice some of these templates?  I use them in my templates and you can use them for your personal use as well.  Why not?  They are priced to sell and are amazingly versatile!  Start thinking about all of the different ways you can use these goodies from Kim.

 Count Down from Kim Cameron

Think outside of New Year.  What else could you use these for?  Carnival, birthday, celebration, party...

See how I used them to make that last template?  Sweet, right?  Use the goodies as representative pieces for template making or layer them up like I did with the bottle for this template so your clients or yourself can customise.

Here's some really fun shapes!  Design papers, elements and photo booth props!!!  Make something super special for dad.

 Dapper Gentleman

I just LOVE Kim's page template maker greenery and flowers.  If you are a repeat buyer of my templates, you'll know these leaves well.  Hehehe...They are meant to use as representative pieces meaning, you should replace these with your own greenery from a digital scrap kit.

 Leafy Bits

Aren't the flowers just great?  Perfect for template making, but think also of the beautiful flowers you could make with these templates.  Insert your own papers, textures, glitter, gems....Go nuts!

I just put this one on the blog, last week.  Aimee's collections are just beyond gorgeous.  It's a free, printable tag.  So cute!
