Hello and welcome back to another wonderful Christmas inspired post as we showcase the third stamp set to be release from The Craft's Meow this month. I really love the pretty lantern in this set called Christmas Lantern by Clare Buswell.
Isn't this beautiful?? I had lots of fun coloring it with my Copic markers. Take a closer look......
I used papers from the Echo Park 6x6 Very Merry paper pad. The ribbon is and older one from Stampin' Up! and I used my sewing machine to stitch around the edge of the card along with a little bit of Distress ink from Tim Holtz.
Hop on over to The Craft's Meow blog to check out what the other designers have been creating with this set and don't forget to leave a comment while you are over there for you chance to win it. Come back tomorrow as we showcase the last two sets and then don't forget to hop with us on Monday when the new sets are released!!
Hugs,
Amy

Sending You A Pocket Full Of Get Well Wishes
Hello and welcome back to another Thoughtful Thursday with the My Creative Time design team. I really enjoy doing these thoughtful cards.......I usually don't have them on hand in my stash and end up throwing one together at the last minute for someone. Now, I have a couple ready to go if ever I need them.
My card today uses the Stitched Postage Frame Die and the Fun Pockets set. I stamped the denim background stamp that I got from Stampin' Up! many years ago onto the blue cardstock before I die cut it out with the Fun Pockets die....I love the look of the denim on this die cut image....here is a closer look....
The flowers are colored with my Copic markers and I added a little bit of white pen detail to them. I finished off the card with some distressing and a little stitching from my sewing machine and then tied it all off with a green ribbon.
Hop on over to the My Creative Time blog to check out and be inspired by all the wonderful Thoughtful Thursday projects shared by the design team.
Hugs,
Amy

Brrrr....It's Cold Out There!!
Well we have had a pretty big storm hit the area and we have several new inches of snow (on top of the 10 inches we already had) with another couple of inches more predicted before the storm completely blows away from the state. It is sooo very cold outside and I thought it would be a great day to share this card that I created for the Cricut Circle magazine last year.......
I cut the house with my Cricut and the Winter Woodland cartridge for the house and the Fancy Frames cartridge for the fancy background layer. The background is embossed with the Cuttlebug and the Snowflakes die. I added some white paint to the raised surface on the blue background to make it stand out a little bit more. The snow on the house has some stickles glitter glue added to it for a little sparkle. I added some stitching, ribbon, button and a sticker sentiment from SRM Stickers to finish off the card.
I hope that if it is winter where you are, you are staying nice and warm. As for me, I think I will go and cuddle with my hubby by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa.
Hugs,
Amy

November Release Week with My Creative Time! {Day 3}
Hi and welcome everyone!! Today is the third day for the sneak peeks with My Creative Time. I tell you that this release is a MUST HAVE. So many fun dies and stamps to play with like the ones I used on my project today......
I used my Cricut and Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the box and then used the Vintage Label Dies, Vintage Label Stamps to stamp the orange polka-dots onto the label and then used the Vintage Label Sentiments across that middle. The Scallop and Stitched Circle in the middle of the label are also cut with dies from My Creative Time. Here is a closer look.....
I used Basic Grey papers and Stampin' Up! cardstock and inks. I also added some pen stitching and ribbon from my big stash of ribbon.
Don't forget to see the whole release tomorrow along with the kick off of a super fun, two day blog hop with the My Creative Time design team!! I can't wait to share what I created with you then.....See you tomorrow!!
Hugs,
Amy

Smash Book Post #2 - Scrapping the Little Things with MCT
Hey crafty friends!! Welcome back as I share another smash book post. If you missed my first one, click HERE. I mentioned that I had a couple of smash books for a while and they were way too intimidating to me until Miss Emma at My Creative Time started the Scrapping the Little Things project posts.....so, I had to pull them out and get started with them. Now that I am getting more comfortable with them, I think that I am really starting to love it. I have decided to just use it as a life journal for me. I will make art type of pages as well as stuff about me that my kids and grandkids will hopefully enjoy later. Here is my page for today.....
I titled these pages "I am a MOM." I used the camera stamp from the Camera Shy stamp set from My Creative Time along the middle of the pages and also for the "Smile" on the right picture. I didn't stamp directly onto the photo, but on a piece of acrylic (think packaging) and then cut it out and secured it to the photo with a small paper clip. Here is a shot of the acrylic piece over the left picture that is stamped with the Small Talk stamp set.......
I did it this way so that I wouldn't ruin the photo and have to reprint some more if I messed up. Stamping on smooth surfaces like photos and acrylic isn't exactly easy since the wet ink makes the stamp more likely to slide on the smooth surface. I used a Stazon ink pad for the stamping because that stuff really sticks to slick surfaces.......here is a pic of one of the stamped images I did........
See how the "i" and the heart are a little blured at the top.......it is because I don't have a super steady hand while stamping and so I had to make another one (or two or three) to get it right. I then just cut down the acrylic and used it over my picture.
Here is a closer shot of the bottom of the other page.......
I used some white doilies and painted the edges with a red acrylic paint. I thought they they came out really bright red, so I 'dulled' them down a little with some light brown ink. I added some butterflies and pen details and journaling. Tell me what you think......
You should hop on over to the My Creative Time blog to check out what the other designers are up to with their Scrapping the Little Things projects......I can't wait to see what they have all been up to myself. ;)
Hugs,
Amy

Our Beautiful Family Layout with My Creative Time
Hello and welcome!! Some of the design team have created layouts today for Scrappy Monday at My Creative Time. We were challenged to pick a letter and create a layout around items that start with that letter. I picked the letter O......can you spot the things in my layout that start with the letter O??
I cut the cute 'O'wls out with my Cricut and the Hoot n' Holler'n cartridge. I used some 'O'vals in my layout under the title and also along the left edge of the layout.
I used 'O'range cardstock for one of the layers as well as with the fab Flower Petal dies from My Creative Time. I also did some stamping with Orange and the Just Simply Live stamp set.
My kiddo's also pointed out that the layout is of 'O'ur Family and that we had the pictures taken in 'O'ctober. Super clever of them to notice that!! I hope that you will hop on over to the My Creative Time blog to check out the fab layouts done by the other design team members for Scrappy Monday.
Hugs,
Amy

Large Fall Tag with My Creative Time
Hey everyone!! Today over on the My Creative Time blog there is a new challenge up from Ruthie to create a large tag project. I thought this was a super fun project and couldn't wait to get started.......
I really love fall....cuddling up in my favorite sweaters, snuggling next to my hubby by the fire, hot cocoa, colorful and crunchy leaves under my feet, but this week we went from what seems like the beginning of fall right into winter, so I thought I would pull some of the beauty of fall back home with my tag.....
This tag measures approximately 4 3/4 inches by 6 inches (without the ribbon). I cut it out with my Cricut and the Creative Memories Traveler cartridge. I used My Creative Time's egg dies from the Hello Spring set to create the pumpkin. I also used the Piles of Smiles set for the leaf and the "Give Thanks" sentiment along with the Just For You set for the stamped sentiments in the circle.
For the tag, I used the Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set. The papers are some old We R Memory Keepers from my scrap pile and I stamped the woodgrain with an old SU background stamp. I finished off the card with a little Jute ribbon from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique, Peapod bakers twine from The Twinery, some stitched ribbon from SU and a little stitching and buttons.
I hope you can hop over and join us by creating a large tag like the one I created. You can check out all the details and the other projects by my fellow designers over at the My Creative Time blog along with how to link up when you are ready to join us.
Hugs,
Amy

Missing You!! PDCC154
Hi everyone!! We woke up this morning to a beautiful blanket of snow......along with many downed tree limbs and my poor broken lilac bush. I sure hope it can recover because I love my lilacs in the spring.
Having a snowy day, I was able to spend a little time in my crafting room and was able to get a card complete for The Play Date Cafe's 3rd Anniversary Celebration........
For my card, I thought it would be fun to ink up an embossing folder and create my own inked and embossed background paper. So very pretty!! I also crinkled come cardstock and ruffled it along the bottom of the card in three rows. I made the flower with the Flower Petal Dies from My Creative Time and added it to the bow I tied with ribbon.
For the sentiment, I added on of the Tiny Tag Greetings to the Just Simply Live die and folded it in half over a straight pin with a pearl head.
Here is the challenge photo.....

Amy

Fun Fall Card with Peachy Keen Stamps
Oops!! I just realized that this post didn't go up on Monday when it was suppose to. I must have clicked save instead of publish and then I was gone most of that day for my grandmother's funeral and didn't check to see if it went up. Here it is two days late, but I hope you like it!!
I really LOVE fall!! It is my favorite time of the year. There are so many beautiful things to see......like the lovely way the leaves change color. I was inspired by all the many colors of the fall leaves for my card today that I got to share over at the Peachy Keen Stamps blog......
I used the September Stamp Kit of the Month from Peachy Keen Stamps to stamp the scarecrow and then I colored him with my Copic markers and a few the pen details with a Sakura Gelly Roll pen. I distressed a little piece of kraft cardstock with a craft knife and dark brown ink to look like a piece of wood. I used my sewing machine to stitch around the card and the layered piece under the scarecrow. I used a small ink pad to apply brown ink to the white background under the scarecrow and I really love the distressed look of it.
I cut the "fall" banner with my Cricut and put it on a piece of bakers twine from The Twinery. I tied a yellow ribbon around the card and then used some foam adhesive to add dimension. I hope that you are inspired to get to work on some fall themed projects of you own!!
Have a great day!!
Hugs,
Amy

Do What Makes You Happy - PDCC147
Hello friends!! I haven't played over at The Play Date Cafe for a while and wanted to sneak in a project for this challenge. I am needing a new bookmark, so I thought that I could make a tag/bookmark for myself with the fun color combo in PDCC147.
I actually did it.....I broke open the Silhouette Cameo to make this project. I used it to cut the dress form as well as the pretty little flowers. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the olive green cardstock and then inked over it with a evergreen shade. The background stamp on the purple is the Aidia Cloth from Stampin' Up! and the sentiment is in the Encouraging Quotes from My Creative Time. Here is a closer shot......
Now, I must confess that the glitter on the dress form came to me after a boo boo on my part. I *thought* that I was pulling out my glue pen to adhere it to the *project, but instead I pulled out the glitter pen (same shape and size as the glue pen) and knew that I wanted to add some glitter to the whole dress form after that happy little accident. ;)

It's A Love Thing with a GIVEAWAY!!
Hello crafty friends!! I have another fun card that was published in the June 2012 issue of the Cricut Magazine by Northridge Publishing. I used the Cricut Craft room to design this card along with the Cricut
Font and Basic Shapes and Banners digital carts and they were cut on my Cricut Mini.
The sentiments are stickers from SRM Stickers and I used cardstock from Stampin' Up!, Bazzill, and The Paper Company. The embossing on the red cardstock was done with my Cuttlebug and the Polka Dots embossing folder. The ribbon is from Stampin' Up! and the button is just from my craft stash.
So, since I have two projects published in the June issue of the Cricut Magazine (CLICK HERE to see the other project), I would like to do a giveaway and let one of you win a copy of this awesome magazine. Just leave a comment below this post by Friday August 17th and I will draw a lucky winner next weekend. Only one comment per person, please.
Have fun and GOOD LUCK!! I have some super fun projects coming up this next week during the My Creative Time August release......you know that Emma is going to be giving away some awesome prizes, so please come back and join us!!
Hugs,
Amy

Butterfly Shadowbox
Hey everyone!! Did you see the June issue of the Cricut Magazine yet?? I have a couple of projects that are published in it and I wanted to share one of them with you today. This Butterfly Shadowbox is featured on page 106 of the June 2012 issue. You may have also spotted this one in the Cricut Mini infomercial that came out about 6 months ago....... ;)
I used my Cricut Mini to cut this along with the Craft Room Basics and Indie Art Cartridges. I cut the butterflies out in four different colors/layers and then put them together with some adhesive and c curled the wings a little so that you could see the different colors.
I also wanted to share with you all that Provo Craft has let the Cricut Circle design team go and so I am no longer a designer with them. It was really fun to join them over this last year and I am so thankful for the opportunity I had to share my Cricut projcts with the Circle members. It was awesome to design along side some of the most talented designers in the scrapbooking industry. I still plan on designing with my Cricut machines and so I hope you will continue to visit. Thanks for stopping by!!

Thanks for the Little Things - PDCC141
Hey friends!! Today I have a pretty little card I was inspired to create with the current Play Date Cafe challenge 141. I really love the color combo in this challenge......although I don't have much mint in my collection, I had previously dyed some seam binding with glimmer mist to create this lovely crinkle ribbon that worked perfectly for my card.........
The flowers and label are cut on my Cricut with both of the Close to My Heart cartridges (label from Art Philosophy, roses from Artiste). I sprayed the flowers with a little bit of yellow glimmer mist to add a little bit of sparkle to them, although it is a little hard to see in the pictures. The only thing is that it did change the colors of the flowers from a soft yellow to a brighter one, but I still love the look.
The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch, the sentiment is from an older Stampin' Up set and the patterned paper is unknown from my scrap pile. I added a little stitching from my sewing machine and a pen to finish the card off. Thanks for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Amy

Tea/Tee Time - My Creative Time Release Week!!
It is time for another FABULOUS Release Week at My Creative Time. This newest release is so awesome!! I can't wait to share my card with you. I used the new Tea Party stamp set from My Creative Time for the sentiment.
The tee is cut with my Cricut Mini from Everyday Paper Dolls and the ball is just a basic circle (from George and Basic Shapes) that I embossed with my Cuttlebug and Polka Dots embossing folder. The tea cup is cut from Love You A Latte cartridge and embossed again with my Cuttlebug and a border embossing folder.
The base is cut from Elegant Edges that I altered in Cricut Craft Room with a rectangle at the top to take off the top scallops. I also did this for the shadow. I added some stitching from my sewing machine and a little bit of Flax colored bakers twine from The Twinery.
Here is a peek at the new Tea Party Stamp set:
