Hi There!

So fun to pull out some of the older stamp sets I have hidden away and play along with some of my favorite challenges this week.  I created this card for Lawnscaping challenge #37 to use dimension and with the sketch 273 at CPS.

I used some foam adhesive to lift the images off of this card after I colored them with my Copic markers and cut them out.  The images are from the Critters in the Burbs stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  The sentiment is from Sophie's Sentiments also from Lawn Fawn.

Isn't it the cutest??  Want to know the best part??  I was able to use scraps for this whole card.  I love it when I can pull together left over material from other projects for a fun card like this.

Here are the challenges I am entering this into:

(I rotated this sketch for my card)

I am also going to enter this in the Moxie Fab World Stamp It Cards Week: The Hello Card Challenge.

Have a great day!! ♥

Guest Designing at My Creative Time

Hello everyone!!  Today I get to share a post over on the My Creative Time blog for Miss Emma.  I am really happy to be able to help out on Emma's blog while she is nursing her son back to health.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family as he recovers.  Today I wanted to share a card I made with Emma's beautiful stamps and dies from the Fun Pockets and Bloom Where You Are Planted sets.

I used the fab pocket die in the Fun Pockets stamp and die set.  The sentiment is from the Bloom Where You Are Planted stamp set.  I used a paper piercing template to add some holes across the bottom where the sentiment is.

The flowers are from the Fun Pockets stamp and die set.  On my card, I stamped them three times and then cut them out two or three times for the fun layers.......

I finished off the card with some stitching, twine, glitter glue, ribbon, and buttons.  I hope that you have enjoyed my card today and that it has inspired you to pull out those fab stamps and dies and get creating.  Don't forget that I have some FAB giveaways going on right now for Scrapping Mommy's 5th Blogiversary, CLICK HERE to check them all out.

I went to the Card Patterns blog and was very sad to see that they have posted their last sketch and are done with their challenges.  I really loved their sketches and I was lucky enough to get to be chosen as a guest designer last summer.  This card is based on their last sketch.....Sketch 172.....

I am entering this in the Stamp It! Cards Week: The Thank You Challenge at Moxie Fab World.

May Release Week Day 2 With My Creative Time

Welcome back for the second day of inspiration with the release of My Creative Time's new stamps and dies.  Today I have a card to share with you that uses the Here's Lookin' At You stamp and die kit from My Creative Time.
My card measures 4 inches by 9 inches.  The sentiment, hat die and tie die are from this super cute set called Here's Lookin' At You.  I used the mustache and glasses dies from the What's Growin' On stamp and die set that we showcased yesterday on the My Creative Time blog.
The eyes are stamped from the April Kit of the Month from Peachy Keen Stamps.  I stitched around the white cardstock near the border and then added some dimensional adhesive to the cuts for a little pop and dimension on the card.
See that fab yellow twine that I tied on my card, well, that comes from the new boutique that my fellow design team member, Liz from Liz's Paper Loft has opened up.  You should really go and check out all the fab trim she has available.

Gnome Sweet Gnome

So, how is your weekend going??  Did you know that March is National Craft Month??  What a great 'excuse' to get some more time in our scrappy spaces to create.  Right now, I am busy on several projects that I can't wait to share with you.  Today I have this fun 4 by 4 inch card that I created with March Kit of the Month at Peachy Keen Stamps.

I paper pieced the mushroom and added a little color to the windows and door with Stampin' Up! markers.  The flower has a little bit of yellow glitter glue added to the center.  I also added a brass colored brad for the door handle.  Here is a close up:

I added a little stitching with my sewing machine, added some more polka-dotted pattern paper and tied it all up with some linen ribbon.

I was inspired to create this card from the current Tuesday Trigger: Home Sweet Home at Moxie Fab World.  I used the colors, patterns, and texture for the inspiration.  Plus, don't forget about the giveaway I have going on right now....CLICK HERE for the details.

Did you know that Peachy Keen Stamps has a 25% off sale going on until 8pm Centeral Time on Sunday March 4th??  Hurry over so you don't miss out on this sale!!

For Cath (sans CHA) with Love Blog Hop

Hello friends and new visitors!!  How many of you know what CHA is??  Well, for me, I imagine it to be crafting heaven......a convention center filled with every possible scrapping item.....the latest and greatest under the sun.  Since I have never been, I live vicariously through those of you who do go and share your experiences.  One of those whom I follow the whole CHA experience with over the last few years is Cath Edvalsen who is the Trends Editor for Paper Crafts and also runs the Moxie Fab World Blog.  Well, due to a nasty pain in one of her shoulders, she wasn't able to attend this year, so to cheer her up, I decided to join in on a blog hop just for her.

Here is my 'up-lifting' card......

I used some stamps from Taylored Expressions and my Copic markers on this card.  The kites are stamped on patterned paper scraps and then cut out and adhered with some dimensional adhesive.  The kite string is some white crochet thread.  I used my fringe scissors for the grass and then went back and cut the 'blades' to various heights to make it look a little more like grass.  I also used some scissors to distress around the edges of the white cardstock.  I used a few strands of embroidery floss to stitch around the card and some twine from The Twinery and a button at the bottom of the card.

So, are you ready to join us in this fun blog hop??  Click on the pic of Cath below to check out the list and the details of this fab blog hop (don't forget to leave some *love* for Cath along the way):

Since I just love participating in the Moxie Fab World Challenges, I created this card for the Cool Tools Week: Cutting and Trimming Challenge.  Thanks so much Cath for all of your wonderful and inspiring posts over the years and I hope that you are feeling better soon!! ♥

Thanks everyone for stopping by!!

Amy

It's A Love Thing with SRM Stickers

Hello friends!!  I have a super fun Valentine's Day card to share with you today here and on the SRM Stickers blog.  Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday (with Thanksgiving coming in at a close second) and I {♥} to create cards for my loved ones every year.  Today my card is meant for that special guy in my life.  ::wink::  ::wink::  (now I hope I can delete the email before hubby sees this in his inbox in the morning).  ::crossing fingers::  I used my Cricut and the Sweethearts and Banner (CCR Exclusive) cartridges along with some FAB SRM Stickers to create my card.

Isn't this just the cutest??  Here is a closer look so that you can see the layering and dimension:
     Supplies-
Cardstock: Stampin' Up! (pink, yellow, turquoise), Bazzill (white, light blue),
            The Paper Company (kraft)
Die cuts: Cricut with Sweethearts and Banners (Craft Room Exclusive) cartridges
        Stickers: SRM Stickers
        Ribbon: Stampin' Up!
Embossing: Cuttlebug with Swiss Dots embossing folder
        Pen: Zig
        Button: unknown
        Other: hemp twine

I am entering this card in the Die Cutting Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

I am thinking I need to update the look of my blog.  Anyone have any ideas on what I should do??  I have a newer picture of my kiddos and I that I want to put in the header.  Do you know anyone that does a fab job for a really great price??  I just don't have the time to create one right now.....plus with my computer crashing a couple of months ago, I lost some of my digital kits (one in particular that I really wanted to use).

Later today, I will have an AWESOME announcement, as well as another card.......stay tuned!!

Fanatical About Botanical at Moxie Fab World

I love the look of butterflies, bees, and flowers and so the new Fanatical About Botanical Challenge on the Moxie Fab World blog is right up my alley.

For the butterfly, leaves, and flowers, I used an older Stampin' Up! set called God's Beauty to stamp out my images and then I colored them with Copic markers.  I used a page from an old gardening book I picked up at a thrift shop several months ago and I added a frame from My Minds Eye along the edges of the card.  I finished if off with a sticker sentiment from SRM Stickers, some sheer ribbon, lace, paper curls, twine and a wood grain button.
      Supplies -
        Cardstock, stamps: Stampin' Up!
        Ink: Memento (black), Colorbox (brown)
        Sticker: SRM Stickers
        Markers: Copic
        Frame: My Mind's Eye
        Ribbon: Offray
        Other: twine, button, book page

The challenge ends on August 8th, so there is still plenty of time to enter.....I might just have to make another card, too.

Amy

Sunny Smiles - PDCC and CardPatterns

Hello!!  Today I have a card to share with you that I created from CardPatterns Sketch 122 and PDCC88.  The colors for the Play Date Cafe Challenge are so fun and I had the perfect paper to match that I picked up from the Crate Paper booth at the ScrapbookUSA Expo in Sandy, UT this spring.  This is a tall card that measures 4 x 9 inches (fits great in a business size envelope).  I love the super cute little fox and butterfly stamped images from My Cute Stamps.  I colored them with my Copic markers.  I am entering this card into the Moxie Fab World Stamp it! Cards Week Challenge, too.  If you are a stamper, you should hop over and play along, too.

      Supplies:
Cardstock: The Paper Company (kraft), Stampin' Up! (white)
        Patterned paper: Crate Paper
        Stamps: My Cute Stamps
        Sticker: SRM Stickers
        Markers: Copic Sketch
        Punches: Stampin' Up!
        Scissors: Martha Stewart
        Pen: Zig
        Ribbon: Creating Keepsakes
        Button: Fancy Pants
        Other: hemp twine

I hand cut the clouds and added some pen stitching to them as well as the background paper.  The stamps are from My Cute Stamps (I also picked these up at the ScrapbookUSA Expo).

Here is where I got the inspiration for my card:

I hope that your week has started out great and that you will find some time to craft.....anything special you are working on right now??  I am getting my projects completed for my Guest Design Team spot at the Peachy Keen blog next week.....don't forget to stop by and check them out, plus a chance to win some yummy Peachy Keen stamps.

A Rainbow Bright Congrats

Happy Wednesday everyone!!  I hope that you are having a fabulous week.  I am enjoying the sunshine that we have had recently.....who knew how refreshing it can be when there is a blue sky all day?!?  I was in such a great mood, I decided to make this happy card for the Tuesday Trigger - Rainbow Bright on Moxie Fab World.  I was inspired by the beautiful color display and so I tried to duplicate it in my card.

Here is the trigger photo:

Here is something funny that happened when we were driving home from town yesterday that I want to share with you.  As we were coming to a traffic light my 2 year old says "Hurry mommy, it is gonna turn PURPLE!" I replied with "I hope not, I wouldn't know what to do if it turned purple." Without missing a beat, my 5 year old yells "YOU FLY!!"  After I collected myself, I said "I don't know how to fly a 4-Runner."  My 5 year old then explained "You just honk the horn 100 times and then it flies!"   I just love my kids!!

What funny things have you heard a kid say recently??

      Supplies:
Cardstock: Stampin' Up!, The Paper Company (kraft)
        Sticker: SRM Stickers
Embossing: Cuttlbug with Swiss Dots embossing folder
        Flower: Prima
Black dots: Viva Decor Pearl Pen
Other: embroidery floss, button, sewing machine and thread

Fun Sewing Themed Card

Whew....time to take a break from design team work and mowing the lawn (well I had to stop that because it ran out of gas...oops!).  Here is a card that I created for the I'm Sew Excited Challenge over on the Moxie Fab World blog.  I found this really fun vintage sewing machine cut on the Heritage Cricut cartridge that I wanted to use and so I added some flowers and a vine for embellishments on the sewing machine.  I also had this cute little wooden spool to use with some bakers twine from The Twinery for a lovely accent.  The sentiment is from SRM Stickers.

      Supplies:
        Cardstock: The Paper Company
        Patterned paper: Bo Bunny
Die cuts: Cricut with Heritage, Paisley, and Wall Decor and More cartridges
        Sticker: SRM Stickers
        Embossing: Cuttlebug
        Twine: The Twinery
Other: Viva Decor Pearl Pen, sewing machine, thread, wooden spool

So tell me, are you getting crafty this weekend??

You're Too Kind - Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

Happy weekend!!  We have a beautiful and sunny day here and I hope to get some time to go out and work in my garden.....but first, I have this card to share with you that I created from the Tuesday Trigger - Classically Modern this week on Moxie Fab World.  I was inspired by the colors, layout, blue flower pattern, and even the texture on the bed spread for my card.  I also used sketch 220 at CPS for my card.  I thought I would get back to my stamping roots on this card because I haven't stamped for a little while and it is how I got started in this wonderful paper crafting journey.  ♥

Here is the photo that my card is based on:

And, here is my card:

      Supplies-
Cardstock, stamps, ink, ribbon, tag punches: Stampin' Up!
Die cut image: Cricut with Gypsy Wanderings
        Embossing: Cuttlebug

So, what are your weekend plans??  I would love to hear about them.  Also, don't forget that today is the last day to enter Lisi's sketch challenge.....it is open for both adults and kids to enter.  Thanks for your comments. ♥

Hello Friend - Moxie Fab Style

Hello to all my friends out there in blog land.  Today I am going to share a really quick card with you that I was inspired to make from this weeks Tuesday Trigger - The Pyrex Effect at Moxie Fab World.  By really quick card, I mean that I threw this baby together from start to finish in less than 20 minutes.....probably one of the quickest cards I have made in a long time.

Here is the Tuesday Trigger photo my card was inspired by:

Just look at all of that yummy orange color.  I remember my grandmother having a set of bowls exactly like this when I was a kid, so I just had to make a card based on this photo.  So, what do you think??

Thanks for stopping by and for your lovely comments.

Eat Cake! Card

Finally, a day without rain and the sun is shining.  In the area that we live in there has been quite a bit of rain and still lots of snow (with more being added almost daily) in the mountains, there has been flooding in towns near us, with the high chance of more flooding in the near future.  Thankfully, we live high up out of a wash, so there really isn't much chance for flooding in our home (unless you count the time that our washing machine failed while filling and flooded the house a  few years ago).    I just had to go and get shot of the view from my scrapping room window.....
YAY BLUE SKY PEEKING THROUGH!!

Things are looking up on the home front....my lovely husband has found a permanent full time job that he starts on Monday.  WooHoo!!  I am also almost ready to shoot pics of my scrapping room to share with you on here.  I have had design team commitments that have kept me from being able to finish up on getting things organized and pictures taken.  Hopefully I will be ahead of the game in the next couple of weeks to shoot some pics and share them all here.

Today I am going to share a card that I created with the sketch at Lily Pad Cards that was sketched by my lovely past fellow DT member of Caardvarks, Lucy Abrams.  I also used a stamp from the sponsor, Lawn Fawn, on this card....it is called Bannerific.  This card was inspired by the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger - Some Royal Fun.

I popped the images up off the card with dimensional adhesive....for the cake, I stacked two of the dimensional adhesives together to give it more height than the frame.
      Supplies:
        Cardstock: Stampin' Up!
        Patterned paper: Making Memories
Die cuts: Cricut with Sentimentals and From My Kitchen carts
        Sticker: SRM Stickers
        Stamp: Lawn Fawn
        Pen: Zig
        Ink: Colorbox Fluid Chalk

Thanks for visiting!!

      Supplies:
        Cardstock: Stampin' Up!
        Stickers: SRM Stickers
        Other: Crochet thread, buttons

How's Life? - Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

Happy Sunday everyone!!  I had some time to get this card done today and wanted to share it with you while I am waiting for dinner to be done burn......OOPS!!  I also have a couple of layouts that I have been working on that I will share later this evening.

My card is based on last weeks Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World.  I love the look of the neutral colors with just a touch of turquoise in the Tuesday Trigger picture along with the buttons and cloth, so I tried to mimic the look on my card.

Here is my card:

(I do apologize for the lighting in the picture...it has been really cloudy today)
      Supplies:
        Cardstock: The Paper Company
        Sticker sentiment: SRM Stickers
Ribbon: Stampin' Up! (kraft), Offray (turquoise)
Buttons: Misc from my button jar
        Pen: Zig
Other: fabric, sewing machine and thread

Now, I need to go and get our (slightly burned) dinner on the table......that only happens once in a GREAT while when I get really distracted like I have been today. ;)  I also have a poll on the right side of my blog (near the top) that will let me know how you would like for me to do my HUGE giveaway that is coming up....all one prize or broken down into a few different prizes.  I am almost to the goal of 1000 followers/subscribers and so don't forget to check back soon.

Hugs,
