Angelica's Farewell Blog Hop with Peachy Keen Stamps

Hello and welcome to my blog!!  Today we are hoping to say goodbye to Angelica Suarez who has served as the Design Team/Marketing coordinator for Peachy Keen Stamps for the past three years, and as many of you know, she has made a difficult decision to leave her position with Peachy Keen Stamps for a new and exciting opportunity in the printing industry, which is near and dear to her heart.  We are so very sad to see her go, but we know that she will be very successful in her new venture.

If you came from Heather Hoffman's blog, you are in the right place.  If you just happened here upon chance and would like to go back and start at the beginning, hop on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps blog to see all the details and to get started on the hop.

I would to let Angelica know how much the opportunity she has given me to design with Peachy Keen Stamps has meant to me.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!  She has been a wonderful DT coordinator and  I would also like to wish her every success in the path she has chosen.  Here is the card I made for her from the June SOTM from Peachy Keen Stamps......

My little birdie is colored with Copic markers and I cut out the label piece with my Cricut Mini and the Art Philosophy cartridge.  The ribbon is from Maya Road and the pattern paper is from my scrap pile.  I added some  pen stitching and white pen details to the little birdie and then a little glossy accents to the cute little beak......

I used sketch 282 at CPS for the layout of my card.  I am also entering this card in the Gallon/Quart/Pint Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.  I used the red as the gallon, the turquoise as the quart, and the yellow on the beak and the talons as the pint.  =)

Now, it is time to hop on over to Lisa Buttafuoco's blog to see what she created for Angelica.  Don't forget to leave comments on everyone's blogs......the more blogs you visit and the more comments you leave along the way, the more chances you have of winning one of 4 $20 gift certificates to Peachy Keen Stamps.

Hi There!

So fun to pull out some of the older stamp sets I have hidden away and play along with some of my favorite challenges this week.  I created this card for Lawnscaping challenge #37 to use dimension and with the sketch 273 at CPS.

I used some foam adhesive to lift the images off of this card after I colored them with my Copic markers and cut them out.  The images are from the Critters in the Burbs stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  The sentiment is from Sophie's Sentiments also from Lawn Fawn.

Isn't it the cutest??  Want to know the best part??  I was able to use scraps for this whole card.  I love it when I can pull together left over material from other projects for a fun card like this.

Here are the challenges I am entering this into:

(I rotated this sketch for my card)

I am also going to enter this in the Moxie Fab World Stamp It Cards Week: The Hello Card Challenge.

Have a great day!! ♥

Hugs,
Amy

Flashback Friday's Blog Hop Celebration!!

Welcome to the Flashback Friday 20.0 blog hop celebration!!  If you are here from Yvonne's blog, you are in the right place, but if not and you would like to join in and have a chance at some wonderful prizes, CLICK HERE to start at the beginning and to get all the details.

I am really excited to get to join ~amy~ along with the other guest designers for Flashback Friday for this fun blog hop.  The theme for Flashback Friday 20.0 is Black and White.  You need to post a picture of your first Black and White card.  Well, I searched my archives on the blog and guess what.....I couldn't find a single card that is just black and white and I knew that I had created one at some point.  I dug into my card stash and sure enough there was one in there that I had partially created for a challenge a while ago and never posted because it was late.  I just added the the sticker sentiment to finish off the card.....

So, would you like a *peek* at the wonderful prizes that are up for grabs??

Click on the banner below to get started on the hop plus all the details on how to enter for the yummy goodies pictured above, but if you are already on your way through, hop on over to Karin's blog to see what she has to share with you.........and don't forget to leave your comment below......

Happy Birthday To My Little Man!!

Today is my little boy's birthday and we had a fun filled day.  Swimming, cake baking (and eating), card making, going out for pizza, opening presents, and blowing out candles made the day special for my little boy.  I also let my kids pick out their meals for the day on their birthdays......and my little man picked pancakes and sausage for breakfast, peanut butter and jelly with a cup of yogurt for lunch and pizza for dinner.  He also requested that I make him a card with a car on it and so I got busy making this fun card for him.  I used Sketch 233 from CPS for this card.  The car image is from the Nate's ABC's cart and my Cricut Expression.

The patterned paper is from Bella Blvd and the the sentiments are SRM Stickers.  I also added some black  Pearl Pens to the wheels.

Don't forget to scroll down and see who the winner is from the My Craft Spot blog hop is.  Thanks for stopping by!!

A Little Birdie Friend

Happy Weekend!!  I don't know about you, but I hope to get some crafting done this weekend, starting with this fun card I created with sketch 231 at CPS and the PDCC95 colors.  I used some stamps from Taylored Expressions along with a sentiment sticker from SRM Stickers.  The stars are clear embossed on the white cardstock and then I inked with some navy blue ink around all the edges inward and wiped the blue off of the embossed stars.  I didn't really like how the stars weren't standing out so much, so I also drew lines around them to help them stand out a little bit more.

Here is a close-up of the stamped and embossed images:

Here are the challenges I am using on this card:

Now, I really need to clean up my scrapping table......I have had a whole lot going on over the last couple of weeks and it looks like a wreck!!  Haha!!

Hugs,
Amy

Cardstock, patterned paper, ink, embossing powder: Stampin' Up!

May Your Day Bloom With Happiness

There is a fun new challenge up on My Craft Spot today.  The challenge is to use ribbon or twine on your project and for my card, I used both.........

Here is a close up of some of the details......

I had lots of fun creating this card.  I used my Cricut and Kate's ABC's for the wagon cut and Sentimentals for the scallop and circle cuts.  The stamp, ribbon, and twine are from My Craft Spot.  I added some Stickles to the flower and Viva Decor Pearl Pen to the other plant as well as the silver on the wheel and the silver accents next to the stamped image.  I used a white gel pen for accents and the patterned paper is from Bo Bunny.  I added some Glossy Accents to the pots, dragonfly wings and the orange part of the wheel to give them some shine.  Come on over and join us in this fun challenge at My Craft Spot this week.....you can have the chance to win your choice of three crinkle ribbons like the one on my card above.

I am entering this card in the CPS sketch 221 challenge this week, too.

You're Too Kind - Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

Happy weekend!!  We have a beautiful and sunny day here and I hope to get some time to go out and work in my garden.....but first, I have this card to share with you that I created from the Tuesday Trigger - Classically Modern this week on Moxie Fab World.  I was inspired by the colors, layout, blue flower pattern, and even the texture on the bed spread for my card.  I also used sketch 220 at CPS for my card.  I thought I would get back to my stamping roots on this card because I haven't stamped for a little while and it is how I got started in this wonderful paper crafting journey.  ♥

Here is the photo that my card is based on:

And, here is my card:

      Supplies-

Die cut image: Cricut with Gypsy Wanderings

Birthday Card for CPS

How is your Saturday going??  I have been slowly getting the house clean with all the depressing weather around.  I would like to boot Old Man Winter out the door and usher in Spring as soon as possible.  We have had about 10 inches of snow and it is still coming down.  I thought it would be fun to do this card with happy spring colors and hopefully it will change the weather's mind and make it want to bring spring on by.  I used CPS Sketch 212 for my card.  This is a tall card and it measures 4 x 9 inches.
      Supplies:
Cardstock, twine, stamp, marker - Stampin' Up!
Die cuts - Cricut with Birthday Bash cartridge
        Sticker sentiment - SRM Stickers
        Embossing - Cuttlebug
        Ink - Versamark
        Gel pen - Signo Uni-ball

Let me know if Spring has reached where you live.....maybe we will consider moving there....LOL

Live In The Moment

I think that it would be great if we all took the time to live in the moment.......take time from your day to not dwell on the past or worry about the future and just live in the moment and enjoy it.  I know that I can be caught up with worry and then the day goes by and I think "Why did I just let the day slip away and not spend some time enjoying the moment?"

I used the new Tuesday Trigger: Flower Power at Moxie Fab World along with the Sketch 206 at CPS for my card......I know, it doesn't exactly follow the sketch, but I started with the sketch and just let the card take a form of its own.  Usually I try to follow sketches as closely as possible, but this card just went in it's own direction and here is what I came up with.
      Supplies:
Cardstock, stamp, ink, markers: Stampin' Up!
        Sticker: SRM Stickers
        Embossing: Cuttlebug
        Other: brad (unknown), crochet thread

Remember.........

Whew!!  What a week I have had.  Last night and all day today my baby has been quite sick and pretty much stuck to mom.  I always feel so bad when my babies are sick....especially my littlest one because she doesn't understand the concept of being sick.  I have also been taking care of so many DT projects lately.  I will get to share them with you in a little bit.

I took a little break from doing design team work to make a card for CPS sketch 203.  I rotated the sketch for my card.  I stamped with acrylic paint onto fabric.....it was messy, but fun and I love the texture.  I was quite happy with it until my dear husband told me that this is the first card that I have made that looks like it was done by a child.  =(

What do you think??

Here is a little bit of a close up:

I even completed the inside of the card with the rest of the sentiment from the newly released SRM Stickers:

      Supplies:
        Cardstock, stamp, ink: Stampin' Up!
        Stickers: SRM Stickers
Die cut label: Cricut Expression with
          Once Upon A Princess cartridge
Other: fabric, thread, needle, raffia, button
Thanks for stopping by!!

Glittery Christmas Cards

Christmas time is almost here.  Are you all ready??  I am done with shopping and I have a few things that I am making for family that I need to finish up, but other than that, I am all ready.  I do apologize for not posting more lately, but I have been busy with Christmas projects and celebrations and my scrapping room has been a little neglected lately.  It felt great to get down there yesterday and make a couple of cards.

I used CPS Sketch 197 for these card as well as the Glitter Is Glam Challenge at Moxie Fab World.

Cardstock: The Paper Company (kraft), Stampin' Up! (blue), Bazzill (white)
Patterned paper: Provo Craft  - Rob & Bob Studios
Die cut: Cricut Expression with Stretch Your Imagination cartridge
        Sticker: SRM Stickers
Glitter: Stampin' Up! (chunky green), Stickles (yellow)
Other: Button, hemp twine, dyed seam binding

Sorry about the poor pictures.  We haven't really seen much of the sun lately and so I had to rely on artificial lighting to get these shots.  I have some new projects that I did with the Bigger Than A Bread Box December kit from Apron Strings Designs that I will be posting in the next couple of days.  Stay tuned!!

Hugs,
