It's been a while since I've seen a javelina. They've visited us many times - packs of them eating bread, tipping over garbage, licking the wheel seals on the truck, playing with coffee cans - but I haven't seen one in almost a year and a half. This guy was alone, in the front yard, just rooting around the dirt and eating whatever he could find.
He seemed to get spooked a few times because his back hair went up, but once he realized he was safe, he went right back to munching. See video here.
