Last night we had dinner at Napa River Grill in Louisville, after our first full day at the truck show. Joining us were our friends Greg and Marlaina, author Linda Sands, and her writer friend, Angela Durden. The both drove up from Atlanta to attend the show.On the left side: Marlaina, Angela and me. On the right side: Linda, Greg (Marlaina's husband) and Eddie.
We started our fantastic meal with several appetizers. Ed perused the menu and made our first choice, the Trifecta; Bodega Bay crab cake, 9oz. seared lobster tail and baked shrimp scampi. It was served with a roasted garlic bulb and focaccia. The lighting in the restaurant wasn't super great, but here's the picture. This was the most expensive appetizer on the menu at $42.95. The lobster tail was amaaaazzzzing. And crab legs actually fell out of that crab cake! After the lobster melted in my mouth, I decided Ed's choice was well worth the coin.
Dinner was just as good. Three in our party had the Ménage à Trois (Ed, Greg and Linda), I had the Ranchers Aged Rib Eye, Angela had the Ground to Order Rib Eye Cheeseburger and Marlaina had the Halibut special. The appetizer and the house made cornbread they laid out on the table was enough to keep us full through what would have been our dessert. We looked at the menu, but just didn't have room.
This was just the beginning of a food extravaganza weekend!
